I just got a dip manicure from Elite Spa. The file electric nail file, and sculpting tools were dirty. There was fingernail dust and old nail polish on them from previous people. After they finished using it the tools on me they just put it back in the drawer without washing them. The prices are cheap, but I think they are violating health codes. The nail tech filed my nails so hard my skin below my cuticle started bleeding. Ouch! The prices are cheap but it's no worth it. read more

I discovered this place because it just so happened to be next to my gym and I needed a nail salon ASAP. I was welcomed right in and asked to pick a color and waited only about 2 minutes on a busy day. I asked them for a simple design they did very well on. They offer acrylic nails (hard to find these days) and do an amazing job as my nails I've gotten done there twice now have lasted longer than 3 weeks. What I really like about them though is they are very American/English friendly - super knowledgeable - and quick. Lastly, I've also gotten a pedicure they did a great job on too. read more

Service: manicure My friends and I booked reservations at Elite Nail Spa for manicures before prom. My friend showed the Pinterest photo, and ended up receiving the nails in blue in the other picture. My nails, which are in white, were very poorly done. I ended up going home and painting over them. We had to pay before they painted our nails. One of my friends, who had a reservation, had just been sat down 30 minutes after her reservation time just to have been kicked out for an adult woman who walked in without a reservation. When I called beforehand, I was told that they could do details on my nails, but when I was sat down, I was told they couldn't. They did not have anything close to the color I wanted, and I couldn't even end up getting the second color I chose because the lady couldn't open the bottle. So disappointed. I spent 3.5 hours getting a dip manicure. They had told me previously that they could do something that they clearly could not. I asked for a simple white thin tipped design and it took them re-doing my nails twice for it to even be presentable. My skin around my nails was cut up and raw from so much use of the file. Finally after completely re doing my nails twice they were some what okay- but honestly i could have painted them better. 3 days later and the gel is all chipped off. read more

Service done: eyebrow waxing Pros: I was able to walk in on a weekday at 5 with no wait, the woman I had took her time and was attentive to detail, and I always like when they apply aloe or something cool to the brows after the wax for the pain. Cons: the woman who serviced me, I believe her name was Linda, tried to sell me on several different services in the midst of waxing my brows (ex. Comments like, "you should get your lip too, there's a lot of hair" 1. Rude 2. I have the blondest of peach fuzz there and have never felt the need nor been suggested to wax it). The facility didn't look very up to date and was pretty tacky. And they don't like to accept cards! Debit or credit. They didn't mention it beforehand, and you can't tip with a card which makes you feel pretty bad. Cost for an eyebrow wax $10 was pretty standard/comparable to other places I've been. read more

I called to make an appointment for 3 pedicures at 1:30 on a Saturday. They were able to accept the reservation with no problem! Color selection is alright but could be better. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We didn't feel rushed at all. The interior is also very clean!! Price was decent, they prefer cash over cards. read more

True Rating: 3.7 I've been here on occasion. Usually another one of my "go-to" spot if I can't make it all the way out to Greece, NY to Art Nails. And located conveniently next to my gym. Why wouldn't a stop in for a peaceful pedicure post leg workout. My feet were in much need of a pedicure. Yeah. It's gross but I was slacking. I stopped on in the other day to get a pedicure and was seated immediately. However, I was taken care of after those who came in before me. Not sure what the circumstance was but definitely confusing. The water was lukewarm and not as hot as I would have liked it - seemed like the water was just sitting there. The individual gave me my pedicure was gentle. The massage was on point with the warm rock. I was on cloud 9. And he did an excellent job at painting my toes. However, he could have done a better job at cleaning up cuticles, so I wasn't too impressed. Overall, it's a pretty decent place with lots of friendly staff! read more

This is my new go to nail salon. They have 10 pedicure chairs and 10 manicure stations. Any time I am a 'walk-in' I have never waited more than 10 minutes to get started even with two other friends and they always sit us near each other. Their basic pedicure is a step up from most places including a massage with warm stones. Additionally the staff is always very friendly which is always a plus. On one specific occasion after my pedicure was finished with, although there were open manicure chairs the lady kept me in the massage chair to do my manicure! read more

I usually love elite. Today, however did not impress me & actually made me seriously consider if I'll ever be coming back. I called this morning to make an afternoon appointment- I always call ahead. My appt was for 3p. I came in at 2:57. Signed in, looked for my colors, and waited. Two people came in after me. After 10 minutes, they directed me to the pedicure chairs where they left me waiting for 45 additional minutes while the people who came in AFTER me, got their manicures done. By the time someone started my toes, it was 3:51p... I would have left had I really needed this done. They lost my business today. read more

Been going to Elite Nail Spa for a few years and have never had an issue however, my most recent visit wasn't great. I typically like how the workers take their time to be precise with their technique and offer a student discount. They were busier that usual so I had to wait about 30 minutes. It was my first time having the lady that did my nails. She spoke very little English and had a really hard time understanding what I was saying. I tried explaining to her the color I was looking for and I even showed her a picture. She wasn't very helpful. I ended up giving up and picking the one I thought would be closest to the color I was looking for. After finding the a color she started to file my nails. I recently broke a nail that week and she told me she'd even them out. It ended up taking her a little while to file because she filed them super short. It was slightly my fault for not speaking up to tell her it was a little unnecessary. Service: Dip, $50 including tip When I've gotten dip in the past they usually would dip my nails into a clear powder. But the lady doing my nails went straight for the color powder. When I asked about the clear she told me that the clear helps your nails grow faster and if I wanted it I should of asked... how was I supposed to know I had to request her for it? I thought it was apart of the routine when you get dip. In the past the workers would typically ask if I liked the color before starting the next coat but she didn't. She didn't really talked to me much while she was doing my nails. I started to get concerned because the color didn't turn out how I excepted, the color was very transparent. She didn't understand what I was saying and just told me they'd look better at the end. Before finishing up she told me my nails were short and it's harder to work with short nails, and that I should try to let them grow out more... that was very rude to say and it's not my fault my nails tend to break easily. I was very fed up with the experience so I decided to leave and come back the following day because I was unhappy with the color. A worker told me there wasn't much they could do unless they took the color off and restarted. Which was what I wanted them to do however they wanted to charge me so I left. I was visiting from out of town and a friend of my mother's recommended Elite. I am so glad they did! We booked appointments and were very well taken care of by Tina and Quan. They were both meticulous. My nails have never looked this good and it has been over two weeks since my vist. Although Elite is a busy place Tina and Quan took their time and made it a relaxing experience for us. They are true experts and it shows in their work. read more

Only negative was that I showed the nail tech a design that I wanted and she didn't do it exactly the same as the picture but it still came out great. My grandmother and I tried this place out on a whim while we were already across the street shopping in Pittsford Plaza. We were greeted and immediately sat for 2 pedicures. Overall the polish application and our feet looked great, so everything worked out but my complaint is with the service or lack there of. My grandmas nail technician was great! Appropriately chatty, professional and very thorough. Mine on the other hand was a different story. She rushed through the entire pedicure and I was easily done 10 minutes before my grandma when we started at the same time. My nail tech also skipped steps such as inserting toe separators, gave me no foam flip flops to dry in AND did not apply a top coat. She then quite literally disappeared and I saw her starting a manicure with a client she obviously knew well. She never returned. Fortunately, my grandmas nail tech finished my pedicure for me and took us up to the front to pay and bid us farewell. The ambiance of the salon is also lacking and is very cheaply done, only one tiny tv, clutter everywhere and very disorganized. Sadly I'd have to say I will not be returning. read more

I'm not normally one to write bad reviews or even complain about anything at any establishment but I feel especially compelled to this time. I called to make an appointment at this salon, they said they could take me, and so I showed up at my scheduled time. Not only didn't they actually NOT have enough workers to satisfy appointments, but they prioritized walk-ins over me. I ended up waiting 30 minutes to even sit down in a massage chair. The nail tech turns on the water and it is scalding hot. I asked very quickly if someone could either change the temperature or allow me to control it and I was told that I had to wait for my nail tech to return from the back, which took about 10 minutes. I got over the wait and the near boiling water and tried to enjoy the rest of my appointment. My nail tech finally returned and started my pedicure. He cut my nail in a way that it actually caused me to form an ingrown toenail overnight, which I still have now two weeks later. He caused both my feet to bleed at points by either digging too far under my toe nails or shaving too much skin off the sole/heel of my foot. And after all this, he proceeded to paint my nails in a very quick and sloppy manner which left nail polish basically all over my toes. Again, I am never one to write bad reviews but because I am still limping with a now infected ingrown toenail, I feel obligated to. Don't waste your time and don't waste your money. It would have been considered expensive to me even if the treatment was mediocre. read more
