Giving 3 stars because the menudo was amazing as usual! Our waitress looked miserable like she hated life. She took our order and she never came back to our table. She got so excited when a big family walked in and said was too busy visiting with them.

This was my first time trying this spot, and I stopped by while in town. We were seated quickly despite the place being somewhat small, though it can still accommodate larger groups. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the chilaquiles, which were great, though the rice was a bit bland. My coffee was good, and my partner gave the machaca con huevo an 8.5/10. Overall, a nice experience!

I hate to leave a 2 star because customers service here is amazing!!!, but the food portions, and taste is lacking. My mom ordered the 2 taco dinner plate and her shells looked like they came from a box, they were like Taco Bell tacos. The burrito plate I ordered looks amazing but the inside I believe is mixed with Chorizo, and I had no idea. The taste needs more, so I added some salt and the salsa they serve with the chips. The beans and rice portion was really on the small side, like maybe 2 tablespoons? I sadly will not be back.

I was driving through the area and was stopping to meet a friend. I asked to meet at the best breakfast place in the area, so he told me to meet him at Ana's. It was right off the 99 and just had a cool look and vibe to it. The menu was varied with lots of options. I saw the magic words, Chili Colorado. Better than that, Chili Colorado con Huevos. I was all in! While we were waiting for our orders to come out, I couldn't help but notice the dishes being delivered to other tables. Everything looked great, and I wished I had ordered that. Common problem at the better places. Our food arrived nice and hot, with amazing aromas. I dug in immediately and was greatly rewarded. Everything was perfect from the eggs to the beans and rice. The Chili Colorado was a little spicier than this Pacific Northwest boy was used to, but it wasn't overly spiced. I normalized to it quickly and enjoyed the heat it brought. When you're cruising the 99 and looking for some amazing food, try Ana's Place.

When someone invites me for lunch or dinner to a new place I get really nervous especially Mexican food because I am a hard core critic of Mexican restaurants. Like any good Yelper, I looked at pictures, glanced at the menu, and read the reviews as soon as I found out where my Tulare family wanted to dine on a Sunday afternoon. I admit I was skeptical at first, but as the chips and guacamole came out I was a bit more at ease. The vuelva la vida came out and I had a bite of it and it made me say mmmmmmm. They are not stingy with the avocado btw. My main dish was the tilapia a la diabla and let me tell you, it was delicious. The sauce was smoky, spicy, and flavorful; exactly what I expected. The sides were a bit bland, but I was there for fish and they delivered. Service was a bit iffy at first but as time passed it got much better. They had just been swamped prior to our arrival and we're still recovering from what our server told us. The place itself is a bit run down, but sometimes that's what make the place honestly. I would definitely return here during the next roundabout in Tulare since it's right off the freeway.

This is our second time back in a month! We are from the LA area and this is our go to breakfast/lunch place. We had breakfast this time and it was delicious! Husband had chorizo and egg. Mmmm! I had the country breakfast. It was a lot of food! Everything was delicious! I got the sausage patty. It's huge! We are definitely coming back again and again! This place does not disappoint! Service was excellent and the staff were very attentive!

Great service!! Come hungry, because they do not skimp on their servings. Worth the stop if you're on the 99 and worth driving across town for if you live in Tulare.

So, I had high hopes for this place, but overall it was a bit of a letdown. I ordered 8 tacos (6…read moreasada, 1 chorizo, 1 chicharrón), 1 burrito, and 1 crunchy asada taco. The asada tacos actually had decent flavor -- although the meat was a little on the salty side. Not a deal breaker, but noticeable. The chorizo taco? Honestly, tasted just like the kind you buy at any grocery store and cook at home -- nothing special at all. I was hoping for that rich, house-made taste, but nope. The chicharrón taco was probably the most disappointing -- it was basically a cuerito taco. No real meat, just soft skin, so not what I was expecting. But what really killed the experience for me was the salsa situation. They gave me just two small containers of salsa for everything. The red one was tasty, and the green one was basic but good -- but come on, two little salsas for 8 tacos and a burrito? No limes, no radishes, nothing to help bring the tacos together. We ended up trying to ration the salsa, and without enough, the tacos felt dry. Everyone knows a taco needs to have that salsa dripping down and a good squeeze of lime to really come alive -- otherwise, it's just meat on a tortilla. I'm giving it 3 stars because the asada tacos had potential. But the overall execution, especially the lack of salsa and sides, really brought the meal down. Probably won't be rushing back.

It wasn't too much of a wait, but my burrito was Luke Warm when I got home. It was super thicc and heavy, it felt loaded! Then I took a bite and it was a big glob of guac with a lil meat at the end lol. The meat wasn't really flavored and same with the rice, everything felt more mushy together than working together. Then I started hitting cartilage and chunks of fat and it kind of killed the burrito wanting mood lol. I understand it's a "hit and miss"sometimes, but it didn't help that we waited behind that guy and then I get this lol. Still absolutely loved the salsas, they do have Habanero upon request along with the red and green. Green is the best! Love to come back and get another wet burrito. Maybe having the sauce with the added side salad makes the burrito taste better to me lol.
