Can't stress this enough "Cash Only Business". Now that I've gotten that out of the way....... Sheila's Cafe at Anastasia Kitchen is a very quaint space with some outdoor seating. There is very little ventilation so be mindful of this if sitting inside. The waitress you keep reading about in previous reviews is filled with the southern charm and hospitality that you expect. Super friendly!! Now, the breakfast.....my eggs were cooked to perfection and the home fries (potatoes) also, very good!

The sweeeeeeeeetest, Southern waitresses & cooks! What I truly loved (& will return for): -the quality of food you get for the price (prices are reminiscent of 2005) -decor is very colloquial -"hole-in-the-wall" vibe -specials offered daily -they handmake the strawberry jam ( D E L I C I O U S & simple) *There is extra parking around back. *BRING CASH!!!!!

This may have been our first time dining at Anastasia Kitchen/Sheila's Cafe but it definitely won't be our last! The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the prices were reasonable.

Friendly, fast and delicious food. I love a small, cafe with charm and good food. My wife and I stopped in here after reading other reviews online. We were quickly greeted and offered our choice of inside or outside seating. It is small and space limited, but when we arrived late morning there was plenty of room. I had the breakfast burrito with home fries. They were both great, but the best part was the delicious, fresh pico de gallo. It was the perfect addition to the burrito. Be sure to stop in here for breakfast.

Amazing small place. There's a reason she's been in business for 20+ years. A gem of a find. The food was delicious for as simple as a traditional plate it was. The Mrs. ordered the French Toast sandwich and was a hit. The owner, Nicole, and staff were super friendly and made you feel at home. Always checking on us which confirms their care for the customer. A small place with little seating inside and outside but that's what this place is about. We will visit this place over any great chain biz. Menu items are common and not multiple page worth but again, that's what this place is about. Allows them to focus on fresh, scratch cooking. And yes, the home potatoes we're delish!! Considering her chef nailed our two choices, I know she can rock everything else. A must visit.

Every trip I take to St. Augustine, I have to visit Sheila's. It's non-negotiable. I have not had a bad meal here yet - pancakes and quiche (they have different flavors depending on what they make that day) are my usual order, but the regular breakfasts and the burrito are also good. It's a small place, and you may have to wait outside for a table, but you won't be disappointed.

Stopped here on our way out of St. Augustine, after stopping at another diner that was too full for us. Were we blown away! Breakfast was actually one of the bests I've ever had, I wish we weren't 4 hours away. I got Biscuits & Gravy, bf got their special Breakfast Skillet. The home fries are too die for . Please give this spot a try on your way to St Augustine, super inexpensive, delicious food with great service! One downside is please note it is cash only, but trust it is worth it. Everything was 10/10!!!!!!

Anastasia Kitchen was an inexpensive, quality breakfast in a prime spot on Anastasia Island. My fiance and I were headed to the St. Augustine Lighthouse Thursday morning and wanted a quick breakfast. Anastasia Kitchen had good reviews and seemed as good as any. We arrived to an empty parking lot and a completely empty restaurant. No diners this week day morning. Even though majority of places are allowing dine-in now, Anastasia Kitchen was only doing outdoor seating. We sat at one of the picnic tables and the Florida humidity got us before our drinks even arrived. Our waitress maintained distance and it was the weirdest dining experience we had our entire trip in St. Augustine but she was nice and personable. Our food was out quick and was really good. I ordered the Pork loin eggs benedict and my fiance ordered a traditional eggs, bacon and toast breakfast. The benedict was smothered in a tasty, zingy Hollandaise sauce with a thin slice of pork resting under the poached eggs that were slightly runny as they should be. The side of home fries were not fried but more of potato chunks that had a good flavor to them as well. My fiance's traditional breakfast was good she said and unlike other places that charge $3 extra for bacon, her breakfast was $7 with it included. The food was tasty and filling and the service was good. I'm sure they had their own reasons as to why they only offered outside seating but sweating uncomfortably for breakfast was the main thing I remember from this visit. Also, they are cash only, so make sure you have that handy.

Therefore, this gets a long wait for breakfast/brunch. It's hard to get a parking spot but there's free parking across the street. They have a big waiting area next to the restaurant which is definitely needed as we ended up waiting like 45 minutes around 9:30 am on a Saturday. The food was definitely worth the wait though. I got the burrito smothered with sauce and cheese and the flavor was fantastic. Flavorful but not super spicy or anything. It's also HUGE. Highly recommend. Service is a little questionable, if it was quicker they could probably help with their long wait. It was hard to flag down our girl when we needed something & it took ages to get to check.

The service showed a real lack of knowledge and attentiveness. When I ordered whole milk for my coffee, the response was essentially "is half and half okay?" -- no, it is absolutely not okay. These are completely different in taste and calories, and it's not a reasonable substitute to casually suggest. What made it worse: oat milk, almond milk, and whole milk were all visibly sitting in the fridge right there from where I was seated at the bar. Zero effort to offer what was clearly available. The atmosphere didn't help either. The space feels like someone started building a café concept and never finished thinking it through. It's uninviting, disorganized, and oddly off -- not warm, not designed with the customer in mind. Nothing about the food, the presentation, or the space gives you a reason to choose this place over anywhere else. Not particularly tasty, not nicely decorated, not a vibe. Not sure what keeps people coming back, honestly.

We both ordered the Black Bean Sweet Potato Burger, one vegetarian with pimento cheese, and one vegan. Everything was prepared and served with care--the servers identified each dish as it came out, noting whether it was vegan, which is always appreciated. This was by far the best meal we had on this trip to Florida--every single bite of food at Floridian was an explosion of flavor. We saw a vegan coconut cake in the display but were too full to try it. Maybe next time!

I ordered the fish burger and it honestly surprised me in the best way it was way better than I expected. My partner went with the regular burger and loved it too. Our waitress went above and beyond to help me figure out what the veggie burger was made of and even looked into the company that makes it since I'm picky about veggie burgers. That level of care doesn't go unnoticed. We dined outside and although noisy from the traffic, it was nice. Overall, such a great experience. They really have something for everyone. Definitely recommend checking it out and don't skip the banana pudding.

I asked the server about it and she just told me that it was a 1/2. In an effort to not make a big deal about it, my daughter jumped right in and offered to switch patties with me since she wasn't that hungry. It was immediately obvious that I had a smaller patty since the new one filled the croissant. Second: I asked to substitute the burger buns for the croissant buns they have on a different burger. I was surprised to see the bill showing a $2.50 up charge despite the burgers costing around the same amount and buns being needed anyway + no mention of any up-charge! Third: Our party included two adults + three children + a toddler + an infant. Somehow that warranted an automatic gratuity. We're normally generous tippers but it didn't feel right to have an amount pushed on us without disclosure. We would have tipped anyway despite the servers obvious fake smile and negative demeanor but this just added to the overall poor experience. Our family has no issue paying 25%, or more if service is exceptional, on $600 bills (often at steak houses more-so than regular restaurants) but I walked away feeling cheated here.

The staff here was very inviting and attentive, the menu is also themed and fairly priced, we ordered "The Ford Galaxie" two eggs your way, a choice of meats, choice of toast or biscuits and home fries or grit - although the winner here in my opinion is the coffee it's delicious, strong and robust. Unfortunately everything here wasn't perfect the "West Creek Whipped Spread Butter Blend" is an abomination, it ruined everything we put it on, my bad for not asking for real butter after applying it to my toast, my grits and the English Muffin we ordered, it was inedible to the point we left everything on the plate this stuff touched it wasn't refrigerated as suggested on the label I'm guessing. I usually eat only real butter so what was I thinking - so my dilemma is how do I review this place fairly based on that stuff and the fact it ruined our food since we loved everything else.
