Neil was so sincere, honest and knowledgeable when talking to me about the many repairs my can needed. He organized and guided me with the order of importance to make sure I had a safe vehicle to drive! As a woman, its very easy to be taken advantage of however,I never once felt that he was trying to "get over on me" and just take my money! My first delt with a repair in relation to a loud noise from what I was explained was a bearing issue in the rear. Along with a new alignment and other services, the repairs were made at a very high cost. There was no noice and the car was in good shape. In a few months, the same exact noise returned. I returned it to Saf T Auto only to discover that the caliper was "frozen" and I needed more repairs that would cost $1,300 +. It was explained that the bearing was not the issue this time around. It was the caliper. I decided that alone should be fixed because I simply could not afford to pay the larger cost. I was assured the caliper replacement would fix the issue with the noise. After the repairs, I picked up my vehicle and drove off and immediately my alert AWD light came on. I returned back to the Saf T Auto where they fixed the alert light. After traveling less than two minutes, the same exact noise that was the issue to begin with returned. I contacted Neil. He said that the bearings will have to be changed after all. I refused to pay for additional services because the part was under warranty by Saf T Auto. Neil concede that it was and explained that it will be fixed at all cost in three more days. What troubled me the most was that the underlined issue of the noise conming from the rear was never repaired after I was assured that the caliper was the issue. And to insinuate that the bearings needed to be changed at an additional cost intially then to confirm that they were under warranty after I refused to pay the cost is severely suspect. No apologies we're given. No "we will repair as soon as possible." I was told it was safe to drive around with damaged bearings. Somehow, I believe that is not an accurate statement. I'd give no stars if I could to reflect this second visit.

I could've went to Shearer Honda where they even said they would've checked the tires and pressure for free and reset the TPMS light no charge. That's what a real business does because they aren't greedy. You want to talk about slander and vulgarity? As soon as you told your "employees" to stonewall me, you answered the phone screaming at me. It's your loss because I will never recommend your business to anyone and you reap what you sow. You seem to have a lot of bad reviews so I think you have a problem mentally.

He seemed annoyed when I asked him if the parts were OEM, there was no detail on the estimate, In this regard. I have driven BMWs for 20 years. So I just got a phone call from a very highly regarded Bmw mechanic in West Hartford, who is known for as honesty. He told me my brakes were 75% fine a little wire on the rotors on the front and a little less in the back, but nothing I had to address right away. Whereas Portland automotive told me I needed a complete thermostat sensor yada yada when they check the codes, this Mechanic and West Hartford said he would do less and then see what happens (instead of trying to gauge me.) what convinced me to get another opinion was reading the reviews on Portland automotive, which seems sketchy, especially by men who probably it appears to me no more about cars versus the women to think they're very nice. Well, I'm a woman, but I go with my gut instinct, and in this case, it told me to go elsewhere.

They insisted the put M. Defenders on. I never had that tire on my car and am certain that they put my tires on. So did I get charged for the defender and get a cheaper tire? I would be very careful to check the paper work against the tire before you leave. I will never trust them again. Buyer beware!
