Were friendly and were sure to use your preferred strength, but (how I would prefer it) they weren't chatting with me during the massage. They give you a little tea at the end as well. Very fair prices for the quality I thought. I will say that you must go into this massage knowing that the facility of Arisa is nothing special. It is in a strip mall like office building area. Inside they have it looking nice, but you can hear a little bit of noise from the nearby businesses at times.

I think that's so helpful. I was paired with Sonia and she was amazing! She made sure that the pressure was not too much a few times and that was nice. Working on my back, she could tell what needed to be focused on. Afterwards, I paid and then received a small cup of non caffeinated tea. Such a wonderful touch to the experience. My only feedback which I recognize not much can change about this is the rooms are in separated curtains, not doors/walls. So it makes it feel not 100% private with sounds and potential for someone to just peak through the curtains.

Got a one hour deep tissue massage which consisted of strong pressure as expected, along with fast movements almost the entire time. My masseuse, Cindy, was working hard with all of the rapid movement, so much that she was out of breath with this unique approach. Some may consider it rough, but my muscles can take a beating so I was fine with it even with a little pain in the process. I particularly enjoyed the leg and foot massage which focused on the outer leg and pressure points on the foot. It was effective for me. The face hole on the massage bed was slightly uncomfortable, and the temperature in the room was a bit cold with the AC running strong on a not-so-hot day, but I hung in there. I liked the music playing in the background, a combination of classical tunes and instrumental renditions of songs like Hallelujah and Ghost by Justin Bieber. Paying at the end via credit card, with a cash tip, was straightforward without any problems.

When I paid for my 90-minute massage ($150) and handed the therapist a $20 cash tip, she visibly sighed and aggressively demanded that I tip her more. She even pressured me to put an additional tip on my credit card, completely ignoring their own "cash tips only" sign. Tipping should reflect the quality of the service, and a $20 tip on a subpar massage is more than fair. Shaming and cornering customers at the front desk for more money is incredibly unprofessional. I felt manipulated and stressed right after a relaxation treatment. Will not be returning.

However she's also super chatty and likes to vent about politics, her life, etc during the session, which can make for a super draining and exhausting massage. This was enough to outweigh the good for me personally, and made me leave to search for a better fit for me personally. I saw Stacey a while ago (I'm way behind on my Yelp reviews) for therapeutic massage. PROS: Stacey is clearly a super talented massage therapist who is passionate about her work and her business. I was impressed by her intuition for the human body, her use of massage techniques and tools that I had never seen before but that had a huge therapeutic payoff, and her creativity in approaching massage problem-solving. I noticed a big and tangible difference in my body post-session. CONS: Stacey is definitely a talker and is super chatty, whether or not you feel like talking during your session. I'm more used to massage therapists who have quiet sessions, ask the clients whether or not they want to talk or would like a quiet session, or are better at picking up at signals as to whether or not a client wants to be talking, and letting the client lead whether or not there is conversation during the session. She definitely spent some time venting to me about politics, her life, her partner, etc -- all the venting can make for a super draining and exhausting massage. I found this unprofessional and inappropriate to vent to a client during their session - which is supposed to be entirely about the client and the client's needs, not a therapist's need to talk and to vent to a captive audience (the immobile client). I found the session vibe to be negative at times (not what you want for an expensive massage!) and unpleasant and draining and exhausting. This was enough to outweigh the good for me personally, because I had a hard time going back to work afterwards because I was so drained and exhausted. So it made me leave to search for a better fit for me personally. Stacey's definitely a super talented massage therapist though, with such tangible improvements to clients' bodies -- so if she became more aware of the fact that clients don't want to be vented at during their massage session and that clients may not want to talk during their massage session, she could definitely become a 5-star massage therapist. Disclaimer: All opinions are my own. As a Yelper, I believe in providing my honest descriptions of my experiences with a business in order to 1. Prevent other prospective clients on Yelp from encountering the same unpleasant experiences that I have, so that prospective clients can make informed decisions about where they choose to take their business and their dollars, and 2. Provide honest feedback to businesses in hopes that they learn from these experiences and step it up for future prospective clients.

I went in a little skeptical but decided to trust the yelp and google reviews. Tiya took one look at my back and asked me where on earth I was going for massages because my back was pretty messed up lol (thats a whole another story). If you are on the fence about coming here, do it! Tiya instinctively knows what she is doing and how to help you with a host of issues, not just your back. I'm so happy to have found her because she's the first person who's ever been able to pinpoint and loosen all my knots.

For this area, it's hard to find a legit place because of all of the "spas" in the area (if you get my jist). Tiya knows what she's doing. She's very in tune w the human body and works tirelessly to work out the kinks, or as she calls them "trigger points". I will caution that she is not for the faint of heart. She has a strong touch and will get into those knots. If you're looking for someone to lightly massage your body, keep looking.
