I had high hopes b/c the other bridesmaids in my party had used this alterations company so I drove over an hour to use the same one. When I brought the dress in the top strap had to be shortened but the sleeves NEEDED to stay the same length. When I went for pick up the sleeves were too short. The woman in the shop blamed it on my weight b/c I had dropped it off 3 weeks ago. They undid all of the alterations they had done and magically the sleeves were longer again. So now I have to take the dress somewhere else while still paying the full price for them to have not altered anything but the hem. I understand still paying an amount for the work done but there should have been a discount for the issues that were had and the attitude of the woman performing the alterations about my weight. I will never go back and I would not recommend anyone else to them. read more

At the same visit my husband paid to have his pants hemmed and they never did the job but he still paid. This place is a rip off. Go elsewhere. Sad that the original owners are gone because their work was impeccable and with reasonable pricing: these folks jack up the price and don't even do the work. Beyond unprofessional. I would not waste your time or your money here. I brought my dress here to be altered and Ana gave so few suggestions to help. I took it to another alterations location in Metairie and they were so much more helpful and willing to help with my dress when Ana was just very dismissive and almost seemed bother I was there. read more

Bad experience. I had two patches to be replaced on my work uniform it was something pretty simple. Ana told me it would take about 4 days to have it ready I wasn't in a rush so I was good with that. I came back on the day she said they would be ready and they weren't. She said that she was really backed up that if I came back in a few hours she would have it done. I don't live in Kenner so for me to have to drive 20 minutes just for them to tell me to go back home because it wasn't ready was very unprofessional. I will not be going back. read more

At the insistence of Town & Country I brought my wedding dress to the Golden Needle in Baton Rouge. It took him 3 months to get my dress back to me and when I picked it up it was left too long and too loose. When I addressed that, they argued with me and told me that the dress fit how it was supposed to (it didn't). I brought it to Ana's on a rush job and they made it PERFECT in 2 weeks for way less. I highly recommend. So fast and professional. Did everything I asked as well as everyone else's dresses in my family. read more

Two months ago 3/21/18 to be exact, I dropped off 2 dance costumes to have alterations completed as they were not from a previous drop off a month earlier. I even paid in advance. I called a week ago 5/10/18, to see if they were ready and I am told " I forgot I'm sorry" by owner. "I'll have them done by this Friday", she says. I called today to check on the items and she again tells me she forgot and it has not been done. She has been to busy. Than I was rudely hung up and call back and hung up on again. I arrive at the place of business, as I need them for tomorrow, and I'm treated rudely by the owner Anna. She refuses to give me a portion of my money back and acts like I don't matter. She says she simply forgot and wants me to come back later on tonight for the completed work. I don't live locally and I'm not driving back for something she had ample enough time to fix. So I take my costumes back and ask her to do the right thing and refund me a portion. She refuses and tells me she does not care I am upset. She has plenty more customers and that is why she has been open 20 years. WOW IS ALL I CAN SAY. I would not recommend this place to anyone anymore and I have!!!!! read more

These ladies are miracle workers! After a local bridal shop took my dress in too much and cut almost all the seam allowance off, I brought it to Ana's and they took care of me in ONE DAY. Y'all. I brought it Thursday and picked it up Friday. This place will forever have my business. They really do beautiful work for very reasonable prices and take good care of their customers. They also did alterations on my wiggly toddler's dress, and now she looks like the princess she knows herself to be. read more

My first time doing business with Ana's was about a month ago. I had a zipper replaced on a dress and a skirt altered in the waist. I was very pleased with the quality of work so I decided to use them again today for another zipper replacement on a different dress. To my surprise the price increased from $20 to $22 so I asked why was there a difference in the price? She stated that the zipper was longer and more expensive. I went on to tell her that the previous zipper was longer and again asked for an explanation for the increase in price. There was no explanation so she merely repeated, "the price is $22, do you want it or not?" Granted, we're talking about $2 but it's the principle. This could have easily been resolved by giving me legitimate justification for the increase instead of making up prices as you go along. Because of the unprofessional attitude, I will be discontinuing my patronage with this business. It's good to know that $2 meant more to you than having an ongoing customer. I wish I could have given zero stars because good customer service is more important to me than the service provided any day. I hope you treat your future customers better than you treated me. read more

They are great! Friendly and very reasonable on prices, plus when we've needed something turned around quickly, they always do so.

I use to come to this place back then because there was this sweet lady that use to tailored my moms pants, and I came here thinking she would be there. When I came in, there was another lady working and I guess she owns the place now. When I first seen her, she looked soo bothered, but didn't think much of it. When she measured all 4 pants, I told her if I can pick it up Saturday, because Monday I am going out of town. We both agree Saturday is perfect, and she told me to come in before 12 or come in at 12. I told her okay and went on about my day. Saturday came, which is today, and so I came in and I said I'm picking up my pants, when she went to the back there was a little window where I can still see her, and she looked at the other worker basically saying she didn't do them. She then came to the front to talk to me and told me she had not done them, and told me to come back at 1:30 because she closes at 2pm. That is VERY unprofessional. I drove about 45min to come pick these up at 12, then come to find out they weren't ready. The price for 4 pants hemmed, she charged me $60. I told the other worker that I was only going to give them 40 because of their unprofessionalism. He told me no I can't do that. So then the lady came in and told me what's wrong. I explained to her that I was only giving her $40 because of unprofessionalism, she looked at me and then looked at the money, they just slammed the other $20 on the counter and walked away. Sje didn't even do a great job with the Stitching with the pants because it looked all crooked. She was like "here just take it" with such attitude. This is the worst place, and I'll not be coming back. read more

DONT GO HERE FOR ANY MILITARY UNIFORMS!! Went in with my dress coat and they couldn't figure out what a 45 degree angle was. (My uniform required a service stripe 2" in off the cuff and at a 45 degree angle towards the elbow) After they chalked up the sleeve, told me they couldn't measure the angle, and insisted my military issued service stripe wasn't the right size, I became frustrated and went to take my uniform to find a different tailor. The lady tried taking it back out of my hands and claimed she could do it. No they can't! They don't know what they're doing. I urge all my military friends to take their business elsewhere! read more
