Smoked meat. A bit overly smoked for my taste but the meat was very tender.

Local Sports Bar Vibes + Ono Comfort Food If you're looking for polished, trendy, or craft cocktails, this isn't it. But if you want ono local-style bar food, generous portions, a rotating board of $10 specials, and a true "local sports bar" feel, this is da place. Perfect for grabbing a plate, a beer, and watching the game without breaking the bank. I haven't found another sports bar with Fried Gizzards on the menu. That's local style bra ;) The menu hits all the local favorites with fried noodles, kalbi, fish & chips, teri burgers, dried ika, and plenty of pupus for sharing. The specials board is a winna, with $10 deals like shoyu chicken, lau lau, smoke meat, and teri cheeseburgers with fries. Solid portions, local flavors, and prices that won't hurt your wallet...much. Lots of big screen TVs line the walls, so you can catch the game from every seat. There are booths for small groups, long tables for larger crews, and bar seating if, like me, you want to elbow up. Dart boards in the back add to the old-school bar feel. Service is exactly what you'd expect from a spot like this, super friendly, no fuss, local style. Parking is limited out front, but you can find more across the street at the Central Pacific Bank lot after hours (flat $7). Overall, this is a laid-back, neighborhood-style sports bar that does what it's supposed to. Good food, good drinks, and plenty of TVs for the game. No frills, just the real deal. Let's Go Chargers!!

Food was excellent. Great service. Nice place for a gathering. We got here a little early so we were able to get parking. Staffs here are super attentive. We came here for a get together which was a perfect place.

Came for 80's night. I felt like the youngest person in there LOL. The band playing was Wasabi and they were really good. They sure got the crowd going. I ordered the chicken salad which was good, but would've been better with white meat/chicken breast. Hubby said the tater totts were crispy. He also had a BLT and Spam/Egg combo, which he liked. Parking is a challenge. The lot got full fast. You can park in the lot across the street for a $7.00 flat fee until 6am. They also have street parking if you're lucky.

It was kinda dark outside lol!

First of all congratulations on the new location! This is my OG of OG and gosh how cool and spacious is their new spot though on the flip side parking is now the biggest challenge. I totally love the vibe here as it's super huge in comparison of their smaller former space it's incredible how many tv's they also got as there will never be a fear of missing out no matter where you're sitting. As soon as you step in there's a white board filled with specials and the one that caught our eyes was the Laulau plate...yum! Their regular menu is filled with all things we love like Spam & Egg, Fried Noodles, Kal Bi, Lechon even Vienna sausage. We did order the Laulau plate along with Garlic Soybeans, Chicken Wings, and yup Saimin! Everything was super good and just how I like it feels like home and comfort foods. The staff here is just so friendly and constantly checking up on us and all the tv's was just a great disconnect to a forced conversation lol! Nice and spacious to brings groups of all sizes to enjoy whatever the occasion brings Anyplace is the the place to be! Thank you!

My cuz picked me up around 9:15 in Waikīkī, and we arrived at nearby Anyplace around 9:30ish. Unfortunately, it was a Thu and it was last call. Nonetheless, we enjoyed a beer and cocktail at the bar from the nice bartender. I peeked at tbe menu, and it looked like they had good food. My cuz confirmed the foregoing. The ambiance is very casual, and is atypical of local joints in Hawai'i. Most people were locals and you could feel the Aloha. I'll have to come back on a Fri or Sat when they stay open til midnight. I'd like to sample some pupus (apps) while enjoying a reasonably priced drink.

Plan for reservations well in advance because you're going to want to sit at the bar. That's where the storytelling is center stage. From the outside, you'd easily miss it. But once you step inside, you realize you're stepping into an experience. Every drink comes with a unique story and the bartender is not simply a storyteller but an artist as well.

To my surprise, on a Sunday evening after having dinner nearby at Maze, my wife and I walked over to Bar Leather Apron and we were able to get seated right away! In fact, around 7:30 p.m. when we stopped by, there was actually a ton of seating available in the bar. Who would've guessed. If you're in the same boat as me and are unable to find a reservation for your upcoming visit, I would encourage you to stop by and try a walk-in. The first page of the menu lists a wide variety of whiskey based cocktails. Most -- if not all, of the cocktails are pre-fixed with BLA (Bar Leather Apron), and represent a collaboration with the named distillery. If you're fan of whiskey, you'll definitely have a difficult time picking only one. I ultimately ordered their "Take Warning" -- 2021 BLA Knob Creek BLA Single Barrel, Cynar, Carpano Antica, Mezcal, Bergamot Salt. Drinks here are not cheap -- averaging $20 to $25 per drink. Although my drink was very spirit forward, it still felt very well balanced. I appreciated the hint of smokiness from the mezcal that rounded out the end of a sip. Service here quick and friendly. When we received the check, a cute small chocolate snack was brought over as well, borrowed from the menu at Maze. Overall, I can see why Bar Leather Apron has earned so many accolades in its field. Definitely worth a stop by if you enjoy the art of mixology.

Located on the 2nd floor of the 430 Piikoi Parkway building (hence the name) at the corner of Piikoi and Waimanu St., across from Ala Moana Shopping Center. Look for the "430" sign, and take the stairs up. To be sure, you'll see a menu for this place on the left before you head up. They have a shared, pay by QR code, parking lot around the corner. Inside is dark, small and intimate, full bar with counter seats, and hits all the points of a lounge with coffee tables, couches, and cushioned chairs all around made for conversation. Their menu has a nice selection of liquor and cocktails. The Barreled Old Man was a little too sweet for my taste. Little bit heavy on the Averna and Black Walnut liqueur. I prefer the whiskey to shine and the sweetness to be more subtle. Their regular Old Fashioned is much better, and exactly how it should be. Smooth, rich, strong whiskey with a subtle sweetness. They can make a Pina Colada, fyi. Just not with a blender. Decent drink. Slightly heavy on the pineapple juice and light on the rum (Why is the rum always gone? - Captain Jack Sparrow). The Wiseman - light, nice rye spice kick, subtly sweet, earthy, and oaky. Rowan's Creek was a special recommendation by our server. After a sample, we had to try one. Smooth, earthy, spicy with a slight sweet- and fruitiness. Overall, a very nice experience with solid drinks, comfortable, relaxed atmosphere, and an excellent staff. The servers were very friendly, warm, hospitable, knowledgeable, and attentive. I'll definitely come back the next time for drinks!

I was just skipping around town exploring wanting to check-in to as many places as I could like the responsible Yelp elite that I am and then I find this amazing hole on the wall speakeasy. So of course, I took the invite and decided to stay for a little while. We sat at a nice area. A perfect little place. The server recommended drinks that he thought we would like, and we loved both of them.
