Beautiful place! Hospitality was outstanding! We stayed at the King Suite and view of the harbor was amazing!

This photo shows $534.34 that the hotel stole from me without asking me and saying to me they never DID IT!

My name is Irina, and I want to share an important story for future guests. My fiancé and I stayed one night at Anchor Inn in early September 2025. We loved the location -- beautiful, quiet, and clean. The hotel itself feels far above its 3-star rating. The pool was great, and the room, around $155 per night, was very comfortable. We left happy. Around 2 a.m., I spoke with a pleasant woman at the front desk. I asked if they had ocean-view rooms, and she said yes, "I could reserve one for the following weeks. I told her I'd confirm in the morning after speaking with my fiancé. The next day (September 3, 2025) we checked out. The front desk was empty, so we left without confirming anything. My fiancé decided he didn't have time that month, so we planned to return later. The next day, Anchor Inn charged my debit card $534.34 without my authorization. I immediately called the hotel. The manager, Eva, was extremely rude and unprofessional -- shouting and refusing to listen. She claimed that I had "booked the room," which is false. I never signed or confirmed any reservation, and under Massachusetts Consumer Protection Law (M.G.L. c. 93A) and Federal Electronic Fund Transfer Act (15 U.S.C. § 1693 et seq.), a business cannot charge a consumer's account without explicit authorization or signed consent. Even if a reservation had been made, I had the legal right to cancel before the scheduled stay, and the hotel was obligated to provide a refund under Massachusetts 940 CMR 3.16(3), which prohibits unfair or deceptive practices in business transactions, including the refusal to refund for services not rendered. I explained this to Chase Bank's fraud department, and they agreed with me -- the charge was unauthorized and they refunded my money. Shockingly, on October 22, 2025, the hotel charged my account again -- another $534.34! I called repeatedly; no one answered. My emails were ignored. Chase later informed me that Anchor Inn submitted "documentation" claiming I signed the charge. That is completely false -- I have never signed anything. Submitting false authorization documents constitutes fraud and theft under Massachusetts General Laws c. 266 § 30. What makes this even more painful is my health condition. I have suffered severe pneumonia since April 2025, confirmed by CT and X-ray (lung scarring, chronic cough, loss of voice). These were my last funds meant for medication, oxygen equipment, and masks. By wrongfully taking this money, the hotel put my health and life in danger, violating M.G.L. c. 93A § 2(a), which forbids unfair acts that cause foreseeable harm to consumers. I am now preparing a motion to the Massachusetts Superior Court (Boston) to recover the stolen $534.34 and seek additional damages for fraud, theft, emotional distress, and health endangerment. I will also file complaints with: * Massachusetts Attorney General's Office - Consumer Protection Division * Federal Trade Commission (FTC) * Better Business Bureau (BBB) Please, future guests, be cautious. The location and rooms may be beautiful, but no hotel has the right to charge your card without your permission, and no one deserves to be treated with such aggression and disrespect. -- Irina Boston, MA

View is nice. But not $300 nice. Air conditioner fan stayed on constantly with no way to shut it off. Continental breakfast had a decent variety. Most of the staff was nice. Pool was 8 + feet deep. Not recommended for young children.

Great place to stay. I think most rooms have a view of the marina. Nice laid back hotel. We got a room with a surround balcony. I would definitely come back here. The staff are awesome

There is absolutely NOTHING about the Anchor In that I would change. If you're looking for a friendly, clean, convenient to everything vacation, look no further. My family had the pleasure of staying at the Anchor In June 15-18th. Upon arrival we were greeted by a wonderful young woman who very politely told us that our room was not ready yet (we arrived around 11am). It was to be expected because check in wasn't until 4pm. She confirmed our contact phone number, told us to enjoy the property and she would call us when it was ready. We took a quick walk around to discover all of the fun things offered. We decided to wonder into town, just a short distance away, to explore the area. As we stopped through the quaint town, our phone rang to let us know our room was ready. A short walk back to the Anchor In and we were ready to check in. During check in we asked if we could get a room that leads out onto the lawn. Unfortunately, the rooms are pre-assigned BUT we were lucky enough to get a room in the exact location we wanted. Next we received a tour of the grounds. I honestly couldn't have been more impressed by the level of customer service thus far as we've stayed in higher priced resorts and never received a personalized tour. The grounds are the iconic image of what you would expect in a coastal community. Tons of lawn games, beautiful pool with a view of the water, Adirondack chairs surrounding a fire pit, an indoor seating area with a view. The location is close enough to walk anywhere and yet just outside of down town Hyannis where you won't have the hustle and bustle of the crowds and loud bars and restaurants. Upon entering our room for the next 3 nights I was very pleasantly surprised at how well appointed it was. The beds were very comfortable and OMG! This place has the BEST water pressure in the shower. I didn't want to get out. Everything was very well maintained and tastefully decorated. Sadly we did have a rainy day during our visit but we were very happy to spend a good portion of it in their library room. This room is beautiful! It offers complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cookies until 11:45pm daily. It's stocked with a large variety of games, giant jenga was our game of choice. Check out day finally came. Although checkout is 11am, we were invited to leave our vehicles in the lot while we went into town for the day. Would we stay here again? Definitely YES! The only thing that I would change is the nominal ($10) fee for the continental breakfast on top of the resort fee.

It's hard to tell from the street how beautiful this hotel is! They excel in cleanliness, professionalism, and hospitality! I can't say enough about them. My stay there was because a family member was in the hospital across the street and it was nice to have this gem to return to after a long day. There is a great view of the harbor as well where you can watch the ferry to and from Nantucket all day long.

One word? AWESOME!…read more Initially, the thought of a B&B creeped me out. I don't like staying over friends or relatives' houses unless I must, let alone some stranger's house in an area I am unfamiliar with. Call me strange, but something about the concept of a B&B has so much in common with a horror film that ends with me getting killed along the line...but not here. My wife and I joined a few of our friends to go to Hyannis and Martha's Vineyard for Memorial Day Weekend and we stayed here. Craig and Ginny (the proprietors) were so friendly and accomodating. Both of them are very personable and full of great local knowledge that they really helped make our stay easier and more pleasant. You will be regaled with Craig's funny stories if you just take the time to speak with him. Ginny is so willing to make the stay as comfortable as possible. You could not ask for better hosts. At no time, did I think they would kill me, and cure my flesh to make sausages like in the movie "Motel Hell". (Sorry, my paranoia is a bit unreasonable). The place is literally a 10-15 min walk from Main street. The beach is 5 min in the opposite direction. You're so close, you can smell the salty air when you step from your room. The rooms are very nice. In fact, you have 2 choices of where to stay: Stay in the main house or the guest house. We stayed in the guest hose, facing the back yard and the large comfortable hammock that gently rocked me to sleep several nights. Our room consisted of a small sleeping area,, a bathroom and a closet. They got cable tv and I do believe there is wi-fi. But why come all the way to Hyannis to surf the web and watch cable? And the room size? Who cares. I was there to see the town, not stay indoors. It was more than adequate and very comfortable. By the way, the breakfast was DELICIOUS. You get two choices: some awesome egg dish or some ceral with yogurt. I went for the eggs and was pleased everytime. Damn, that was good food. Overall, we were extremely pleased. We're definitely going to stay here again. The rates are more than fair for all the accommodations, and the people here really make it worth the stay. My only regret in writing this review is that you'll read this and stay there with your friends and make it harder for me to do so. Do not make me slay you...

So after looking at a variety of hotel options that I couldn't afford and lower priced ones that I think I would've gotten diseases from, I decided to look at B&Bs. Having only stayed at a B&B once in the past (in Maine), I wasn't quite sure what to expect. But the rates were right in line with what I wanted to pay, there was availability, and I had read other good reviews. I cannot say enough about how much this place exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Firstly, the location is perfect. A 5 minute walk to the beach, 10 minute walk to Main Street, 20 minute walk to the ferries to MV & Nantucket. But don't even concern yourself with the 20 minute walk, because Craig & Ginny, the proprietors, are more than welcoming and offered us a ride to and from our ferry the day we went to Nantucket. They also provide beach chairs if you're going to the beach, restaurant and local area recommendations (of which we listened and were not disappointed), and most importantly HOSPITALITY. You don't get this kind of attention at a hotel. The B&B itself is very quaint... clean, well-kept, equipped with outdoor seating areas to relax as well as a pool, which was an added bonus I didn't expect before arriving. The breakfast area is very cute and the breakfast itself was delicious every morning. I really can't say enough good things about my stay at Salt Winds... just don't even second guess yourself and just book it and see for yourself. You can't come close to this location, level of service, and accommodations for the price on Cape Cod in the summer!

I feel like the other reviews are a little harsh. Yes, it's old and has a cottage-like feel but you can clearly see that from the pictures on the website. I wasn't planning on spending much time in the room, so that didn't bother me. I thought the room was comfortable and clean. Hospitality was welcoming and helpful. Also, to address another review, I was able to stay for only one night, but that was through Expedia. Pros: Walking distance to a beach Can borrow beach towels and beach chairs for free Cute outdoor sitting area Access to kitchen with fridge and other appliances Simple breakfast included (cereal, fruit, bagels, etc) Cons: Parking is included in your stay, however the parking area can get full. It is a gravel lot with no parking spaces or parking passes required. My friend and I got back in the middle of the night after a night out and all the spots were taken. It would be really helpful if the spots could be reserved per room so it's guaranteed that you'd always have a space. Also, I think this place would benefit from better lighting. I went down for breakfast in the morning and only windows lit the dining room. Poor lighting just makes the rooms like dark and dingy. I would stay here again!

This is the place that is the center of Cape Cod, and all the features she has to offer; the beaches, restaurants, attractions and nightlife. While Cape Cod is small, only about 50 miles long, we find staying in Hyannis is the best spot to start our day-trips: a ferry ride to Martha's Vineyard, or down the road to Provincetown, both are only minutes away. Instead of blowing our budget, we just return each evening to the inn. Last summer, we enjoyed a glass of wine on the back porch, checked out the menus from a few nearby restaurants, had dinner at Alberto's, and were back at the Inn by 10. Another night, we enjoyed the Hyannis nightlife, and returned around midnight. The comfortable, relaxing solitude of the Inn makes you feet like a thousands miles from anywhere, but we know the Ocean is less than a half mile away, and the restaurants and nightlife are only a half mile the other way. Perfect! That's the nice thing about not being in a hotel downtown. This is why we always come back several times a year to this Inn, Bill the Innkeeper always treats us like royalty each time. (As a frequent guest, he also gives us a discount). See everything Cape Cod, right here in Hyannis Port (on the road leading to Craigville Beach).

From 12 o'clock: Stringy, dry braised beef 'short ribs', very dry rice pilaf with a spoon of the beef sauce to moisten it up a little, flavorless, unseasoned butternut squash ravioli in browned butter with pepitas, exceedingly dry, unseasoned salmon with no sauce, gummy, pasty chicken part with a gluey, tasteless sauce and very tasty glazed carrots. The salt shaker did a lot of work on this meal. The crême brulée was nice. The room's ambiance was cold and sterile with no discernable decor. The podium on the riser was visible scratched, nicked and dinged. There was one bartender for 150+ guests and they were apparently short staffed. P.S. If you're planning an event there, beware. I know this hotel has been undergoing changes and renovation so I will keep my eye on the reviews to see if anything improves. The good- the food. Lunch, dinner and breakfast were all buffet were to my surprise was pretty good. I had limited interactions with the staff so cannot comment there. I will say we had a fire alarm go off (I get it), and we were told although the firefighters couldn't find the source, they (the hotel) would keep an extra eye on things and be diligent in our wing. Fifteen minutes later- the alarm in my room started chriping (assumed it was the battery). Called the front desk from the room phone 3 times over 15 minutes- no answer. Called the main number of the hotel from my cell phone and the front desk picked up. They sent maintenance, who stood on the vanity bench from the bathroom to reach the ceiling and change it. In contrast, one of the other room (I was a chaperone for a large group)- their maintenance person put a plastic bag and duct tape over the fire alarm. The bed was comfortable. While our shower was clean, two of the other rooms had bugs in the shower. One room had yellow water from the faucet. At this point it was very late so we had the kids shower in other rooms. Our shower had the overspray on the wall tiles from when they repainted the bathtub. Floors are worn and dust and dirt under the bed. No screens on the sliding door. Two bottles of cheap shampoo and one bar of soap were given - Luckily I brought my own. Now the electrical outlets- none of them could charge a cell phone other than the ones in the bathroom. Multiple chaperones reported the same. When unplugged in the charger, it literally fell out of the wall. And the outlet next to the bed- the switch plate was broken and the outlet was ready to fall out all together. Can't comment on the pool but the kids seemed to enjoy it. Everything else is just... worn and tired and dated and if redone it was not redone well. I would not call this a "resort". Conference center it was.
