I prefer my brownies with a little more chew but this was fun and tasty :) - Coffee toffee cookie (3.5/5) and Dulce oatmeal cookie (5/5): both cookies were soft and slightly chewy. The coffee toffee cookie definitely had that coffee flavor, but it wasn't very sweet, making the overall flavor a bit muted. The oatmeal cookie had a nice balance of just a bit of saltiness with an almost honey or caramelized taste when biting into the valrhona chocolate pieces-- very moreish :D - Chocolate bourbon pecan tart (4/5): more pecan-forward than chocolatey, and it was chock full of nuts. MT enjoyed this one as it wasn't too sweet. I was glad it didn't taste like or have the texture of pecan pie but would enjoy it more if it had more chocolate flavor, maybe with a thick layer of chocolate ganache. It was quiet on a weekday morning with plenty of parking in their lot. Inside, there were two tables and self serve water (yes!). The two staff members inside were friendly, and our visit just seemed very wholesome :) After our visit, I went to read more about the business on their website-- really neat to learn about the owner's journey and realized she was one of the people working in the kitchen that day! I visited Fluff's old location a decade ago and am happy to find them thriving in their new one. They apparently do weekend drops that are really popular too (check IG). The croissant itself was the real star. It was so flaky and so rich. I found myself peeling off layer after layer of the bread before even getting to the filling. The pastrami and mustard inside were great, but honestly... I just wanted the croissant. That said, it was a bit pricey. I would absolutely love if they sold plain croissants regularly because the pastry alone is worth the trip. It's a small bakery with limited seating inside and outside, and on Saturdays things sell out fast so get there early and expect a line.

The service was great as I'm a big question asking person and the owner answered all of my questions as well as helped me to place my order. They were located near one of the trails for Hermann Park, right in front of McGovern Centennial Gardens. It was a great location that was easy to find. I'm somewhat skeptical when it comes to places doing other little things like this that have a spin on something that works. Usually the spin is different but not necessarily better or even a real change. This is not that. The donut cone is actually a plus to the ice cream cone experience. It's a soft sweet thing that adds to it. Donuts in particular are something that to me are almost never as good, ie: donut burgers, but it works here. I personally enjoy a sweet donut so their donut cone is good but could actually be a little sweeter for me. They offer a split, cone and sundae with all of them including a variation of the doughcone. I ordered the Handmade DoughCone to keep things simple. The cone has a hole at the bottom but it's plugged with a strawberry to prevent leakage, which is just a bonus. The flavors of the ice cream and toppings is really part of what shined for me. I'm not sure if they make their own ice cream or not but it tasted like a good quality ice cream to me. The ice cream is a fresh vanilla bean, and I'm sure some would want more ice cream flavors but vanilla bean is one of my favorites so it's great for me. I meant to do this review a while ago so I'm not 100% on some of the toppings, but here's what I believe I had. O got either the cookie butter sauce or the strawberry dream drip sauce. It could've been both though honestly knowing me. I don't remember what the secret sauce was at the time I went there. I don't remember what the secret luxury topping was but I got the churro dust and crushed Oreos, as well as some fresh strawberries. Everything was delicious!! All of the toppings worked well together, and as I said it was all with a good ice cream. Getting to eat the doughcone along the way was just the "cherry on top" if you will. It was a good blend of soft but sturdy to hold up everything. I specifically travelled to find this place and after eating it, I can proudly say I'd travel again. Great customer service with great offerings will always be the key to earning me as a repeat customer.

It's a self serve style bakery where you pick which pastries/items you want and however many your tray can fit; then pay at the counter. Drinks are also ordered at the counter to compliment your items; the korean iced coffee is one of my favorites. There's indoor and outdoor seating and I appreciate how clean the staff keeps this place. They move quickly and make your drinks with precision and speediness. Maybe this is a personal ick... but if I have to self-serve myself pastries from a display case and only interact with staff for tap-to-pay, I don't want to be prompted to tip. It's a business's job to pay their employees a liveable wage, especially when I paid $13 for a coffee and a croissant that I got myself. Despite all that negativity... I do imagine I'll be back.
