I was here about a month ago and the food and service were great. It's a small space, but we got a table easily, we were in around 8 am. I am very picky. I don't eat at chains, I eat organic at home and I have a good taster. :) This lady can cook a lovely home cooked, kinda southern breakfast. I had a spinach and feta omlete and it was delicious, it was served with home fries and sliced tomato, it was just like home for us. Coffee wasn't bad either, not very robust, but not flavored water. We are going to see the Christmas lights in St Augustine this month and I plan on visiting this place again. It wasn't anything fancy, just fine cooking and fresh tasty ingredients at very reasonable prices. PS. The owner wants to feed you and make you happy, she was pleased we were pleased. In town for the weekend and decided to come here after reading some reviews. We were not disappointed. They had biscuits and gravy on special, much to my delight. The biscuits were light and buttery and the gravy just astounding. The home fries were seasoned great and not at all greasy. The grits are made in hour daily and they did not disappoint. The feeling of the restaurant is very homey, almost like you're in your Grandmother's kitchen. Depending on where you sit you can see into the kitchen to watch the cook prepare you meal and it's very entertaining. You can tell tons of locals dine here and the staff is very friendly. The only down side is they only take "cash, credit cards, or dishwashers". There is an ATM across the street you can use if need be. read more

My husband and I found this fabulous quaint restaurant while we were visiting St. Augustine, I can honestly say YES!!! There are only 5 tables, but if you are lucky enough to get one, you are in for some phenomenal home cooking. I had the quiche Lorraine and a biscuit and gravy. Homemade gravy!!! Homemade quiche!! Super slow service. Waitress and cook are alternating helping people but get a hostess if you can't handle seating and get an extra chef because it is unreasonable to wait 20 mins to take an order and another 40 for food. It's breakfast, not a steak dinner. read more

I'm giving this place 3 stars strictly for service. The food was good, location easy if teeny. But, two criticisms. First, the menu is really basic and I creative. Not critical, because what they do make is done really well! Second, it's essentially a short order breakfast/brunch place, and we were there for over 30 minutes before the waitress came to take our order (not including wait time, literally once seated). Once ordered, food came relatively quickly, but 1 hour all in for a short order brunch place with like 8 tables is pretty exaggerated. I'd like to reiterate, the food is good and if you're not hungry or in a hurry, and looking for a super relaxed, casual brunch, I'd recommend it. read more

Food is really good and cooked exactly to order. Best homemade style breakfast I've had in a while. There are a limited number of tables both inside and out. This is a "mom and the kids" family operation - and mom is a really good cook! Enjoying a great breakfast. Two highlights are the home fries -- honestly better than any I've ever had -- and the huevos rancheros. The huevos is exceptional, and normally I don't order that type of food for breakfast. Tge best family owned, well kept secret on Anastasia Island! First of all, I want to say how amazingly sweet and understanding the staff/owner are. We are so happy and thankful. They are so friendly and accommodating (including helping assist us with the booster seat.) The decor is so precious and perfect for the location. We are absolutely in love with the plates and dishes used. I know there are other places on the Island who share a similar name but DON'T be fooled! This beats the competition for sure! (Both in atmosphere and in overall helpfulness/friendliness.) We didnt realize they stopped serving breakfast at 11, which made us slightly disappointed at first. Not to worry though. As soon as the waitress heard us discussing breakfast, she quickly offered to make pancakes. We were so thankful considering we had a very picky 18 month old baby with us. Then she offered to make a breakfast sandwich or french toast. We decided to go with French toast for the little one, a breakfast sandwich meal, a cuban sandwich, and a tuna sandwich. All of it was amazing, delicious, and super fresh. The coffee was amazing too. It was all worth it! The only thing I would advise is to make sure you take cash as they don't take credit cards. That wasn't a problem in our case since we were able to quickly figure it. Many family owned places are like this and it's good to be prepared for it. Absolutely amazing restaurant! We will be back for sure. Definitely our new favorite local spot. We can't wait to visit at the farmer's market to try more specialties! We were there in August 0f 2017. Sheila and our waitress were so nice and the food was so good, that we went back a couple of days later. Very small with a few tables inside and a couple outside but we timed it right. Will be back when in St Augustine, again. Very easy to miss in a little strip mall. My friends and I came here while on vacation. First they sat people that came after us before us, then we were served our drinks last. We had to get up and retrieve menus our selves. After about 20 minutes they brought 2/3 of our breakfast out. By the time those 2 plates were finished I had not received my eggs and breakfast. Upon request an update i was advised there wasn't room on the grill. I asked "no room for scrambled eggs and bacon?" The Owner over heard me inquiring and came out and condescendingly "yes it's just scrambled eggs but I had to serve the others first" at this time my friends had completed eating and I had no interest in eating somewhere the owner argued with you over taking 35 minutes to make scrambled eggs. read more

This restaurant was so good! It is very small but the staff was sweet and kind and funny. They took care of a large party (6) with grace and competence. The food was delicious. I'm surprised I had never found this place in my many trips to St. Augustine. I had a skillet scramble that was delicious. My father in law said the biscuits and gravy were great. We waited an hour and a half for mediocre food and the owner was extremely rude. We had three people in our party and 2 people received our food and we were almost finished our friend went in to tell her don't worry about his food since we were done eating and she said well here it is what do you want me to do about it. Great little restaurant. My husband and and I stopped by for breakfast on our way to the local farmers market. The space is VERY small with limited seating on the inside. There's a few tables outside. The menu is limited; for breakfast they have the basic eggs, grits, bacon and breakfast burritos. The portions was kind of small, but overall very good. The price was extremely reasonable. I am going to give it 4 stars. I would have given it 5 if the space was larger. read more
