Old Lahaina House, oasis in the back.

Cutest place, sweetest people. Felt at home. Recommend to all. Great oasis in the back with a minute walk to the beach and downtown area.

Lounge chair. The pool to our own!!

So lucky to have found this gem!! Everything you could want for a beautiful Maui Vacation!! The pool is amazing. We had it pretty much to ourselves. The room was really nice and has all the same accommodations that that you can get in a hotel. It's super quite and peaceful. The staff are the best!! I can't wait to go back!

Staying in this house was the best decision we ever made! It is a lot different than staying in a hotel and added a lot more comfort. Sherry and Randy were amazing!! Went absolutely above and beyond. They have two cats and some dogs that make the experience even better. Sherry was definitely our mom away from home. She was always available for anything we needed. Randy is the sweetest and is always up for conversation and even shared fresh pineapple with us. They have bikes, goggles, beach chairs, and anything else you can think of. We loved riding the bikes to town everyday. Will definitely stay here again!!!

Everything we wanted and more! Beautiful location close to the beach, close to downtown, etc.... The rooms were clean and the hosts were incredibly nice! Shari was more than accommodating and even gave us a miniature tour of lahaina on our first day. And, you can't beat the price! I will be returning. Mike -from Chicago!

A sweet little place . just a block from the beach. The pool was a great place to escape the heat and read in the shade.

Unfortunately upon checkin, my requested two queen bed accommodations were unable to be provided. At the recommendation of the front desk clerk Caroline and the MOD (Manager on Duty) Keith We decided to opt for the king bed and roll in "Heavenly" twin. Keith was very apologetic for the lack of requested accomodations but provided us with an upgraded ocean view room and The LĀNAI . This resort is 5 stars in all respects. The staff experience was exceptional. The food & beverage experience was outstanding. The resort is spotless clean and meticulously maintained. The pools and surrounding decks were large enough that we never felt crowded or had an issue finding chairs. The resort has a huge game area "Valley Alley" with a full bar and kitchen. Well appointed with the latest games including VR, air hickey and even bowling. The resort is conveniently located right next to Whalers Village. A short 3 minute walk. Our room was well appointed with all the ammenities that you would expect from the Westin brand. From thick bath towels and The Heavenly bedding to ice cold A/C. This resort has it all. Our experience was made even better by the exceptional and most sincere service provided by Miss. Giadee Kaiwi Hōkūpa'a Experience Coordinator. She made our visit that much better with her warm smile and pleasant attitude. A true ambassador to the Westin name.

Upon arrival the check in attendent was helpful and within minutes we had the keys to our room. While there are no elevators, it was a short walk through a courtyard to the second story via a stairwell. The room was modern, spacious, and had a nice balcony that overlooked the courtyard below. While breakfast is not included, there is a phenomenal restaurant on the first level that offers tantalizing local fare such as macadamia french toast and other excellent choices. I paid a around $1100 (after taxes) for five nights, which is reasonable when you consider the great location, comfort, and high standards of service. You have the option of renting the entire property or an individual unit. For about the price of a nicer hotel, you get the creature comforts of home, privacy and quite as well. My girlfriend (ex) and I went here and Jim and Kim Wicker, who run the place and live downstairs, were perfect hosts and even lent us a tour CD that guided us along the infamous Road To Hana. Sure there are hotels right on the beach, but you wont have to dodge screaming kids running through the halls dripping from the pool or ocean, or worry about noise from shared walls. Instead you get peace and comfort. You may also get surprise fresh made treats now and then, that Kim bakes up and leaves for you on the counter after cleanup. Wai Ola is plenty close to everything. You're about 1/2 mile from the ocean and all the Lahaina hot spots. If you plan on going to Lahaina, Maui Hawaii, Try this place and you'll be very pleased. You definitely need a car if you are going to stay there, it is close to everything but not really within walking distance of anything. The cost was great; it was about the price of a hotel, but you get a pool, use of laundry facilities, you can borrow the coolers and beach stuff they have, and you get fresh baked treats. The only caveat is they have an extensive list of rules, and the owners can come across a little snarky in the enforcement of them. Like the pool can only be used at this time and that time, or you can't put stuff on the chairs by the pool, or the laundry hours are from this time to that time. They do it to create a relaxing and enjoyable environment for all the guests, and it works, but I think if they were just a bit less rigid and militant, people would still mind the rules and they wouldn't seem so aggressive. Overall it's a great alternative to a hotel, and if you like to buy your own food and plan your day according to your needs, not those of a hotel, this is the place for you. Star Market supplied the lau lau and poke, we borrowed some movies from Kim and Jim, and stayed in one afternoon, a welcome break from the activity on our 10 day Hawaii honeymoon. It's a good place to stay. Check it out.

I was hoping to stay in the Napili Tower, mainly because I liked the pool area better--longer, more spread out, and largely oceanfront. That said, the Lahaina Tower ended up having its own perks. The biggest one is that it's right next to the self-parking structure that's used for the whole resort, which makes coming and going incredibly easy. If you're staying in the Napili tower, self-parking is all the way on the other side and I would recommend using valet instead to save you the walk. Our room was spacious and comfortable, technically "oceanfront," though it felt more like oceanview. Still, no complaints--the view was lovely, and the room itself had a convenient kitchenette with a fridge, sink, and all the basics (plates, utensils, etc.), which made snack time quick and easy. The Lahaina Tower also has its own smaller pool area, plus a few fun extras like ping pong and foosball. It's also right by Longhi's, if you're looking for an easy meal. If you want more action, the main pool area--with the large, winding pool and additional dining options--is just a short walk away. The weather during our stay wasn't the best--it was actually pretty chilly by Maui standards following the heels of two major storms--but we still had a great time. Between the comfortable room, convenient location, and easy access to everything on property, it made for a relaxed and low-effort getaway. While the resort may not be the newest, we really like the main pool area. I'll definitely opt for the Lahaina/Napili towers again next time. This is a great resort, especially for families looking for a laid-back Maui stay with nice views and plenty to do.

That said, some common items are definitely overpriced, and you can find better deals just a short walk or drive away. Still, the $50 all-you-can-drink option (coffee, tea, juice, and soda) was absolutely worth it -- super convenient and a great value for resort guests who want unlimited refills throughout the day good for the entire stay. Maui is the most expensive of the Hawaiian Islands and we wanted something somewhat affordable that was a step up from a youth hostel. We are too old to be sharing bathrooms! Here are the Pros and Cons to this hotel: PROS: 1. The hotel manager was very kind. We were checking in late, so he taped an envelope with my info on the office window. He also repaired our shower drain, which wasn't draining properly. 2. Our room had a full kitchen. 3. Great location, in walking distance to a few restaurants. 4. Laundry facilities available on site, for $1.00 to wash and $1.00 to dry. 5. Ocean views from second floor balcony. 6. Cozy sitting area near sea wall. 7. Free beach equipment (boogie boards, coolers, etc) to borrow, as well as beach towels. CONS: 1. No A/C in our room. I didn't think that would be a problem, since there were nice ocean breezes, but our room got very hot, even with a ceiling fan and a floor fan blowing. I had a hard time sleeping. 2. Very thin walls. We could hear our neighbor in his bathroom at 5 am. 3. Tiny bugs in the kitchen and bathroom. They were everywhere. 4. Tight parking spots. Luckily, we had rented a compact car. 5. No beach access. That being said, in Hawaii by law, there are no private beaches. Every hotel and resort must provide a specified number of beach access parking spots. We visited the beach at the Hyatt Regency Resort and parked there for free. 6. No TV in the room. This didn't really bother us, however, since we were too busy to watch TV most of the time, anyway. Overall, we had a good stay, but we will splurge for a hotel with A/C next time.
