The only place I know where the jaimaica isn't sweetened. I do like the jaimaica with just the simple tart taste, no need to sweeten it. The only other place that I know of that doesn't sweeten it would be Mexico. I really enjoy coming to Anna's, usually there is only one person who has the job of 2 (waitressing, cashier). Do expect a wait time but DEFINITELY worth it. Their food has the touch of home made, props to the cooks in the kitchen. I once requested a quesadilla on corn tortilla & they were able to fulfill this request! Also they use the mexican cheese, not this greasy cheddar that I loathe. Plenty of locals frequent the joint & on most occasions I run into this old farmer who tells the same story. He never remembers me from the last conversation but he is an older gentleman, very sweet. read more

Ramdomly stopped by for breakfasts on our way to Fresno. Definitly saving this locations for next time. Mom had the menudo and I had the chilaquiles, both were really good. It's rare to find good food on the road, eating at this place felt like having a home cooked meal. Best menudo I've purchased from a restaurant in a very long time. It wasn't overcooked or greasy and we had the option of adding 'granos and/or pata' I ordered the chilaquiles mild but on the spicy side. I rarely believe restaurants when they say their food is spicy, but man I'm glad I got the chilaquiles a bit mild. Definitly spicy!...and that's saying something because I have Jalisco blood running through my veins so I can take quite a bit of heat. read more

I parked my semi here due to heavy fog rain and overall just tired. When i woke up i went in for breakfast, regular chorizo eggs with potatoes which was good then i went to drop off my load and came back for lunch... you know i ordered the Menudo. Pig feet as big as my fist,corn tortillas and it was the real deal it was'nt red like all the other ones this was like a white Menudo! Hands down best gem in Tulare. They house make all their sausages and I believe use farm eggs. Real and authentic flavor to some items. They have a variety of options and will even customize an order. I once asked for fish nachos and they made them perfectly! The only thing I have to say is bad about this place is their tap water and drink selection. read more

I tried this place on a recommendation, went in placed an order and the waitress asked the kitchen if what I ordered was still available. Next thing I hear the microwave go off and my food arrives. The plate was hot but the food was ice cold as if pre made and still frozen. My michelada was warm and the beer that should have been cold was hot. Never going there again. read more

I've been stopping in here the last few years or so (I'm a trucker). I have always been treated nice while being served very good food. I like that they have truck parking. I agree with some of the other reviews...this is a popular place with the locals, and service can be slow sometimes due to there only being one waitress. It doesn't really bother me though, because it's a "mom & pop shop" owned by an older lady named Anna...hence the name. There's not really anything bad on the menu. I highly recommend this place. It has the best food in this area. There is a restaurant across the street that keeps changing hands with food that is questionable sometimes. The other closest option for food is McDonald's or Subway located in the Love's truck stop the next exit North. I prefer a homemade dine-in experience over fast food junk. So, stop in to Anna's for good food and a friendly service. read more

Great Authentic Mexican food. Menudo is good, tortillas are hand made and salsa was delicious. Service was one star though, if any. Server Alex was not attentive and even had to get up several times to ask her for straws and tortillas. Other than that, great place for breakfast! read more

Growing up in Tulare you see a lot of Mexican restaurants, none have been good maybe okay but not good. Let me tell you this place is AMAZING ........ hands done . I must admit seeing all those commercial trucks made it a bit intimidating for myself I would say, but it's welcoming and the ladies are very kind. I myself have tried Wakos Tacos weird name I know I know .... but they taste great, I have gone several times at different times of day and each and every time they are delicious and never disappoint. They have a good spice level not too spice but if spice is not your thing these are not for you. I also went on a weekend and tried Pozole, and let me tell you that is not easy to come by. This is a special dish that not many can conquer you need that special SAZON ..... and let me tell you this place delivers. We had Pozole Verde and mmmm tastes just like made at home. Also tried the Chile Rellenos again did not disappoint, every time meals are made fresh to order nothing tastes reheated or old. This place definitely is our go to place for Mexican food read more

Not happy with order, this is the second time I've placed a phone order that was incorrect when I picked the food up. The order takers should be bi-lingual with a thorough understanding of the english language, and also know how to verify accuracy after an order has been placed. First, they need more servers especially during lunch, we didn't get menus maybe within 15 minutes of sitting, and our food was served 25 minutes later, how simple is it to serve carne asada nachos!!! This place was disgusting!!!! Don't waste your time and especially your money. It took forever to get menus, I ordered the Shrimp Fajitas, all it had was shrimp on a bed of soggy lettuce there was so much water on the bottom. It tasted like the shrimp water. I gave it one star cause it wouldn't let me give less. And it took over 25 minutes on a lunch order. The girl actually had nerve to say, "here's our card so that you can pre-order" as if we are going back. This is the worst Mexican place you can eat!!! If anybody says their food is good is because they have never been to a good authentic Mexican restaurant!! For starters the service was terrible , we arrived and there was nobody in the restaurant but a person at the little bar talking to the girl, she seen us but took her a ten minutes if not more just to take the menu like she was ignoring us!! I ordered a Michelada to drink uughhh not good at all the only good thing about it was the three little shrimp on top. The rice had nooooo flavor it was white steamed rice!! Its a Mexican restaurant not an Asian restaurant!! The enchiladas had no taste as well lacked flavor, very bland !! My husband works near by and would always say his boos went there frequently so I gave it a try... WORST $40.00 EVER SPENT ON FOOD!!! read more
