New location, same great service and taste!…read more I have tried donuts in many states and countries and I have yet to find one better than here. Well, if I'm honest there was this Amish stand at a farmers market in Central PA that had outstanding donuts, but they only sold them a few times a year and I have no idea how to find them! This trip, I got the big boy donut, a white icing cake donut, and a pretzel. The big boy donut is a huge glazed donut as big as your head. That's right, you can hold it up to your head and it will be just as large!!! This time, however, they put a twist on them and added icing to a few. I know, sweet on top of a sweet sugary donut seems like overkill, and it was. But come on, anyone willing to eat a donut as big as his head has no problem with something super duper sweet! The other items were equally good, and I liked their new larger location. They even added a few new items since I was last there like donut holes/bites. This place continues to reign as the donut king in my estimation, and the fact that they FINALLY accept credit cards now is a huge win.

It was a pleasure to see Resch's Bakery open in Gahanna. As a family new to Ohio in 2013, we heard…read moregood things about Resch's and we have long been supporters in past communities of family owned bakeries. We enjoy their products and welcome Resch's to Gahanna. We are highly confident Resch's would be even more successful if they took two actions: 1. Open for business at least by 7:00 a.m. 2. Offer the option of traditional no-filling Chocolate and Vanilla frosted Long John donuts. -- market data supports this and shows .... Based on: * Sampling of 100+ independent bakery hours across U.S. cities * Regional bakery association listings * Yelp/Google Business hour patterns * Known bakery business models A realistic, data‑grounded estimate is: Only about 10-15% of neighborhood bakeries open at 8:00 a.m. or later. Further market data shows... Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are extremely uncommon. Why unfilled Long Johns almost always remain on the menu * They serve the "less sweet" customer segment. * They pair well with coffee (important for morning sales). * They are cheaper to produce and have fewer failure points. * They are the "default bar donut" in many regions. Even bakeries that push filled varieties keep unfilled bars because they sell steadily and require no additional labor. --- Bottom-line conclusion Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are very rare -- probably under 5% of all bakeries. The overwhelming majority offer both, with filled varieties outnumbering unfilled but not replacing them.

I highly recommend Golden Delight Bakery in Gahanna!…read more I've seen comments about their cakes being "pricey," but let's put that into perspective. If you go out to dinner and order dessert, you're easily spending $8-$12 per person. Their small cake serves 6-8 people and costs around $25--that's only about $4.16 per person for a fresh, handcrafted dessert. What truly sets Golden Delight apart is the quality. These cakes are made fresh and filled with real, fresh fruit. They're light, delicious, beautifully made, and unlike the overly sweet cakes you'll find at most grocery stores. Every bite tastes fresh and homemade. When you look at the value, quality, and flavor, these cakes are absolutely worth it. If you're looking for a special dessert that people will actually remember, Golden Delight Bakery is a fantastic choice!

This bakery is way too expensive. For a full cake, be prepared to pay upwards of $50…read more The cake itself is fine but tastes different than your traditional American cake. The cake is soft and spongy, and not as sweet. Service is also fine. The employee at the bakery helped put a custom message on the cake immediately after purchasing it with no problems asked. The bakery itself is a small place located in a small shopping center. It is nothing fancy. My main issues with this place is just the price of their cakes. Just very expensive for what you get. Not worth the price, but overall not a bad product.

Parking is easiest in the statehouse garage. This is a nice little shop, doing carryout and dine in. 10 or so little tables. Lots of delectable looking pastries, and a couple of sandwiches, and a decent drink menu. I got one of the specials, the Japanese breakfast: miso, maple, milk, espresso. Very, very good warmer-upper on a very cold day. I also got a couple of those little cookies, an ubi and an anise, because they looked so good. I'll try them later. Service was excellent. The atmosphere of the place is nice and welcoming and relaxing. I will definitely be back.

Good, but I was hoping for great…read more No doubt their bomboloni is worth top billing (at least if their merch is any indication of top billing). It was perfectly filled and dusted without be overwhelming from a flavor or density standpoint. The Kouign-Amann was good and also touted. We got a slice of cake that was satisfying. The two savory items were the slightly disappointing dishes. Not that they were bad, but they looked so good and sounded so interesting that the taste just didn't live up to the anticipation. I can't remember the name, but one had a hot dog wrapped inside of croissant dough. The other was a French Onion Dip and Ruffle Croissant which had potato chips on top of it. Both just kind of fell apart leading to eating the components separately. Personally, I will stick to the sweets if I make it back there.
