This review is for their balloon bar and delivery service (they use DoorDash). I had the pleasure…read moreof speaking with Monica when I called a couple days in advance to confirm an online balloon order for delivery. She was super helpful and friendly. The overall experience was great! There were some reviews complaining that the balloons would deflate after just a few hours and I was a bit concerned, but the balloons held up pretty well and actually held up for a whole week. To be honest, we didn't need it to hold up that long, as long as it was inflated for the duration of the party, that's all that matters! In terms of the value, for what it's worth, with ordering ahead and being delivered straight to you, I thought it was a great deal! I received some quotes from balloon vendors for the exact same bundle and it was 4xs the price, so Michael's balloon bar worked out just fine for us. Just a couple things to keep in mind: we ordered 4 separate bundles and all 4 were completely tangled together when we received it. Luckily, our amazing friend was able to help quickly untangle them. Not sure how this could have been prevented, but just a heads up in case you need ample time to untangle before your event! Also, when ordering ahead, you have to pick a delivery time window instead of an exact time- this means the balloons can come earlier than expected or at the tail end of the time window. You can try to call and coordinate with the store, which is what I did, but still received it earlier than requested, which was OK. Earlier is better than late in my opinion. Hope this helps! If you need basic helium balloons for an event- I'd totally recommend giving their balloon bar a try. I'd personally place an order again in the future.

Never going back. I went there a year or two ago to have embroidery done on a parka. I was told…read morerudely that the parka had perfume on it and it needed to be washed. I told her my daughter doesn't where perfume. She insisted I had to wash it. I stay calm, but I was mad and offended. I washed it and brought it back, only because this was the only place with a team patch. I was given the choice of front and back embroidery. My daughter chose the front and the lady stated if she wants the back done then bring it back. Well today I brought it back to have the back embroidered. The same lady stated she couldn't do it, because the parka was used. I told her I was told they would do the job. She asked who and I said someone knowing full well it was this rude lady who told me a year ago. She then goes on and tells me she can't do it, because it could ruin her machine and if I have a disease it can be transferred. I couldn't believe what she said and was appalled. She just insulted me and my family. Then she starts saying its against the law. I just ignored her comments and asked if I could by the patch. She said no. I could tell she didn't want to sell it to me. If its true and you can't sow it on once the jacket is used then tell people upfront that they can't bring it back. Teams and parents stay away. You might have a disease also. The only disease is this business. Disgusting. Oh and come to think of it, my daughter has a letterman jacket. Once she wears it, it is also used but they still embroider through the years. Saying that then you must be lying to me about not being able to sow on a patch. After telling my family about the disease comment they also will be telling friends not to come to this place. You basically said I was a dirty filthy animal. Thanks for nothing.

I had an uncomfortable checkout experience at Five Below today…read more During checkout, the cashier selected a few options on the screen and then asked me to press "yes" or "no." The prompt wasn't clearly explained, and since I was in a rush I wasn't thinking too much about it and just answered honestly. I selected "no," and the cashier immediately gasped. I later realized the question was asking whether I had been greeted when entering the store. When I came in, no one greeted me. The cashier had simply said "next" when it was my turn at the register. It's possible she had just started her shift and the employee who had been near the door earlier had already left, so the greeting may not have been her responsibility. However, when I tried to clarify the misunderstanding, the cashier cut me off and loudly said, "THANK YOU, HAVE A NICE DAY," without looking at me. When I attempted to speak again, the same phrase was repeated even louder, which effectively ended the interaction. At first I actually felt bad about the situation, but after being cut off twice when I tried to speak and hearing the same phrase repeated at me in a rude way, that feeling quickly went away. I also think the store should reconsider how this survey question is set up. Asking customers to answer a question about their experience while the employee can see the response creates an awkward situation. I answered honestly, but because the cashier could see my answer, the interaction immediately became uncomfortable and left me leaving the store feeling unhappy. I understand these prompts are likely tied to store metrics, but the checkout question was confusing, and the response from the cashier made the experience worse.
