This is the same treatment I've had many times elsewhere with flawless results. The first round here didn't work at all. I went back for a touch-up, paid another $800. It still didn't work. I was told it was an issue with the botox. Despite paying essentially paying double, I decided to let that go and go get the third round of Botox. By the third round, my forehead was finally frozen - but my smile was destroyed. The left side now looks like I'm grimacing instead of smiling, and only with effort can I force it to look halfway normal. My natural smile is gone. I reached out with photos and a video showing the damage and specifically asked not to deal with the same injector who had already failed me twice. The very next day, he was the one who contacted me anyway. After I sent clear proof of the issue, the clinic disappeared and never responded. They took my money, botched my face, and ghosted me when I complained. Absolutely unacceptable - avoid this place at all costs.

I then received an appointment reminder one day before my visit and confirmed that I would be coming. Despite having a confirmed appointment, when I arrived, I was refused service and not seen. This was extremely disappointing and a waste of my time. The communication I received as a new client was extremely rude and unprofessional. A first interaction with a business should make customers feel respected and welcomed, but unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. The way this situation was handled showed a lack of professionalism and poor customer service.

I was trying to save a wisdom tooth from extraction, and without medical education I knew it was completely salvageable. She mocked and dismissed me for even thinking that someone out there would agree to work on my tooth: "This tooth!?". She said the tooth was not visible and "in bone", so no one can ever work on it (after I temporarily filled the tooth myself at home). She tried to put me down and sent me directly for surgical extraction. Well, doctor Chern, today I found a dentist whose face is everywhere in magazines, and who told me: "You are actually right. This tooth CAN be repaired". What are you going to say to that, dr. Chern? Apparently if the patient's case, situation and desired outcome are slightly different from the easiest "drill and fill by the book" scenario, this doctor is going to crudely dismiss you. Is it because she is only capable to deal with cases which are extremely easy beginner dental level, or is it because she doesn't like to bother? In either case you can judge for yourself about this place. Not even worth mentioning the rude hygienist making faces due to the way I look (yes, I am in fact highly intelligent - I notice these things), and the ancient way of printing out PDF forms to fill at home, unless you come 30 minutes earlier to fill there - of course she didn't even read all the problems I had noted in the forms. These are all minor and negligible issues I could live with though. And so, yes... I was right, she was wrong. I can keep my tooth, I can save myself the risks of buccal fat pad injury, nerve injury, alveolar artery rupture, sedation risks, etc., etc., etc. You judge now, dear reader.

I also received Invisalign treatment here and found it to be good. Not sure if it's the best as I haven't gone anywhere else for it, but appointments were easy to schedule and the check ins (beside the original few fittings) were super fast. I'm happy with my results and glad I did it. Besides cosmetic reasons, my teeth clenching + teeth alignment we're putting pressure on my gums causing sensitivity and gum recession. When my neighborhood dentist was on vacation and I was due for a checkup after giving birth, I went to a dentist in Midtown who said I had no cavities, but that dentist said I should consider getting an implant for a molar that I was born without. When I saw Dr Tracz the next day about the implant, she said that I had 2 cavities that the dentist hadn't noticed the day before. I didn't do anything about them and had a hard time getting out with a full time job and a baby, but I figured I was safe because of the previous day's dentist. Six months later, I went to Dr. Tracz for a cleaning, and she said I had 5 cavities, including one cavity that needed replacement. A few days later, I went to my neighborhood dentist who said that I had only 2 cavities. She is definitely a perfectionist and very cautious. She has twice suggested that I get invisalign (cost = many thousands + frequent visits), says "well if you don't do what I suggest, then this bad thing will happen", and also has this idea that middle-aged people who had braces should find their retainers from childhood and start wearing them again. I'm really not sure which approach is appropriate --- the more conservative approach of my neighborhood dentist and the dentist I saw once in Midtown, or her more aggressive approach.

My husband finally started this year, and a few months later, his teeth gradually started to align as Dr. Yan showed him during the consultation. Sometimes it takes time for patients to understand what a true and honest professional is suggesting. Another similar story involves my wisdom teeth. I hated to have them extracted when Dr. Yan warned me that they would eventually get a cavity because it is impossible to clean them completely. They got cavity this year and I have to schedule an oral surgery to get rid of them, but I kind of worry when the toothache happens. Sometimes, great and responsible doctors sound so serious and damn rational, and we as patients still have wishful thinking in our minds as long as our teeth don't feel bad...
