    Americano and croissant
    Jose M.

Cute little spot in slo. Fresh and very European! The staff was great and helpful 5/5 stars. The Americano I had was fine, nothing special about it but a good cup of coffee. The croissant was actually really good. Not as light or airy but very good and you can taste the butter. Overall a great little spot. If you want a taste of Europe with your coffee then stop by. I'll be coming back for their jazz!

The prices on this place are an absolute joke. I doubt it will be open long. Looks nice inside, but weird vibes.

Very nice servers, drinks were good but tough to justify those prices. Will try the morning coffee offerings next.

Honestly it was the books that pulled us in. We were walking by after a long day of shopping and…read morethe woodsy, library vibes with the dark colors just drew us straight through the door. No regrets. We ordered drinks and fries to share and those fries were what I would call perfect fries. Crispy outside, soft inside, perfectly seasoned, and honestly so addicting. The sauce selection was elite and their house sauce is bomb. Simple order but it completely delivered. Our server was so sweet and made the whole stop feel really easy and welcome. The vibe in this place is immaculate. I would love to come back for a full evening and a proper meal because I can already tell I'd love it. But there's also something to be said for a spot this classy being just as enjoyable in the middle of a random afternoon. That's a good sign.

No that is not a sunburn in my picture, that is a really bad MCAS allergy reaction common - caused…read moreby my meal from feral. The swollen images are from my anaphylactic episode the night before of and the rotten tomatoe red is the next day when I have systemic inflammation with a number of ugly body wide symtoms. Now I'm not from the area, just passing through, at a hotel and safe food options are very limited. So I do my due diligence of course! I call ahead to ask about what I might order before hand. Gnochi with sage and cream sauce should be fine. Gyoza should be fine since the app says you can get the glaze on the side and nix the Kimchi. But I call to check just in case. * I ask the girl on the phone if the Gyoza sans Kimchi - is spicy or not. She said it wasn't spicy. I said - so without Kimchi, it's just a regular Gyoza? She said verbatim - yep it's just "regular gyoza". I said "great. So I will order that as soon as I'm off the phone then. " Got the food. - Well firstly - it is not just a regular Gyoza - even without the Kimchi it is spicy as hell! It is one of the spiciest things I have eatten and I only had one little bite. My mouth was on fire for 20 minutes. It definitely has a very very high level spice in the meat. And the glaze (which was not on the side) literally had red pepper flakes in it. So definitely not "regular gyoza". As for the gnocchi which became shells instead - the cream sage sauce was crazy. And I don't mean crazy fun. First it wasn't delicious. It was a bit bland but also weirdly a super strong sage flavor. I quickly realized it was...hurting? Not in my allergy way, but just - pain. After another bite I realized, they used not just sage the herb but sage oil. Cooking with Sage oil is controversial and should only be done by the best of the best, in precise and teensy measurements because you could burn or make someone sick It burned my throat. It recovered after a few days. But it hurt like a you know what till then. And luckily I realized what was going on (thanks to my essential oil knowledge) and stopped eating after just a few bites. What if I had eaten way more? I am guessing - no thanks to their grubhub page (which just presented as high end fusion food that was allergy friendly) and no thanks to the girl who answered the phones - that likely their restaurant theme is super intense flavors. But even so playing around with sage oil (when just half a drop too much can burn someone) is a bit too frickin feral. - or if you absolutely must use sage oil - list it, not only on the restaurant menu but on the apps as well. 5 stars absolutely not given. And before all the unepathetic, lucky people - who can eat whatever they want - ask "why would someone with all those allergies even try to order from a place like this". I was traveling. I didn't have many options. AND - i called ahead to check it was safe.

Service here was excellent, we were checked up on enough and our server gave great recommendations. Thanks to our server Talia D! We sat in a cute garden area with vines, plants, and fairy lights, very cozy like you're in a friend's well-decorated patio. They also gave us complementary bread before we received our meal, and a lot of the dishes were unique and plated well. I would come back if I'm ever in the area and would recommend this place to all my friends! All ratings below are averaged (from me and my bf): salmon bisque // 9.25 // very yummy and unique. my bf didn't think he'd like it -- he usually dislikes seafood -- but it was great!! creamy, clear salmon taste but no unpleasant fishy/ocean taste that a lot of seafood has. i've never had this anywhere else, props to the chef! thai green curry // 8.5 // my bf says it's a 9. it's good but i feel like it was not my fave, it's lowkey your good, standard green curry that you can get at any thai place duck breast (curry) // 8.75 // very delicious and unique, i'd rate the curry, rice, and duck breast as 9/10, the duck breast itself was a 10/10. the curry was creamy, and they were all delicious and fragrant, pairing well together. however, the mushrooms, carrots, and other veggies it came with are too sweet. they seem like they're glazed with a sauce that has too much sugar. the black rice was surprisingly very filling strawberry matcha trifle // 8 // yummy, nothing majorly wrong with it. reminds me of a strawberry matcha latte. matcha whipped cream was a nice, unique touch i haven't really seen elsewhere despite it not sounding difficult to make. i'd order it again but i feel like it's on the sweeter side, so you can't eat too much of it.

I ordered the filet medium but it was served more on the well side. I would not order this again. I also had two Lavender Linen cocktails that were great. My husband ordered the FRESH AVOCADO-SHRIMP SPRING ROLLS and the description was glass noodles, julienned vegetables, ginger soy and chili sauces, cilantro, mint, bell pepper garnish, roasted peanuts. He loved them. Normally, he eats spring rolls with peanut sauce but the sauces that accompanied the spring rolls were perfect. The outdoor setting is very romantic and not what you would expect from a downtown restaurant. We left at dusk but I'm sure it's spectacular at night. Service was spot-on. We were with a large party and our server was very accommodating; giving recommendations and double checking once items arrived that they were correct. I highly recommend trying the lavender linen cocktail and spring rolls if you're in the area.

Staff was very friendly and checked on us often. They were friendly and we definitely felt welcome. We ordered some drinks. Beer pricing was fair at $8 for draft craft beer. Interestingly, they have a setup for bocce ball. We didn't try any food. The only con was that the view was mostly the rooftops of nearby buildings. You could see the mountains.

On arrival, my service dog was heeling calmly and under full control while the bouncer spoke with us. Despite this, I was told I could not enter because the establishment downstairs had previously had "an incident" with a different service animal. Denying access based on a past experience with another dog is not lawful. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, service animals may only be excluded if that specific animal is out of control or not housebroken--neither of which applied here. My dog was behaving impeccably and performing their trained tasks. Loudness, past incidents, or personal assumptions are not valid reasons to refuse a service animal. This was not a misunderstanding--it was a refusal of access based on disability. I hope management educates their staff on ADA compliance so future disabled patrons are not treated this way. I will not be spending my money here and urge others to do the same based on their discriminatory behavior.

He said to me: "move or imma beat your ass." So I replied, I was just trying to get through but please don't because I'm just a girl." He replied, "Then look like it." Later on in the night he shoulder checked me, so, to defend myself, I shoved him. He bucked up on me and threatened security and a camera check. Tell me why I got kicked out??? I am a respectful person and I will always leave anywhere if asked to go. Why did the bouncer grab me and start shoving me out the door. He grabbed my INJURED arm. When I yelped, "ouch my arm is injured please let go, I am leaving." His response was "Don't fight back or I'll call the cops." Unacceptable. F*ck this place and the employees. I will NEVER be back and I will also discourage anyone from going by enlightening them on my AWFULLLLL experience. EDIT: What an unprofessional response, but not surprised after reading your responses to other patrons. Who the f*ck are you to tell me the extent of my injury?! Regardless of how big or small NOBODY would want their wound manhandled. There were people everywhere and I was walked towards the exit. You don't kick someone out of an establishment by grabbing and manhandling them. Your security just wants an excuse to put their hands on people and take advantage of their power. I did not shove multiple people so that claim is 100% false. Also never said I was an employee, nor would I ever want to work for you?? I shoved ONE person that shoulder checked me and threatened to beat me up for no reason. Show some professionalism in your responses to upset guests, it makes you look pathetic and childish. Do better, Rhianna.
