This was our first and last time coming here. After we were seated another party was seated next to us. The waitress took their order while we watched. We told a waitress we were ready to order and she snapped back that there are people ahead of you. So watch out for the blondie with the bad makeup line and sunburnt lips. There are so many more better options for breakfast. Don't waist your time here. We would have left but we were hungry. Food was meh. read more

What an adorable little breakfast spot! It's super small, but we managed to nab an inside table with no wait. The server was friendly and took our drink and food orders promptly. I got Sheila's Skillet Special, no cheese, and when I asked to substitute the toast for something else they offered fresh tomato slices or banana (I opted for tomato). The scramble was huge and filling and I could literally see them making it fresh in the kitchen a few feet away. Diners, or diner-like places, usually have a cozy vibe but fairly greasy food (no matter how delicious). Not this place! I felt like my mom had just cooked me an awesome breakfast at home. All the flavor, none of the "other stuff." They're cash only but I'll gladly go to the ATM again for a return visit. read more

CASH ONLY! You won't see this posted anywhere but the menu in fine print. It's really small but we got a seat right away. One lady brought us water and said our waitress will be right with us. The same lady came back a little later telling us they also had cinnamon rolls/pancakes and waitress will be with us. Waitress came past us three times each time saying, "let me do this one thing and I'll be back to take your order." I told my husband if she says it one more time then let's head out and that's what happened. A shame too because the food next to us looked really good. read more

I love small business and I haven't been anywhere smaller in awhile than Anastasia kitchen. This place only has 5 tables inside and 3 tables outside. This place is small enough that there is definitely a personal touch to everything that they do. The kitchen is in full view of the dining area and patrons routinely mosey on back to chit chat with the cook. I love it. It feels like home , you know? It's as if you were a guest in someone's kitchen . The food is simple, honest, home made, and definitely on point. This place is good for breakfast or lunch but not good for groups larger than 4. Not that this place is kid unfriendly - it isn't, there is a high chair - but it might be difficult to change a diaper here, just sayin. Don't let that stop you though, this place is cool! read more

Delightful traditional breakfast! I was there at 7:05, they don't actually open until 7:30, but the cook/server/owner took pity and let me in a few minutes early. Coffee came piping hot in a huge ceramic mug. Rye toast was buttered in the kitchen, just the way I like it. Hash browns perfectly cooked and seasoned, as were the bacon and eggs. By the time I left the small dining room was nearly full with locals, who know a good thing when they find it. read more

This is the essence of quintessential small kitchen execution. 5 tables inside suggests an intimate and personalized experience. The specials are phenomenal, if there were avocado on the Huevos Rancheros I would have cried happy tears. All standing this is the EXACT kind of restaurant I look for when traveling. Cannot recommend enough, if you time it correctly you can slide into a table without much of a wait. I went there this morning for breakfast. I had my heart set on Cheese grits ... needless to say they didn't have any and convenced me to get home fries which were good. Breakfast was fresh, a decent serving and the server was attentive. The reason for the 3 stars is because once we received the check we found out they ONLY TAKE CASH.. no credit or debit cards. Luckily I had cash on hand. We didn't see CASH ONLY on the menu not to say it was not there.. Our bill was $22.10. I placed $30.10 on the table. There was a light haired lady who came out to collect our check who was not our server; she said, "Do you want us to keep the change? " not in a joking manner. I am usually a big topper. However, to ask for the tip in that manner when it wasn't her table was offensive to me.. (she may have been the owner but regardless) Once she came out to give the change, she proceeded to ask to take my plate even though I was not finished eating which one could plainly see ..I had my fork in my hand and food on the plate... Other than ..no grits ...when it was listed on the menu, cash only, asking to keep the change for the tip without even looking at the total, and trying to take my plate before I was finished the food was good, hot and tasty. read more

This place has the best breakfast! The potatoes are amazing! We have been several times and the food has always been hot, fresh and delicious! The restaurant is small and quaint with only about 4 or 5 tables and limited outdoor seating and they don't take credit card, cash only. Those are things to keep in mind! Located right next to the Anastasia Island Light house. The service has always been great. The environment feels like your at your Mom's house and she's cooking you breakfast with love.
