We've been to Amy's before & they went down hill from before. They used to give decent portions & that's without the price increases. Now with the increases the portion gotten smaller. The worst of it all the Hot & Sour soup. Which lack all components! There's no mushrooms, no meat, no bamboo & no tofu. It tastes so sweet that we ended up throwing it away. Amy's is your typical hole in the wall with fire Chinese food. Nothing fancy but expect good food, good prices, and good service! In the 10+ years we have been coming here, never had an issue. Their menu is pretty consistent but they introduce new dishes and foods every couple of months which is great. I always get their peking spare ribs and cream cheese wontons. read more

Pros: cheap, quick Cons: everything else. This was almost unrecognizable "Chinese" food. We identified the fried rice and chow mein but they had almost no flavor. The pork tasted off, like it was spoiled. (We got BBQ pork which came in a sauce--not supposed to--and sweet and sour pork that managed to look grey and slimy.) I was supposed to get teriyaki chicken which looked like a stew and was chewy. The orange chicken was spicy and gummy. The broccoli beef was mostly broccoli but the beef was okay. The egg rolls were weird--dipped in a thick batter and fried. It seemed as if all of the food had been sitting for a long time. Sadly, it wasn't cheap because we ended up not eating it and throwing it away, which I hate to do. We were worried about eating it as it all tasted off, especially the pork. This could have easily have been a 5 star review, lets start with what is right. Portions are great no skimping here. For the most part they are very friendly and fast. The place is clean as is the kitchen. Amy has worked hard to make this work. Her dad used to cook, he was a better cook than the ones that they have had of late. So what is not good. The cook is lazy. The object of chop-sticks is to have the food bite sized to fit into your mouth. He dose not understand this, Big Chunks of Chicken, BBQ Pork that are sometime 3 bites and I have a big bite. The Broccoli Beef Broccoli Is huge. The beef in it is tuff and requires cutting as it size in wrong for the dish. Tastes great. The fried Shrimp is often over cooked on the outside and raw doughy inside. It is on to thick to cook as fast as they do it. Lower temp and longer cook would fix it. or less batter. A few minutes of prep would fix this and make it a 5 star. Picky is picky... I always stop at Amy's when I'm in town , today was a big disappointment, first of all I was by myself, and always enjoyed the deep fried prawns, 13.00 for sixteen prawns, I asked for just a half order and was told 11.00 for it? That did not make sense, so I opted for the full order, when I asked if napkins were in the bag , I was told yes, when i got home , about 18 miles away, opened the box , and the prawns were way overcooked, and the fry oil they use had not been changed in days! I went in ordered 3 plates paid $27 asked for 5 hot sauces was told they could only give . When I asked to get a refund because I did not want to not enjoy mu food do to a teaspoon of hot sauce I was given a attitude. I don't know if Amy's has been sold to someone else but over the past year, they have not been good at all! I had stopped going there because my granddaughter got sick from their food. I waited 6 months before going back and again. The noodles were old and hard, the fried wontons were fried in old grease with very little filing, the orange chicken was mostly fried dough and a speck of chicken, the fried rice was old and tasteless.
