First I scheduled a trial and my stylist cancelled twice over the span of about a month. At this point it was only two weeks before my wedding and they couldn't fit me in with another "senior stylist" so I went with another random stylist and understood appointment would be free of charge for the inconvenience. However once the trial was done (it took almost 3 hours and still wasn't quite right) I still had to pay 95+ tip as apparently only the hair cut was free (25) and I still was expected to pay for the styling. Then we get to my wedding day and I am supposed to have a senior stylist but was cancelled on a THIRD time the day of my wedding and was only told once I arrived at the salon. The same girl who did my trial did my wedding hair and I didn't complain much because who wants to complain on their wedding day? My bridal party also got their hair done and it was all beautiful but mine took an extra hour compared to my bridal party even though I requested a very very simple style , just curls and a little bit pinned back, and it came out very poorly despite me trying to steer the stylist in the right direction. I had to redo my hair completely afterwards even though I paid over 100 for my hair. I curled it myself and had a wedding guest who happened to do hair help me style it. Took less then 20 minutes and was perfect when we did it ourselves. After the wedding I looked back at the photos they took at the salon and I can't believe they let me walk out like it was! Totally falling out, messy, asymmetrical and bobby-pins showing (Photos from the salon and by the time I got home) About 3 weeks after my wedding when all the celebrations were done we called this salon back to explain what happened and ask for a partial refund or at least something. My mother who called was accused of "extortion" by the owner when she said she was calling before I posted this review... which is an honest review and we wanted to give them a chance to right it before complaining online. Then we were told we should have planned my wedding further out which has nothing to do with them messing up my hair so much. In the end they said they would call us back and it's been 4 days now. Overall really disappointing, This was the most stressful part of my whole wedding. They should have done more to compensate me or at least done my hair well... this was my WEDDING hair for crying out loud.

They have no idea how to cut or style wavy hair. They damaged my daughter's hair by cutting it underneath to remove volume. What is achieved with this is shearing it. They did not know how to dry it, her hair was completely frizzy, there was no wave in her hair. It was horrible and sad what they did to her. Although, the owner was not in the salon and did not see my daughter's hair, she told me that she would not charge me, but not because of them having done a terrible job but because the work did not meet my expectations and she added that she did not want us to go back there never ever again. I walked in about four months ago because I was not especially happy with the salon I had been going to in Fairport for the past year. Joyce was lovely, warm, welcoming, and she "got" my hair which is thin and fine and fragile. I looked and felt like movie star Sharon Stone when I left. It was a beautiful blond color that brought out my natural highlights; I wanted a "just got out of bed" tousled, natural look and she gave it to me. My friend and I made appointments for a couples renewal massage after we both had received gift cards. While the robes and somd of the amenities are nice, the massage was really what I was there to enjoy. I was trying my best to not get upset (45, single mom of twin 2 year olds- I needed this break and massage) it just didn't hit the mark. I told the therapist I'd like it firmer and harder and not light touches and I think she must have thought I said the opposite- soft tickling type of massage and she didn't seem to want that style to change. Maybe she's knew but I have never gone up and down (being raised by her foot control) so many times in my life. Maybe she has back problems? My friend asked me afterwards why she was so loud (like I knew why? lol). Several times washing her hands and then threw the robe on my legs after the massage. Miss the exfoliating scrub at the end! Those were wonderful. While the after treatment room is nice, I'm sad to say, this just was such a disappointment. Hoping to have enough funds to give it another try at some point.
