It's astonishing to me that Elaine from "And I Quote" has a business. Elaine (the owner) and her employee, Lori were completely unprofessional that I'm still in awe on how they treated us with such disrespect. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Our initial meeting with Lori was tough to get through. She displayed incompetence and never gave any attention to what we were saying. She stumbled through her samples and never knew how much anything would cost. However, we gave her the benefit of the doubt that she was having an "off" day. Once we received our wedding invites we realized her off day is every day. When we received the order, our RSVP cards were noticeably off-centered and crooked and Lori brushed it off as it was nothing, said "your guests probably won't even notice" and sent us on our way. She argued with us that there was nothing wrong with the invites when they were clearly crooked and not centered. After several conversations they finally agreed to reprint them. However when we received the remaining portion of our order, our response envelopes were also noticeably off-centered and crooked. You would think that a business in this profession would be able to realize this is not suitable for a wedding invite. After a constant battle, Elaine agreed to refund us a small fraction of the cost. The day we went to pick up our refund, she had the gall to give us three of the dollars in pennies and proceeded to use expletives when we tried to show her the several mistake made by her business as well as when asking me to leave the store. That is what upsets me the most. I understand that mistakes happen all the time, and I don't fault them completely for that, but the fact that I was in the store telling her something was wrong and she told me that my guests "probably wouldn't even notice" and to get the **** out of her store, is not right. Being in a brick-and mortar retail business myself its upsetting that a place like "And I Quote" exists. It gives mom-and-pop businesses a bad name, especially with the struggles of online competition. It really is hard to hope that this place thrives. With that being said, due to the fact we have had this experience and are on the clock we will be pursuing Etsy for our future printing needs. I would never wish ill-will on anyone, but this one came close. read more

It is sad that we often share only our poor experiences and complaints. I have been a long standing customer of And I Quote and have had only good experiences. Elaine has always made every effort to meet my needs and I have always been very happy with her work. This is not based on a single event. I have used And I Quote for both my son and daughter's weddings as well as bridal showers, baby showers, and other events. Her merchandise is of the highest quality and her timing was impeccable for every event. She supplied guidance with reference to timelines for each event as well as etiquette appropriate for each occasion. It was such a pleasure working with "And I Quote," specifically Lori. This past summer I purchased my wedding invitations and Lori made the process so simple. I had a vision of what I wanted but I couldn't explain it well. The first invitation Lori handed me was the one. She knew what I wanted better than I could explain. I would highly recommend. Elaine was wonderful with the choosing of shower and wedding invitations. My daughter was thrilled! She took a lot of time with us and helped us make great choices. She answers emails quickly and has convenient hours . She offers a lot of choices. Elaine realized that the envelopes that were going to be ordered with wedding invites were too small. I also had a HORRIBLE experience with 'And I Quote" I had given her a lot of business in the past, but now I would never recommend them to anyone. She spelled Holly instead of Holy for my daughters baptism and told me it was my fault and no one really would read it. She would not give me my money back and then proceeded to curse at me with my daughter there! I met Elaine 13 years ago when our children were first born. I walked into her store looking for baby announcements for my son and she helped me pick out the perfect ones! Then one year later when my second was born, she once again was there for me professionally and I had great announcements with no flaws whatsoever!
