One of Korea's top tier bakery is finally in the heights! Everything was freshly baked daily, with quality ingredients. The place is very cute, great for a coffee and delicious treat or just to get out of office and remote work. The place is very modern and aesthetic. I ordered the ny cheese tart and a blueberry strudel. Both were airy and crispy. Not too sweet and hint of salt

Me and my daughter stopped by the other day it was nice inside and super clean and organized. Me and my daughter got various pastry options and we got an iced matcha it was good and a cold brew for me but for my preference it wasn't good too bitter. The pastries were pretty basic nothing crazy you probably can get the same at heb for alot cheaper. It was a bit pricey for size and flavor but we wanted to try it and see what the hype was about

Displays where you can choose your own delicious pastries!

I was excited to try this place! I had heard great things. I visited around lunch time on a Friday. There was some construction going on in the front's parking lot but I easily found spots in the back. It was busy but not crowded. You get a tray from the front and get to choose your own desserts from the display cases. There were so many good options! I went with some savory options - a hot dog crossiant for my fiance and a hash brown egg and cheese and a two sweet options- fruity pebbles donut and a blueberry cream pastry. All of them were delicious. The service was great if you got pastries only. However, I had some difficulties getting my smores latte, one of their seasonal beverages when I went. The drink took at least 15 minutes to make and many people got their drinks before me. It seemed like the staff wasn't familiar in how to make it and avoided making my drink. When I got it, it was so sweet. I like a sweet latte, but I could not drink this. The other coffees look good, so I learned I would get a regular cold brew or latte next time. Overall, the location is clean and pretty efficient other than the coffee situation when I went. I'll definitely be back to try more of their pastries!

Delicious and soft pastries ! Will say they are a bit more expensive verses other fresh & chain bakeries in the area so i don't plan to go often

Empty shelfs 7am in a Sunday- while it is open at 6

Why open the door at 6 if almost nothing is available? I got there actually 7am on a Sunday and most of the stuff was not available at all.

Stopped by and didn't realize it was their grand opening! Such an amazing staff. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Assisted me with every question I had. Pastries looked amazing and delicious especially the berry tart and ham and cheese pastry!! Definitely will be back to try more items. So excited this place opened!

The Vanilla Sweet Cream cold brew was so bad; it tasted like straight foam and chocolate syrup. ):

The croissant itself was the real star. It was so flaky and so rich. I found myself peeling off layer after layer of the bread before even getting to the filling. The pastrami and mustard inside were great, but honestly... I just wanted the croissant. That said, it was a bit pricey. I would absolutely love if they sold plain croissants regularly because the pastry alone is worth the trip. It's a small bakery with limited seating inside and outside, and on Saturdays things sell out fast so get there early and expect a line.

Parking was really easy as there is a lot in the front and it was not busy. I got two pastries - a Cherry Bakewell Tart and an Almond Blueberry Financier. It is fairly small and the people there were kind. The pastries were delicious. The shortcrust base of the Cherry Bakewell was perfectly crumbly and the cherry jam was just the right amount of tartness. The Financier was equally tasty as the blueberries also had a similar sweet and mildly tart taste that balanced the buttery almond cake. Both pastries go great with coffee or tea. I will definitely be adding this bakery to my Heights rotation. I look forward to tasting more of their items and hopefully trying some of their weekend specials!

What's nudged this place up to 5 stars for me is they have really improved their coffee game, specifically their quality of cappuccino's. Previously it seemed more of latte, but now to me its a legit Capp. Their choice of pastries hasn't changed, which gives you a good assortment of choices and they have added an additional barista or server which also is a nice touch for service. The only niggling items, parking can be tough, so you'll have to either walk a block or be quick to find a place close by. Regardless, definitely give this place a go to come for a pastry and coffee.

Many of the desserts are beautifully presented and almost too pretty to eat. I especially enjoyed the tiramisu and the apricot mousse dessert, while the drinks were decent overall. It was a pleasant experience, especially since we were able to use our hotel credit. That said, the prices are on the higher side, so I'm not sure I would make a special trip just for it. Still, it's a lovely stop if you're already staying at or visiting the hotel.

I love to eat at El Bolillo Bakery. It all started because my boyfriend really loves their conchas,…read moreso he was the one who introduced me to the place. I've always liked bakeries, but I try to eat on the healthier side, so I usually avoid anything that might tempt me.But I am a sucker for cinnamon rolls, so when I saw they had them, of course I had to try one and they are so, so good. Now we actually go there about once every two weeks because we love it that much and I look forward to opening the front doors and smelling the sweet smell of baked goods Recently we also found out that they have cheese & sausage kolaches, and oh my gosh, they are delicious. They are really, really good and were such a nice surprise when we tried them. The location closest to us is the one on Airline Drive, and we usually go in the afternoon so we can avoid the after-work crowd. That time of day works really well for us because there aren't too many people, which makes it easier to grab bread and look around without feeling rushed. The ordering process is pretty quick and simple. You grab your metal tray and tongs, open each little door, pick what you want, and put it on the tray. When you're ready, you go to the register where the ladies count the breads, ring everything up, and bag it nicely for you. We're usually in and out pretty fast, which we really like. We love going to El Bolillo, and at this point it has definitely become a staple for us. We honestly can't get enough of it.
