This is a health center that deals with a LOT of patients. They're busy. I'm okay with that. Considering the work load they're under, they are as courteous as can be expected. One reviewer lamented being referred to a specialist because their child needed some extra care. They need to understand that extra care is what specialists...er...specialize in. The care providers here want to get you stabilized, addressed or treated, and out the door. Let's cut them some slack and focus on the stated goal. Save picking a prize out of the treasure box for the smaller, family practices.

I had a LOVELY primary until last summer when she left PHC, I was then matched with a new primary; Von Ferguson. Well, Von is apparently and I quote from someone I spoke on the phone with yesterday "too busy" to refill my high priority prescription. And was told to call back when she got back into office that afternoon, so I did and she still didn't fill it. Today was my FOURTH time calling (not to mention the messages I sent through myChart) over the span of multiple days and finally had someone reach out to her medical assistant. The three previous people didn't even mention contacting her medical assistant. However I was still told I'd have to wait for her to come in... I have a lot of patience and sympathy for our healthcare workers, but this is unacceptable. They should consider themselves lucky that the medication I ran out of and have now been withdrawing from doesn't have more serious withdrawal side effects like some of my other medications do. I literally asked one of the women I spoke with on the phone yesterday what I'd be expected to do if this had been my SSRI or what would happen if I was an individual who was diabetic and needed insulin and she said she'd "send another message marked as high priority". That's the solution they gave me! I guess they don't realize the risks in abruptly stopping a medication, which is even more concerning! I haven't even had the "pleasure" of having a face to face interaction with this Doctor (although it sounds like she's probably too busy) and I will NEVER deal with her again. I will be asking to be re-assigned to a different primary care physician. I love petaluma heath center and would recommend it, but I would NOT recommend seeing Von Ferguson based off this single situation.

All levels of class are available, but I currently attend Chair Yoga and Restorative Yoga, and it has been such a positive and transformative experience. I feel for the first time that I really have a yoga practice which enriches me on and off the mat. There are also spa services, and a cozy place to sip some chai and chat with other members of the community, if you so desire. Highly recommend!

I usually do a yoga class and then relax in Jesi's (the owner) chai and chat corner to get my social fix. Then, other weekends I get a facial after a yoga class. The facials are stellar and like a massage for your face that feels like a meditation session. The Eminence skin care products Jesi has selected for her studio are a game changer. I have only been using Emminence products at home now, and they're the only thing that don't make my skin breakout. Overall, I have been going to Blue door for 5 years now, and it has been the absolute best yoga and spa experience I've ever had. Make your way to Blue Door and you won't ever want to leave!
