Our 2022 F150 stalled right after cranking then would not turn over. While looking up symptoms we discovered an advance recall for the fuel pump. We contacted Anderson Ford and scheduled their Mobile service. The mobile technician confirmed it was a fuel pump issue. We then spoke with Stephen who made arrangements to have the truck towed to dealership. Luckily our truck was covered under the manufacture warranty and was repaired within 2 days. Stephen kept us informed during the process and was patient with our questions and concerns. read more

My son in law and daughter bought 2 used vehicles from this establishment. My son in law drove his a few months and the starter melted to the engine, causing him to be stranded on the interstate. When I called on his behalf, the dealership discussed with me all the financial details of his transaction with them. I am not co-signed on either of the loans, therefore it's was illegal for them to disclose that kind of information to me. He is planning to report this dealership to every government entity that oversees dealerships, and their unethical conduct. After it is all said and done, the car was not worth fixing. I brought my ford ranger in to figure out what was causing my misfire in cylinder 2. I told them I changed the plugs, the coil and the wires, along with testing fuel pressure. I was unable to do further testing myself so I brought it here so they can test what I couldn't. After paying 200$ for a diag which I think is reasonable but I'll this tech did recommend spark. When returning to clarify what I had already done the tech still stuck by the plugs. I listened in case I was in the wrong but after changing them with motor craft spark plugs like recommended nothing changed. After explaining to the tech that it wasn't the spark plugs like I said he then responds with "coil?". I brought my truck here bc I didn't have the tools nor the experience to go further myself If I knew I was paying for someone to guess I would have just kept my 200$ and did it myself. read more

My daughter, a student in the area, has taken two different vehicles to Anderson Ford for service on separate occasions. I live five hours away, so I rely heavily on clear and accurate communication from the dealership. In both instances, the initial diagnostic assessments resulted in repair estimates just under $2,000. After I approved those repairs, I was informed within 24 hours that an additional major repair was needed. I question why these significant issues were not identified during the original diagnostic process before I authorized the initial $2,000 in work. While I might understand this happening once, experiencing the same pattern a second time raises serious concerns. On both occasions, I was told the additional problem was not discovered until after the initial repairs were completed. Most recently, the vehicle was determined to need a new transmission. However, the car had been test-driven the day before without any reported transmission issues, and there was no indication from the mechanic (Steven) that a transmission problem existed. I was told the computer had been reset, but there was no documentation suggesting transmission concerns prior to my approval of the initial repairs. Had I been informed from the beginning that the vehicle required a transmission replacement, I may have made a different decision regarding the earlier repairs. This experience has left me disappointed with both Ford and Anderson Ford's service process and communication. read more

Joe Vogel the dealership manager was awesome at closing on my used 2014 Ford truck. Paid cash. Since then I tried calling him at least 14 times leaving messages with anyone who would listen! Staff was attentive and kind. He would not return my phone calls about the stuck door onto passenger rear side of the truck that does not open. Supposed to be fixed at time of delivery. Even the sales man who sold it to me Jerry could not get my calls answered by Joe. The license plate administrator for Anderson Ford hand delivered the message to Joe to call me 4 times still didn't end in results. I live in Colorado built a house at lake secession in South Carolina which is why I bought the truck from Anderson Ford in South Carolina. We drive Fords at our meat processing plant, construction business, ranch, and food truck catering business. We have never had such bad customer service. To this day, over a month a half later, I still have not received a call back or had the problem resolved. Now i know why this dealership has a 1 star rating on yelp. Beware buyer!!! read more

I would leave zero stars if it was allowed, but this place is as shady as they come. I have two instances where they did some shady stuff. first scenario, jan 2025 I go up there to trade my explorer, the salesman and the finance guy says I have negative equity but if I don't try to haggle them down and I pay what they're asking, they'll cover all the negative equity and I won't roll any over .... come to find out after I tried to trade it in, they'll cover just added it to my new loan! yea I should've read the paperwork better, but I was going off their word (which is garbage by the way) so they just lied to my face to get me into that truck so they could make some money. fast forward to last week and this Monday, spoke with Bruce, he had me approved for a new f150 tremor, supposedly had it all worked out, all I had to do was bring my truck, sign some papers then take it home. I call before I head up there monday, would've been the perfect time to tell me someone was buying that truck at that moment, no, they let me get all the way up there, tell me it's being sold and try to sell me another truck... im sorry, but to me. that's a bad business tactic.... read more

I'm really disappointed I was ok with giving them free rein on telling me what was wrong with my car however when they did not fix the problem,then started to go sideways customer service rep. Was very nice however in the end the service manager was not so, I asked if this doesn't work what are you going to do about it? I have had two encounters with Anderson Ford. The first time was a number of years ago before the pandemic. I was trying to buy a Ford Ecosport from them and they appeared to have a great price. After going there it turned out that the price they were advertising was the price minus all the ford incentives which not one person can get them all. Left very deflated. Second encounter which was today was they were advertising a Ford Maverick that they display they have on their lot but after enquiring they don't they are just re-advertising an advert of another dealer that has it. Took my car here two months ago to get a few minor things done and the man who greeted me at the service desk was incredibly and unnecessarily rude. I could only place a service request on the Ford App because, even though I called three times, no one answered. The man at the desk was upset I didn't specify exactly what I needed done on the Ford App and said it was always better to call to set up an appointment...which is ironic because I called three times to do just that and no one answered the phone. Flash-forward to this weekend: I'm home visiting my family and my dad remarks on the front license plate on my car and how terrible it looks because it's upside down. You'll be shocked to learn this is one of the minor things I asked Anderson Ford to put on my car. I went to Ford specifically to have this done correctly so I drive back on Saturday to get this fixed. The website says the Service Department is open from 8 am- 2 pm on Saturdays. When I get there, I'm told that the Service Department is closed on Saturday. Very unimpressed with this dealership, especially with the amount of money I paid so it would be done correctly the first time. If I can get them to answer the phone, I plan on calling for a refund. read more

I will just explain. You decide. I dropped my vehicle off on Wednesday. Varying issues, older car. Most of the repairs and problems were covered by warranty issues. It was suppose to be ready the following Monday. Tuesday, no later for a total price of @2050. I called and checked Tuesday morning. I was told the car was going to be ready for pick up by 5pm. I didn't get a phone call. I had to call Wednesday morning, several times about the status of the car. Sad to say, I got the run around. Seems no one could come to to grips with the status of the car after repeated phone calls. I decided to go in and speak with someone face to face. Big surprises. I was quoted a bill three hundred dollars more than the original quote, with a warning there was a check engine light for the VTC solenoid. An additional 500.00 more. I drove the car home. There is no check engine light. The car runs fine. After waiting three weeks for an appointment, you'd think you don't have to double check maintenance and follow up. Think again. It can cost you upwards of $800 if you aren't paying attention. This is a lame excuse for a service station. Case in point. $130.00 for a battery replacement. Just to put it in mind you. Not to figure out what's wrong, just slap a new one in. Not even the purchase of a battery. Labor costs are @130.00 just to loosen four bolts. Carter in service verified it takes 45 minutes for a mechanic who earns 170.00 in labor takes 45 minutes to replace a top mounted battery in a 2012 Ford Focus. They refunded $80.00 of the labor. Thank heavens. Only after all day on the phone. Say no to dealing with service folks that have no concept about service. Just the highlights. There's much more to the episode. Just go over your bill with a fine tooth comb. Object to egregious pricing. Save yourself and your family. No one else will care, especially the Ford dealership in Anderson. Thanks. Not just a vent, but a real deal. I'm still stunned by the level service but satisfied only after some badgering. I will never go back there again. I think that will suit us all. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! I wish I had known their reputation before buying one, let alone two cars from them. We are still waiting for them to "get to the bottom" of completely lying and misleading us into the car we have. We were looking to roll negative equity into a lease. We were offered what the sales rep called "Ford's special three year lease agreement". The paperwork signed was for an interest rate of 4%. The next week, they called and said that the paperwork we signed was for a Bronco and not the Escape we have. We had to stop by, sign a new paper and nothing would change- complete mistake on their end (his words). We never received copies of this, just the original paperwork we left with when we got the car. When it came time to make the first payment, it was $40 more than we agreed on at signing. About a month ago, we had our credit run at another dealership. They pulled us at a 7% interest rate. We showed him our paperwork we got when we got the Escape and their finance manager not only informed us we were LIED to about the interest rate, but that we are BUYING the car. This is NOT a lease. There is no "special leasing deal" that Ford offers. They also informed us of the reputation the dealership has. They suggested leaving and going to talk to Ford immediately. The finance manager told us at Ford on "his end" we've still got the 4% interest rate, and we shouldn't have the payment we do. When I asked why we are paying $40 more than it shows in their system, he had no answer. When I mentioned feeling mislead to get this car considering the payment and interest rate are NOT what we signed for and the fact that it is NOT a lease, he immediately corrected me and said "I wouldn't call that misleading". He then said his computer was locked down (although he could pull it up before I said I felt mislead), and he would absolutely find out why the interest rate and payment we apparently have is NOT what we were given. I have spoken to multiple dealerships in the surrounding area (Anderson), showed them the paperwork, and explained the situation and every single one of them has assured us that Ford is wrong in this situation and we likely have grounds to take legal action. One of the finance managers I spoke with suggested I start with writing a review and posting on their socials to bring attention to not only this issue, but to WARN other unsuspecting and trusting buyers. My husbands truck needed bodywork and repair. We took it to the service department and they said they would call when all parts had arrived, and the repair should take less than a month. His truck was in their shop for 7 MONTHS. Not only that.. part of the reason it took so long is because they parted out his truck for their other repairs. We then waited longer to receive the parts they had given away. After all that they didn't even align the tires and at only 4k miles, my husband now needs new tires. Again. DO NOT. I would give Anderson Ford zero stars, but that's not an option so the one star goes to Joe and Rachel because I truly feel bad for them! Their general manager, Robert, lost them not one...but TWO sales and I am mostly writing this review to save consumers their time and money and let Robert know that he owes Joe and Rachel an apology. Here is why.... My husband inquired a very similar 2020 Expedition to the one you see in my attached pictures that was located at Anderson Ford about two months ago. After speaking with Daniel, the used car sales manager maybe?, I decided to go test drive their Expedition. Joe "Too Tall" was the salesman that took me for my test drive and eventually was unable to get us any kind of deal. Initially he told my husband he could probably get me payoff for my 2018 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4x4 with a little under 26K miles, but they still couldn't get the price right on the YEAR OLD expedition. This weekend, which is about a month after test driving their 2020 Expedition, I drove up to Anderson Ford to see if they were ready to make a deal yet since the vehicle was still there and the 2021s were about to begin production. No test drive needed, we started the negotiation process which quickly came to a screeching halt because the GM was a hard no for giving me anymore than $32,500 for my 4Runner. KBB valued my vehicle for trade value at $35K and although I know that is not the bible, I know what 4Runners are worth, especially when gently used. I had never met car salesmen that were so unwilling to negotiate, so after leaving Anderson Ford I decided to go back and ask to speak directly to him. His demeanor was incredibly rude as the conversation continued and he suggested "[I] go to CarMax where they might give me what I want for my 4Runner" because he had two on his used car lot that hadn't had the doors opened to be seen in 60 days. I reminded Mr. GM that his 2020 Expedition had been on his lot for over a year seeings how it probably arrived in Sept 2019. He continued his condescending tone and my husband and I eventually left with absolutely NO intentions of ever coming back to Anderson Ford. Thank God he did not budge because I found an even better version of the 2020 Expedition in Athens, GA on Athens Ford's website that evening at 7:30pm. I called and spoke with Scott at Athens Ford and he gave me all the information I needed to know and offered to fill my tank up if I drove the 80 miles (one way) to see his 2020 Expedition and did not leave in it. Scott informed me that Athens Ford DOES NOT pack the internet price like Anderson Ford does. Anderson Ford packs the internet price to lure you in and then when you arrive they tell you that you do not actually qualify for that price because you probably do not qualify for all of the rebates. Anderson Ford also led us to believe we were getting rebates stacked for me being a nurse, my husband being a fireman and veteran, and my recent college graduation; however, Scott informed us that these rebates DO NOT stack and only one can be used. I realized how dishonest Anderson Ford truly is and I decided to drive the 80 miles one way to Athens to see Scott and their 2020 Expedition. Fast forward to my attached pictures, Scott got the deal done and Athens Ford gave me $3,000 more for my 4Runner, like I knew it was worth. My best advice is to steer clear of Anderson Ford and take the chance of driving 80 miles to Athens Ford and asking for Scott!!!! My husband plans to trade his 2018 F150 in for a newer one soon and I can guarantee you we will not even blink an eye at Anderson Ford's lot. Ps~ Robert, you probably cannot sale those 4Runners you have because you are rude...not because the 4Runners are unwanted or difficult to sale. ;) read more

I was very disappointed with the service department. This is the third time I have been disappointed. My expectations are greater that what was provided. The truck has 63000 miles. My premise is: "Do what it takes to get complete the job." However, in this case, barriers have been put in place to keep the technicians from completing the job. 1. I made an appointment a week and a half to two weeks out. 2. Arrived at the day and time. 3. Truck in on March 8. I called a week later. Not ready. Parts have been ordered. I waited another week. Called, service advisor " I'll check and call you back." Nothing. I went in several days later. Service advisor, "It will be ready Tuesday" March 28. Tuesday. No call from advisor. Wednesday March 29. I went to the service department and asked for my truck back. Front end work was allegedly completed. I paid $ 2327.97 Wheel sensor not in or installed. Sense the wheel sensor was the hold up, could it have been ordered from another source? Maybe NAPA? This is the second time I have had this issue with Ford. Previously it was a fuel filter for a 1988 diesel. They were in stock next door at NAPA. The third issue was at the Ford quick change. My Ford Ranger fell off the lift. My sons both had Ford trucks. One had computer issues that kept it in the shop for several months. Since it was coming out of warranty and there was no assurance that the new computer would be warranted. He immediately traded for another brand of truck. The other was appalled at the cost to repair his sun roof. He in like manner traded for another brand. The conclusion I have come to: the Ford Motor Company does not want or need our business. read more

First I would like to preface this review by advising you that we are full time rv'ers and our truck is not only our only means of transportation but also our tow vehicle.  On Friday Jul 31, our brake line went on the drivers front wheel, draining the master cylinder. We called Anderson Ford to see if they could receive our vehicle by tow company and expedite repairs because our F350 was our tow vehicle and we were broke down at the State Park. We were assured that while they may not be able to that day, they would definitely be able to evaluate and give us an estimate on Monday, August 3. We did receive a call Monday by Ashley of Anderson's stating that it was the brake line and that as long as the order was placed before 3:30pm, the part would be in the next day. That call was received at 2:51pm. We did ask at that time to be apprised of updates. On Tues, we received a call stating that the part had not come in yet but should be there Wed. Please be aware that we are currently still on a site at the State Park and are also paying for a rental vehicle. On Wed, we did not receive a call all morning so we called them about 2:30 pm to ask if our truck would be available for pick up that evening. We were then advised that the brake line had still not been delivered. That evening we did a Google review giving Anderson Ford a 2 star review. We received a call the next morning from Garrett, the Service Mgr. His call to us was not to advise us of the arrival of part but of his concern regarding our review. He stated that because of review he wasn't sure he wanted to work on our truck. BUT, if we changed the review, our truck would be ready by close if business. Since our rental was due back that day, we had no choice but to bow to his blackmail. The truck was repaired, we did change review, to one star. In a nutshell, nothing went well, and everything could have been improved. The "Check Engine" light came on in my 2018 Ford Expedition with about 19,000 miles on it, and I called Anderson Ford to set up an appointment to have it fixed, realizing that it would likely require 2 visits, one for diagnosis and a second to actually perform the repair if parts were needed. I set up the first appointment for February 27 and, after diagnosis, a purge valve was ordered. After the part was received, I set up a second appointment for March 9. On March 9, after approximately 90 minutes, I was informed that the Ford maintenance website was down (some information was apparently required from the site to perform the repairs), so I rescheduled for March 11. On March 11, I again returned to Anderson Ford, and after again waiting approximately 90 minutes, I was told the wrong part was ordered. Apparently, or at least I was told, there are 2 purge valves, and the wrong one was ordered. I left the vehicle with Anderson Ford overnight, and the part came in the next day, March 12, the purge valve was replaced and the "Check Engine" light extinguished. Several days later, the "Check Engine" light came back on. I again called Anderson Ford, set up an appointment, and brought the vehicle in for service on March 23. I was told the diagnosis would take about 45 minutes. After an hour and a half, I was then told the vehicle needed one more test, but that piece of test equipment was being used on another vehicle. After an additional 45 minutes, the service manager informed me that my vehicle had "too much fuel." I had never heard such a thing, but apparently the tests require that the vehicle be between 1/4 - 3/4 (25 - 75%) full, and my vehicle was 90% full. At this point, I raised my voice (not yelling) and asked if they did not know that this test (or tests) required a certain fuel level? I received a dismissive response along the lines of they didn't know until the test equipment told them. I asked if this was the first time they had performed such a test. I asked if this information was a state secret. I asked if they thought it appropriate to inform customers, in advance, that a certain fuel level might be required. The service manager turned his back and left the waiting area. I followed him to his office, again asking if this was a known requirement. At this point several things happened nearly simultaneously. First, I was threatened with having the police called. Second, as I was saying I would take the vehicle to another dealer, the service manager told me Anderson Ford would no longer service my vehicle. So to recap... 5 visits to Anderson Ford, and I still don't know what is wrong with the vehicle. Never again, and I encourage others to think twice before visiting this dealership. As a footnote, I called Lake Keowee Ford to set up an appointment. After telling the consultant/advisor that my "Check Engine" light was on, he closed the conversation by informing me that the test required that my vehicle have between 1/4 and 3/4 tank of gas. read more

I thought when you get a service check you that checking tire pressure was part of the inspection. Technician still did not put air in tire. Had to go down to tire discount for them to assist me. They completely changed the numbers and added the tax additionally once I was there. They deliberately hid this. Since I was putting 5000 cash down, they were able to hide the numbers and lie to me. Overall horrible experience and a waste of our time. Misleading representation of vehicles. Sales tactics to get us in the door. We drove 2 hours one way to see this truck. They had time to list every option the truck had including new tires. Apparently not important mentioning that the front bumper and grille were badly broken and the 2 huge dents on tailgate. (One dent had a large amount of paint missing). Easily $1,000 in damage. Also the entire truck was covered in dog hair inside and had not been cleaned. After an hour and a half of back and forth they would not budge on the price. They did however try to sell us 2 new trucks and also another used truck. The new trucks were "not much more". Which ended up being $6,000 more than what we told him we would spend. The manager refused to lower the price at all. Then told me it's still really cheap even with the damage. The truck was priced at book value in good condition with no damage. Where he got his numbers from that it was worth so much I do not know. So... I see why this dealership is rated so low now. Wish I had seen this first. let's start this with I live about 35 miles from this dealership. I never get to anderson. I talked to a lady and she told me the car I wanted was available and that was about 1 1/2 hour I got there. So upon my arrival, I was greeted by a salesman that spoke to me. Surprisedly. But the car was no where in sight. So I asked where it was. Reply was they didn't know. So he went and looked. He said it was in service and not drivable. So why would it be on the lot for sale if it wasn't drivable? I'm assuming that was a lie. I really don't know. And I said something about wasting my gas coming all this far And he said he would refill it, and then just walked away. I was soooo mad. AVOID this dishonest dealership! 5 weeks ago I bought a used Mercedes from them. They promised 3 items on the "WE OWE" form. After leaving the dealership I realized that I did not receive a copy of the form. So let me start out with I did not buy a Ford car from this dealer. I doing this review on very very poor customer service at the service department. First I have a 2019 Ford Taurus still under Bumper to bumper warranty. I had some issues that needed attention like the leather seat needed to be fastened down, the sunglasses holder was warped and the rt rear door needed to be adjusted. First they said they would not replace the warped sunglasses holder because it's cosmetic! Are you kidding me it's flipping warped, they said it was cosmetic and for that reason it was not warranty so basically bumper to bumper does not really mean bumper to bumper. Next I had to argue with her (Ashley Brooks) the service advisor to refasten the leather seat which she also did not want to do, but she finally gave in on the seat. Nest and final was the door. They said that any body adjustments are only covered under 12 months or 12 thousand miles, are you kidding me!! They sent me to a body shop nest to them and the guy gave me a runaround, basically saying if Ford will cover it he'll do it and wouldn't you know they will not cover it based on what she said. I called Ford and they said it was under the bumper to bumper warranty and they would call the dealer and straighten it out. Well the Ford lady came back and said that it was under 12 months or 12 mile warranty, so the dealer changed her tune. I called back the dealer and spoke with another service advisor and that Ashley was handling my case and they would call me back after they spoke to Ford. Well guess what? Still no call and a week as passed. A word to the wise ?either don't buy a Ford or get it serviced someplace else. Worst dealer ever!! read more

Took my vehicle to Anderson Ford service department and received excellent service! My service manager was professional, honest, and explained everything to me including what was wrong with my vehicle and price options. I really appreciate him taking his time explaining everything to me and having patience to answer all my questions. I will definitely be back for all my car needs and recommend them to my family and friends! read more
