Assortment of vegan items from lunch buffet
    Matt B.

Extremely high-quality lunch buffet ($22 after tax) with plenty of vegetarian and even vegan options. They have a very large selection of items (probably 16 hot items), plus another 8 on the salad bar. For a buffet, the quality was great. The highlight dish for us was the eggplant dish, but the chana masala, saag aloo (spinach potato), and cabbage dish were all excellent. Friendly, helpful service. Very much recommended if out in this part of Langley. We shall return.

The most modern up scale bar I've seen in sometime.

When I was in the area on business I had a craving for Indian cuisine and found " An Indian Affair" via Yelp. It's not like any Indian restaurant I've ever visited in terms of their presentation...no cultural touch stones or icons in fact if I came here blindfolded I wouldn't think I was at an Indian Restaurant. It has a modern almost night club vibe...indeed the background/mood music was a mix of lively Hindi language music and other selections. And yet, it's gas all the awesome flavors and dishes that one would expect from a traditional Indian restaurant. I ordered: Chicken samosa: All the Indian restaurants I've had samosas (in the United Stated) use ground chicken as opposed to what was used here which was shredded chicken. For me, the difference in the use of finely shredded chicken vs ground is a world of difference not just in texture but especially flavor! Coupled with a crunchy shell...could have ordered many more and would have been satisfied. Mango Lassi: sweet and rich mango flavored. Fenugreek lamb curry: Fenugreek isn't a spice I see at Indian restaurants in the US very often. So I had to give this a try! Lots of umami flavor to this dish with very little bitterness which is what I expected with anything having fenugreek. It's wasn't sweet but not bitter either. Also, the lamb was tender. Garlic Basil Naan: as good as I've had at other restaurants Kulfi Falooda; The first time I've ever had this or given the opportunity to have this dessert. Ice cream with glass noodles is the short description...the ice cream was great the noodle part I could do without because ultimately the texture was very soggy. While "An Indian affair" is stripped of outward tradition, it's only an outward appearance! The food is great and what I understand as well made Indian cuisine. Lastly the service was fair, not fast or slow but noticeable. There was one person who serviced like 6 tables, is that a lot? I think so. Still when I'm in the area, I'll be back nor would I hesitate to recommend them.

I love the ambiance here. The music is great, the staff is friendly and the food is delicious. It was my second time here and I expected nothing less than great.

Great happy hour appetizers and drinks, service was very good and a nice place to go for a date or with the family. We tried veggie pakora, paneer pakora, fried momos, fries w indian spice, and a couple cocktails - each was $5 Canadian which is $3.50 USD. Each appetizer was tasty, my favorite was veggie pakora and the fries were also surprisingly good. We also shared butter chicken entree which had a nice savory flavor, not as buttery or sweet as I've had in US. Garlic naan was quite garlicky and crispy, very good.

Budget-Friendly Indian Buffet with Room for Improvement These days, an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) self-serve buffet for $13.99 (Monday to Thursday) is a bargain, which is why we decided to try this Indian buffet. The restaurant is located across from Willowbrook Shopping Mall, with ample parking available. Upon arrival, the entrance door felt a bit small, but the interior was spacious. We were seated just a few steps from the buffet, making access convenient. The server promptly brought a jug of water, and we were ready to start. Food Selection & Quality The buffet offered a good variety of hot and cold dishes. Starting at the salad section (where orange bites were also available), we made our way to the hot dishes, which included: Butter Chicken (a must-have) Curry Lamb Chicken dishes Pakora Dahl Rice Tandoori Chicken et cetera The food was consistently replenished, and the serving areas were kept relatively clean. A nice touch was the frequent offering of fresh naan, without us needing to ask. However, there were no ice cream or mango lassi options, which some other Indian buffets typically provide. On both visits, we also noticed no jalebi or Manchurian, despite hoping for some variety. Instead, the only dessert was a large pot of Gulab Jamun, which was overly sweet--not ideal for those watching their sugar intake. Service & Atmosphere While the food was solid, the service left much to be desired. One major disappointment was the chai policy--it was complimentary, but only for one cup. When we requested a refill, the waitress gave us a dirty look and curt response, making for an unpleasant experience. Additionally, napkin supply was stingy--only one was wrapped with the utensils, and even after requesting extra, they were never provided. Final Thoughts This special price was only valid in March, from Monday to Thursday, and despite the mediocre service, we visited twice due to the affordability and food quality. However, given the long drive from downtown Vancouver to Langley and the lackluster service, we won't be returning. While the buffet itself is a good deal, the overall experience fell short of expectations. Rating: 3/5 (Great food for the price, but poor service and limited dessert options.)

Lunch Indian Buffet is served (11:00 - 14:30 seven days a week) has been going strong for 11 years now since it's opening and is conveniently located in a strip mall right across from Willowbrook Mall. Heard great things about the place and decided to make the long trek into Langley, BC with 4 friends to try for ourselves. The place is nicely decorated with a modern look and still under renovations at the time of our visit to expand either the buffet and / or seating area. I really hope their expansion plans are mainly for the buffet area as it's quite small so lineups can form in a very short time, as throughout our entire seating time customers were leaving and coming at a constant rate. Even with a small self serve area, the offerings covered all you would expect from a South Asian buffet with as assortment of desserts like Kheer (Traditional Rice Pudding), Tandoori Chicken, and curries (Butter Chicken). One complimentary cup of Chai Tea is included in your meal. Everything tasted OK, nothing really outstanding, but for $17.99 per head can't really complain. Parking is plentiful within the private strip mall lot.

Tasty Indian buffet (lunch only) by Willowbrook Mall. Parking is available in the strip mall lot. Place is pretty modern. Looks like they are expanding as of the time of writing. The buffet food section is tucked away in a corner, with some new construction. Food is pretty typical of Indian buffet. There are some 8 salad items and 16 hot food items. Quite a decent selection I must say. There are several types of curry, the usual tandoori chicken, and some paneer and jafrezi, among others. Food quality is pretty good, though like most other Indian buffets, everything starts to taste the same after the 2nd plate. The buffet includes only 1 cup of chai tea, with no refills. This is the only negative that comes to mind. Also the tiny buffet area gets pretty packed, but I imagine this will be rectified with the new construction. Worth stopping by if one is in the area.

This place has very affordable food. $17.99 lunch buffet? Even on a Sunday, that's incredible. The prices for the entrees on the menu are generally under $20, which are also very good prices. The place looks clean and nice. Very spacious but lots of booths which are not really the best for buffet. Maybe that's intentional so that people don't get up so often to get refills. The food section is decent, with 4-6 dishes for the proteins, vegs and appetizers. Only 2 options for desserts (gulab jamun and rice pudding). They do top up the trays of food quickly. The food definitely tastes better when you get it fresh and hot. Once it becomes cool or cold (because you are talking with your friend), it is not so nice. Eat first, chat later. Chai is included but only one small cup which is a pity. I wish it is refillable. The food itself is ok, not the best but it does the job of filling you up. I don't have any favorite dish there or something which makes me want to go back often. Parking is available at the lot out front. Lots of big trucks which take up two spots. Park carefully to avoid your car being dinged. If you live in this area, great place to dine at. I'll still come here once in a while.

There's a reason this place is listed as a top eatery of Langley - it's WONDERFUL We got in to town and luckily came in before 5pm to catch the tail end of happy hour - 1/2 off drinks and appetizers. It was such a great deal we definitely over ordered but the food was SO good that I regret nothing!!! We followed the recommendation for goat curry and it was on point. Each of the samosas were scrumptious. The ambiance is hip and all the staff we encountered were absolutely lovely. Do yourself a favor and make the stop!!!

My husband and I visited this restaurant for dinner in the month of November. I saw their Instagram ad once and thought to give it a try. But, to my disappointment, our experience wasn't that good with this restaurant. The place was almost fully booked, and it was very loud. There was loud music and the seating arrangement was done in a way that we could hear noises from other tables as well. Personally, I don't like restaurants that are so loud. I mean, you cannot enjoy your company or the food if you get so much disturbance around. Their service was very slow, we didn't even get our appetizers together. We waited for like 20-25 mins to get our apps and drinks all on our table. To be honest, even the food wasn't that good in taste. For our main course, we ordered two curries and one daal makhani along with butter naans. First we received lacchha paratha instead of naan. And we never got one of the curries we ordered. The servers were in so much rush, none of them cared to ask if we have received our order ok. After so many failed attempts to catch a gaze with our server, finally I told her that we never got Malai Kofta we ordered and we have got wrong order of naans as well. After waiting for another 10-15 mins, I received the food we actually ordered. After we finished our dinner, we had to again wait for 10-15 mins to receive our to-go boxes and the bill. It was quite frustrating & disappointing!!!

Definitely try their happy while its still on. 50% of ALL drinks (including non alcoholic) and appetizers. That's a really good selection and a steal of a deal. Apart from that we really liked the ambience at An Indian Affair and would definitely come back for dinner. Both our servers were super friendly and attentive. All the drinks were good, jalepeno maragarita, LIIT. The skyball looked gorgeous in blue. For food my favorite was the vegetarian manchurian. Hubby loved the palak chaat and chili momo's. Achari soya chaap was good too. Happy hour is from 3-5pm daily, yes its on weekends too!

Tasting various food here. All of them were good

We thought it would primarily be brunch/breakfast items but there was such a large selection and variety of items. The staff were very nice and accommodating. They also had live music which was a nice mood setter. You get juice, pop, coffee or tea included with your meal. Alcoholic drinks are extra charge. We had gone on a regular Sunday and not an "event" Sunday so am not sure of other offerings. There was sushi, inari sushi, dumplings, sticky rice (but not sure if the dimsum was leftover from lunar new year special), roast beef, ham, mussels, shrimp cocktail, fried rice, short rib, roasted vegetables (REAL veg not just bagged corn and peas like other places lol), sablefish, grilled chicken, eggs benny station, omelette station, charcuterie, scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, mini avo toasts and dessert bar. The only real downside is the overall price. I think just given the location I wish it were slightly cheaper. Adults are $45 and seniors are $37. There aren't a lot of good quality buffets around so I do understand it sets them apart it just may attract more guests at a bit of a cheaper price. Or maybe it they had something in conjunction with the casino to offer a discount that would be another incentive to get people across the bridge. I would be more so inclined to bring them back at a different rate as we are coming from Burnaby and Vancouver.

I loved the crispy exterior with the sea salt on top, and the inside was so pillowy and buttery - then topped with the blue cheese butter... yum! So good. For my entree, I ordered the truffle tenderloin steak and my dining partner had the ahi tuna. We also added the Brussels sprouts and Brie mashed potatoes to share. A really cool feature is they bring over a selection of steak knives that you can choose from. I really love this concept and whoever thought that up is a genius. I chose a gorgeous, elegant-looking knife with a handle that looked like mother of pearl. The steak was easily one of the best steaks I've ever had. They shave black truffle directly on the steak when it's served, which adds such a nice richness. The sauce is also one of the better sauces I've had on a steak. It was so tempting to want to lick the plate! It was a cooked to a perfect medium rare and so tender. It's been a long time since I was really blown away by a great steak, but this just hit the mark in every way. The Brussels sprouts were great, but there was something in the dish that was a bit odd - almost like wasabi or something. It wasn't bad, it just had a kick that I wasn't expecting and made me cough a little bit. The potatoes were creamy and buttery but I did think the Brie flavour wasn't coming through enough. Maybe because all the other flavours on my plate were pretty strong. I didn't try the tuna but it looked beautiful and apparently tasted just as good. We finished off with a couple of desserts: the beehive pavlova and the crème brûlée, the latter being my typical go-to dessert. Unfortunately, I didn't really care for the salted caramel flavour here, but can't really put my finger on what exactly I didn't enjoy as I normally love salted caramel. One bite was enough for me. It looked amazing, though. I did enjoy the pavlova, but it wasn't a traditional style as it had ice cream inside instead of whipped cream. It was more like a baked Alaska without the flame. The flavours were good on this dessert, but I probably wouldn't order it again as I was really craving the more traditional pavlova. Service was good, but we did wait quite a long time after being seated before placing our order, and then waited again after dessert before getting our bill. We weren't in a hurry, but I think we were there for over 3 hours. Still a very enjoyable meal and I would definitely return for the steak alone.

Good variety and the quality is impressive. I have not checked out the lunch buffet but these pictures i am sharing was part of the dinner buffet. Forgive me for not knowing what majority of these dishes were even called. I assure you it's vegan friendly but if you're a protein lower there's just as much meat choices too! But yes my fave dishes that i was able to make room for me in my belly was the goat curry/ butter chicken/ chili fish/ chickpea curry ... mango flavoured icecream / naan bread. I also snacked on a lot of these colourful looking chips? Haha they reminded me of the asian prawn chips that come on the side of peking duck! If you check this place out please try! I even dipped it in icecream and ooo it was yummy! The service was quite pleasant too. They did an excellent job at replenishing food and checking in with customers to see if we needed more water / naan / napkins etc! Loveeeeeed this! Family friendly place/ ambiance was relaxing for a meal date or even if you wanted to watch sports. They've got massive tvs so if you want to grab drinks it's a perfect place too. Lots of parking outside and they take all types of payments. Hope you enjoy your next food adventure!!

Barf. Came for Dine Out Vancouver. The crab was the strongest fishy smell I've ever experienced…read more Pungent. I like crab legs...these were brutal. Waitress was awful. Didn't catch her name but she was very BLAH...did not come around often and then accidentally gave our table an extra dessert (There were 4 of us and apparently 5 cake slices arrived), she brought the bill and mentioned the "extra cake" in a weird, bitchy, condescending and accusatory way... why are you accusing us when you brought an extra slice?? We didn't even eat it. 2 slices were left actually since we were full. We will never return to this place.

second time here at this location as a visitor from Toronto…read more I was able to make same day reservations on open table and luckily get in for a Friday evening! This time we were seated in a cozy corner of the restaurant and was nice to be able to have a conversation. We started off with the crab cakes as an app and then i got the ravioli with scallops and my friend got the steak meal. I really liked my pasta minus the the scallops that were cold. I really appreciated how attentive the server was and offered to get fresh new ones - given how hungry I was I didn't fuss over it (because i didn't want to wait) but she ended up having it taken off the bill which was much appreciated. I learnt something new about the wine - it's made to be shook before being drank and it completely changes the flavour of the wine (in a good way) As last time - great experience and service! Really hoping for a location to come to Toronto.
