I never believed in the saying that "all good things must come to an end" until I made a recent visit to the place that I thought cared about it's customers and rendering good nail care services. Businesses must learn that continuous improvement is key within any changing environment. In a recent visit to Amy Nails, my mother and I received poor service and inadequate nail care. The manicurist that they assigned to give me my gel nail didn't know how to apply the product and commenced to glop on uneven color. When I showed the job to another manicurist who seemed to be more seasoned, she looked at me bewildered. She knew it wasn't a good job but wanted me to sit through another horrible coat. I asked for her to remove it and she still tried to charge me full price for the manicure that wasn't. Additionally, she cut my finger in the process of cutting my cuticles and my mom sat and waited for 30 minutes and didn't have her manicure completed. They seemed to cater to "other" customers and our time and money was of no concern. Needless to say, I had thought that they were a good salon and patronized them...even sending people there way. A plummet in their service has occurred and I will no longer support their salon. Now looking for a better place to get my manicure and pedicures! read more

Horrible experience. I have gotten my nails done about once a week for the last three years, so I know a good nail salon. My friend and I came here at the suggestion of my coworker for the cheap prices ($24 mani/pedi) and the great service. While the price was cheap, I definitely got what I paid for. We both came at about 11:30 on a Monday. There was only one woman there, which was very unusual to me. She kept claiming that more people were coming, and that she would start on my friend. An hour into it, no one else was there! She lied the entire time, saying over and over again that more employees were coming. Since we made a special trip out here, I was not about to leave with my nails undone. One woman doing two mani/pedi's takes two and a half hours! I was in shock at the end of this. How can they do business like this? Also, the interior was not clean looking, but they do get points for having a fantastic selection of nail polishes, both OPI and Essie in the latest colors. My nails looked alright at the end, but both my friend and my toe nails were cut at very strange angles and looked strange. I will definitely not be coming back here. read more

Most horrible experience I've ever had. They told me they could do my nails at 4 and Made me wait u til 6. My nails turned from white to yellow before I even left the salon and when I showed the woman she began yelling at me. They were making jokes under their breathe and I left with the worst manicure I've ever had feeling awful. I originally got my nails done here about a week ago...the service wasn't super quick-took about 2 hours for mani/pedi but the prices were cheap and hey did a good job. Downside was the don't take tip on a card and make you go to some weird liquor store down the street. The really frustrating thing is it's been less than a week now, and one of my acrylics just popped off. I have been here about 6 times now.. I usually come with a friend so it's more fun but I will NOT be coming back! One of the ladies Kim is the rudest most disrespectful person there!!! All she does is talk shit about every single person that comes in - immediately as they come in - in her language which the others join in or laugh!! SO UNPROFESSIONAL!! Grow up you middle age bitter woman. This happened to me twice & yesterday was the last straw!! I was very tired & had no make-up on which I can easily say that I was having a bad day. After some time my turn finally came around & my lady - Tina- was doing my manicure. I swear to God the ENTIRE time she (Kim) kept asking Tina what we were talking about & all of a sudden looked at me and said something really mean that the others thought to be funny because Tina kept looking at my face & laughing. This happens all the time!! Wow! Gross! So immature & classless! The owners (which I know none of them are) should really put down some rules ASAP!! That they ( manicurists) should only focus on their job when they have a customer & talk either in English or about business only when customers are there! People are not stupid just because we don't speak their language doesn't mean we can't understand when someone talks badly about us; especially at a nail salon where u go to for positive experience!!!!! I wasn't too impressed. I was in a bridal party and we all had an appointment to get all of our mani and pedi's there before the big day. We found the location and parking wasn't any issue. We walked in and the establishment was no frills, no modern décor it was just an average nail place. Even though we had an appointment we had to still wait. There is no massage chairs to sit in while getting a mani or pedi. They actually bring a bucket of water to your seat for your pedi. They do not seem to specialize in any fancy nail art or design. Just the basics I guess. I didn't even bother asking as it just didn't look like they did. No samples or pictures . Our nails came out acceptable. Nothing really extraordinary to elaborate about. They were done and painted. My nail polish has lasted for a generous amount of time. That's a good thing. If you are expecting some high end fancy place then I wouldn't recommend this place. However, if you just want the very basics with no frills to enhance your experience this could be a place for you. I would highly recommend an appointment just in case read more

I tried this place for the first time tonight. They accepted me as a walk in at 8:30 pm and everyone was really nice. The reason I am giving this place 4 stars is that they were trying to sell me a mani along with my pedi, even though I didnt want it (since I just had one the night before) and that communicating with them was very difficult as they dont speak any word of English but other than that the service was great and they were really nice. read more

Over the years it's been harder for me to find time to drive all the way to Amy Nails for my manicuer/pedicure/threading, but whenever I do have the free time, I DO SO! WORST SERVICE I EVER RECEIVED! BIG WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! I rate this place as a MINUS-10! Tina lied to me about the services and times. It took 2 long hours just to get a change of paint when that is Not the service I requested or wanted. The service was the worst I have ever experienced. Tina was rude and nasty. I can't believe they are still in business! When I arrived and asked if I could get Gel nails and Tina replied, "Yes, the entire process will take 40 minutes." However, 2 hours later it turns out that no one in the store was capable of doing gel nails. They started my nails but then made me wait around for 30 minutes at a time promising they were sending someone over who could do the job. It turns out, no one in the store knew how to do the service. Since I paid up front, I asked for my money back but they refused. It was getting close to closing time so they offered to slap on a change-of-paint instead. Now I have to go to another salon and spend time and money to have my nails done right. Went on a Saturday morning and was given to Linda for a pedicure. There was just a small tub with water for soaking.. No big chair or massage but it didn't matter once Linda started. She was very through and did a wonderful job. I added a scrub with callus softening. I also needed paper flip flops and my total was $20. The best money spent. My feet look great. I gave her a $10 tip, she more than earned. I would use her. Ask for her. read more

I felt like treating myself to a mani today after a doctor's appointment, so I searched the Yelp app and decided to try this place. So glad I did! The staff is very friendly and were able to take me as a walk-in. But I think I was just lucky, so it'd be best to phone in because they became pretty busy while I was there. The woman who did my full set (I wish I could remember her name-so lovely!) was thorough and made sure to check with me every few minutes about how it was going. The salon is clean and neat, nothing flashy. The prices are great considering this is in Beverly Hills. All in all, I can definitely see myself returning for my fill set in a few weeks! read more

If you come here plan to wait. I've been sitting here for 35 mins with foils on my nails to take my existing gel off before getting a gel manicure. The lady didn't even come back to check on me. I keep giving Amy's Nails a quality try, but every time I go I am thoroughly disappointed. The staff is nice and my mani/pedi's are always fine. But the wait-time is ridiculous. This last experience has been consistent with all the other chances I have given them. When I walk in the door they always tell me to take a seat and someone will be with me. Thirty five minutes later they grab me. It becomes quite frustrating, and I wish they would just be honest with the time so I wouldn't become so irritated. This time I parked in a meter pretty far and gave myself 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete the mani/pedi. After 1 hour and 40 minutes they weren't close to being done!!!! I had to walk out in the middle the mani/pedi or else I would risk a $50 parking ticket. I paid full price...for a half complete mani/pedi. Very frustrating to me! After working an 11 hour shift as a nurse I rushed to Amy's nails to get my nails done for my bridal shower that I was traveling out of state for. I was told that there was a 30 minute wait which I gladly said okay to since I needed my nails done. After waiting 35 minutes the woman came up to me and told me to come back another day. She insisted that two other girls were there with appts HOWEVER those two girls walked in after me and I heard specifically that they had no appts. Because of the wait I was unable to get my nails done for my bridal shower and I am getting on flight today for the east coast. This nail salon was recommended by two of my nursing friends however after telling them the story they both said they would never be back. I "discovered" Kim when she worked at a different shop about 15 years ago. She then went to another shop and I followed her even though the prices there were totally unreasonable. Then she and her sister Amy opened Amy Nails Design and I will never leave. The place is immaculate and the girls are friendly. I cannot for the life of me understand past reviews that say "they don't speak a word of English" (totally untrue) or "they don't do designs, only the basics" - also totally untrue. In fact I have seen stunning nail designs come off of Amy's brush.. Moreover, ladies, this is a one-stop shop: not only can you get whatever you desire for all 20 nails done professionally and perfectly, but they do waxing, threading and massage. WONDERFUL massage where they milk the clock instead of stopping as soon as the timer beeps. If you walk in to a nail salon and they are busy or a little short-staffed one day, how can you not expect to wait a little bit? Typically there are plenty of gals ready to work on you whenever. Lots of guys come here too. Smart men. My highest recommendation. Do yourself a favor and try it, you won't be sorry. read more

Do not go here !!! Me and my friend made an appointment for mani pedis at 4, they said they had availability and scheduled the appointment. I get there on time and tell them we were the ones that made the appointments. I go to choose my colors and as I'm choosing a lady comes in and asks if they can do mani pedi and they say yes. Anyway, once I choose my color I go to the bathroom and they begin to do my friends nails. When I come out of the bathroom the lady who walked in after me and did not have an appointment is getting her nails done, and there is no one to do my nails.... I waited 40 minutes and kept asking them when my nails were going to get done and they said after the other lady... I pointed out that I made an appointment and she didn't and they did not care. The first time I went here, I was really happy with the way that the lady did my nails French, except that she put a clear coat instead of a light white or pink, so I went back, making an appointment with the same person to avoid waiting. When I came in, she was with someone even though I made an appointment, and after waiting for ten minutes, I spoke up, to which she responded that the client was only getting a clear polish and she was almost done. Finally when she took me, she kept badgering me to get a manicure instead of a polish change, and I had to repeat over and over that I was not interested. I really didn't like that. I also noticed that she didn't use a clean tool, which grossed me out. Then, it was time for her to apply the coat over the white tip; she grabbed only a clear top coat. I asked her to grab a light pink, and she argued with me loudly. She refused to apply the color I wanted and I was paying for. She actually screamed at me and also said some things in another language. I insisted that I wanted the color I wanted and she was actually angry and very rude.
