Made mistake and believed yelp reviews of this place after receiving horrible food twice ordered from Chef Bo on Fair Oaks Blvd. (Yes i gave them 2 chances) Ordered sweet and sour pork, Wantons, and deep fried srimp. The whole meal was not good at all. Srimp was dry and had no taste, noodles were rubbery, pork was way over cooked and the wantons were chewy like they had been micorwaved. We ordered 2 plates one with orange chicken & pork fried rice then the other general chicken & pork fried rice. Highly recommend to check them out pricing was amazing ($10.30 per plate) and portions were good enough to feed 2-3 per plate (they fill each container as full as it can go, nothing is being shorted out on). The inside and outside of this restaurant is ultra dated. Seeing the outside will scare anyone pulling up. The No. 1 China Express is practically next door with a clean exterior and a new modern sign. I've ordered from China Express before, so I was determined to give Wong's a try. I ordered through a link on Yelp's website thinking it was directly associated with the business and the lady owner told me to call them directly to save a few dollars. The third party website charges about 5% for ordering through them. It took me around 25 minutes to arrive and they had my order ready. I ordered chicken green beans, house eggplant, sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, broccoli beef. The prices are really reasonable and they fill the trays. Average entree was 13.00 when I'm used to seeing 16-17 dollars in other places. I'm not going to tell you everything was tasty because most dishes weren't seasoned better even though there were plenty of sauce in each dish. The batter on the sweet and sour pork, orange chicken was falling off and mushy by the time I got home. To be fair, Cantonese food tends to to be less salty, so having your own oyster or fish sauce will help save these dishes. If you like quantity over quality, this place is for you. This was probably the worse Chinese food I've ever had. It was so bad, I tossed it out. Order pork fried rice. Absolutely no flavor at all. Chicken sweet and sour. It was actually pork and the first piece seemed promising, but the next two pieces were gristle. They need to be more careful about the protein ordered. Pork is not chicken and the gristle shows they don't trim their meat properly. The egg foo young was just gross. First it was burnt. The Pattie's weren't flat, but round ball like. I'm use to bean sprouts in it and if there was been sprouts in it, I could find it. Again they were burnt and hard. The gravy, although good, couldn't cover up the burnt and dry taste. So we decided to give Wong's a go.... We were seated right away and given menus. We ordered egg drop soup, potstickers, sweet and sour pork w/chow mein and broccoli chicken w/steamed rice. Everything was good. It was a bit on the pricey side when you consider the location of the restaurant and the ambiance. The menu said you get a choice of rice or noodles with the special, it doesn't say you pay extra for noodles; but you do! You also pay for hot tea. I didn't quibble, but the menu is misleading at best. I suspect we'll ge back, mainly because it's not too far out of the way when we want Chinese food. But, there are a couple of other restaurants whose food is just as good, if not better, that come in at the same price, or a little less.... This could weigh into the decision making. read more

Don't let the 1980's look of the outside fool you into driving past - the food is well worth coming for a visit. While the restaurant decor was a little dated, it was clean and bright with comfortable booth and table seating. Did a takeout and it was ready after 10 minutes of placing my order. The takeout box for the chow mien was full but the beef was full of onions, etc and not so much meat (beef). Every chance I get I go here! The food is very cheap especially for the amount they give you, and the food is always done in 10-15 minutes, unless you had a super large order but even there it's completed very fast! I always get the lunch or dinner combinations , it's seriously the best bang for your buck. Those portions EASILY feed 2-3 people! Honestly all of their food is just amazing!
