So many pros to list.... 1) answered phone each time I called (great communication) 2) bumped me up on the waiting list a day in advance 3) job was done clean, in a timely manner and perfect. 4) I wasn't home when the service was being performed but my wife was. The tech spoke to me over the phone and I asked my wife to take pictures of work being done. Better yet... the tech took pictures of before and after and sent them to me from his phone. That shows confidence and accountability and that goes a long way with me. 5) price was fair in my opinion. I didn't get other estimates because I felt I didn't need to nor did I care to pay someone less money because of all the reasons above. The work that took place was repairing a leak at the main valve. This required digging about 15 inches and replacing a section of old rusted pipe with pvc and fittings. No more leak! If there was any con.... it would be that there's a waiting list, but if there's a waiting list for something, there's probably a good reason why. read more

Our toilet overflowed twice in the middle of the night on a Saturday night. We had previously used Anchor Plumbing Services after a bottle was flushed down the toilet (thank you my toddler boys) and we had been impressed and called them back for service to our plumbing system. I had a water softener installed by another company who found a pre-existing leak they could not fix. I called Anchor Plumbing and these guys were out there within 30 minutes, fixed it, no haggle, quick, and very professional. What's funny is that I found Anchor plumbing on my own through yelp. They were very professional, wore protective gear, such as masks, gloves and boot coverings. I needed a shut off valve for the gas line so I could use my new gas range as I was switching from electric to gas. Anchor came out the next day and installed the shut off valve and gas line to reach my new range. They could have stopped there as that was all they were required to do, but they hooked up the range, made sure there were no leaks and removed all the packaging from the range. They then realized that I didn't have the correct outlet behind my range. Since I wasn't moved into the home yet I didn't have an extension cord to plug in the range. They went to their truck, got an extension cord, and proceeded to verify that the range was properly working before they left. They definitely went above and beyond! I called them out to fix a leaking hose bib, but that turned into a big repair to the pressure valve. They checked the pressure and realized it was high and confirmed it with a test. I already knew I had a potential valve problem because a previous plumber stated it could possibly be going out, but didn't run a test like Anchor did. The price was fair considering the work they had to do. Adam and his assistant were very nice and patient and didn't rush or push me into doing something I didn't want. I would recommend them going forward. I hope I don't need a plumber soon (no offense), but if I do I will be calling Anchor. read more

Beware!!!! Anchor Plumbing, in my opinion, is beyond horrid. I was charged over $4000 for work. I was not home when the work was completed. I had a leak from my washing machine and a clogged toilet. I was told an apparatus had to be attached to the line to flush the line since the snake didn't work. i was called Friday since I wasn't home saying the work was completed. Needlessly to say when I got home the water was still running from the washing machine. Monday Gerald said they had to bring out a bigger machine to flush the line. mind you I'd already been told the work was completed when they asked for payment Friday. When I got off the phone, the people who dug the hole for the attachment were here and had covered the hole. Therefore the bigger machine could not be brought out to flush the line. They offered a reimbursement and I told them I'd have to go over the invoice and determine how much I thought I should be refunded. Today I talked to Paul who is supposedly the President of the company. In addition to screaming at me and hanging up in my face, he's refusing to refund any of my money even though the workers have admitted they didn't do what they were supposed to do. Paul lied and said I requested all of my money back. I am not an unreasonable person and never said that. these people lie and lie and lie. I would advise that if you're looking for a plumber, I wouldn't suggest this one!!!!!! read more

Anchor Plumbing has been awesome so far. Since I moved into our new home in 2016, we have had a few Plumbing issues, but I've called our (sad excuse of a) home warranty company for repairs. As one would expect, a typical pipe issue isn't covered. The company they sent quoted $600 for the job. I told them I'd get back to them but I wanted to get another quote. I set up an appointment with some guy named Will too fix it (if you're in San Antonio, you get that joke). Well, Will called 4 hours later, so I had to reschedule. The next time Will must have been fixing someone else's stuff and was a no call no show. That's fine.... So I went on Yelp and found Anchor. I had an immediate callback from Paul and was set up for an appointment the next day. Just by my description over the phone, Paul quoted me $350 as an estimate. I asked him if they would fix it right when they came out to do the real estimate and he said most likely they would. This is odd because the first people that quoted me $600 wouldn't be able to fix it the same day. It was a nothing part from what I've learned. Anyway, when Henry and Dakota came out, sure enough the cost was $350 on the nose! While they were here, I asked them a few other things and just anticipated they'd just add to the $350. But... No.... No charge! Well, now... I'm having toilet problems. Most likely it would be covered by the home warranty. But, I don't have time to deal with that, only for them to find something wrong that isn't covered. Blah blah blah. We went to Home Depot tonight, bought a toilet, and it's ready for Anchor to pick it up and install. Just waiting for confirmation from Paul on when it'll be done. So far... Class A service. Heck they have nearly all 5 Star ratings on here for a reason. I recommend Anchor Plumbing to anyone here in San Antonio. read more

Definitely did not live up to their ratings. Replaced a hot water recirculating unit. Never checked to see if it was recirculating hot water. It didn't work. Called the manufacture and was told the water heater just needed flushing out the tank. Save your money, call another plumber who knows their craft. read more

Had slow draining and backing up and they tried so hard to snake it out, working late, but our house is old and did not have a clean out, so they needed to install one and came back the next day to install and cleaned out the drain.
