Sausage gravy was perfect for biscuit dipping!

This little restaurant is off a block the beaten path and definitely worth pulling in to. It has an old school feel as you walk in and warm southern hospitality from their staff. Omelets off the griddle we're second to none! My wife and I will make this stop on every trip through going forward!!!

While traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday, we came upon this cafe thru yelp. The food was very good! Pancakes were light and fluffy, bacon cooked perfectly crisp, the French toast got rave reviews with its cinnamon flavor. Staff was very pleasant. Clean restrooms too!

This place is a hidden gem. We moved here about a year ago and kept forgetting to go try this place, when we finally did it did not disappoint. Menu is simple but definitely worth it. We've tried their breakfast and their lunch special and both were great. For breakfast they had blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries picked from one of the owners house, delish!!! Lunch is a typical rotating menu of southern dishes. Staff is super friendly and their food is fresh and homemade. Will definitely recommend.

We searched for a non fast food lunch outside of the Casino and found this little cafe off the main strip. Simple breakfast and lunch options. Breakfast options were the expected ones. For lunch he had a "big cheeseburger with bacon" and fries and I had a patty melt. The fries and onion rings were both good and the fry oil was fresh. Service was friendly and prompt. Family owned and run.

Eggs, bacon, grits,Sausage gravy and biscuits! Great food, great service!

Bring cash. A classic example of some southern cooking. Service isn't fine dining, but it's great.

We arrived around 10:30 on a Wednesday morning and we were wrong to think that the place would be empty after an early breakfast rush. We were seating upon entering by Brooke who also was our server. The menu is varied and we found out that you can order anything at anytime. We had ordered the Spicy Pulled Pork omelette and Shrimp and Grits. Next time, we're thinking a Grouper sandwich as they were being enjoyed at two tables next to us and looked delicious. Our breakfast entrees arrived quickly. The omelette came with a choice of side and I chose the potatoes. They were seasoned but a bit cold and hard. Brooke offered to swap them out when checking on us, but by that time, I was filling up from the large packed omelette. It was filled with pork, peppers, onions and cheese with more spicy, sweet pork on top. I wish the entrees came with toast. The shrimp and grits were served over gouda grits as requested and the dish was spicy and filling. Definitely one of the best we tried in a while. Drinks were refilled promptly and Brooke took care of her guests quickly and with a smile.

I didn't care for the flavor in the shrimp batter and the fries were heavy coated with pepper. I generally like pepper, but it was a bit much. The grilled pork chop wasn't bad. I will say a $7 charge for a large chocolate milk that wasn't even that good of milk. Maybe we ordered poorly today. Our server was a 10/10.

Weekends seem to be busy, so be prepared to wait a little. You can call ahead and get on their waiting list, they don't take reservations. Our servers were wonderful both times. First time we went I ordered the Maque Choux Benedict. The base was beautiful Golden brown Green Tomatoes instead of English muffin, delicious Crab cakes on top of that, topped off with poached eggs, scratch made maque choux, Creole Hollandaise, Andouille sausage, green onions and dusted with paprika. My sister got the Crawfish Egg-toufee. It also had the fried green tomatoes as the base, topped with Bacon, poached eggs, Creole Hollandaise, Crawfish and green onion. Both dishes were delicious. The Maque Choux Benedict was so good I devoured the entire dish. It's a really filling dish so it was perfect before the hike my sister and I went on. Second time around I ended up getting the Lobster gouda grits and my sister got Avocado toast with Lobster. The grits was delicious, just the right amount of spice and creamy. It's a must try. My sister enjoyed her dish as well. All in all we had a great experience and will definitely return on our next visit.

The service was outstanding -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made sure we had everything we needed and added such a positive energy to our meal. Great friendly environment. They are sandwiches and I've yet to meet a $25 sandwich being from all around the world in the United States. I can say I've eaten Carnegie and some of the best delis in the country and the world I really enjoyed my food. I will not take anything away from that, but I drove up and had my lunch and I enjoyed it very well and tipped very well. Also told the waiter. What a great job he did and the food and then I left after paying my bill but as I left, I remembered that someone had told me that they had prime rib on Saturday night, but they run out, so I parked my motorcycle or trike, sissy bike as the chef called it and went back inside to ask about the special and he met me telling me I need to move my bike now. I only parked there cause I could not walk all the way from the parking spot to there. I'm sorry I have a very bad back, but I was only there less than a minute before this guy had a super cow so the food is good. I can't say anything bad about that, but I I think that the Chef wishes here to chose another profession because I don't really pick it up from him having a passion. I'm a retired chef and a CEC I doubt he knows what that is but it's a certified executive chef through the American culinary of Federation, but I retired after about 40 to 45 years and I don't wanna get into bragging but I know that if you make a good brisket sandwich that don't make you a chef so anyway I'm sorry I can never recommend you guys but I just think you need to look at your Chef just maybe a little bit have a great day and again food's not bad. The chef can cook but he's a knucklehead. but you won't have to worry about the thousands of dollars that I could have pointed your way or another friend of mine could appointed your way but you don't understand is when you have a bad experience at a place you tell everyone when you have a good experience, you don't really mention it. Remember that especially where you guys live. Nobody's gonna remember you in a while if this guy keeps acting like Hitler at the airport.
