When I got to the store there was an older gentleman at the counter working. He immediately seemed…read moreirritated that I was there. He Talked over me every time I tried to talk, not letting me complete one sentence. The best way I can put it is the definition of condescending in its truest form: Behavior or language showing a patronizing, superior attitude, where someone acts as if they are better, more intelligent, or more important than others.

Full disclosure - I grew up around the corner from Michael Press. But while we've known each other…read morefor decades, that only matters because its the reason I went to Mike for an engagement ring in the first place. However, it does not, for a moment, affect this review. Sometime a while back, I knew I was going to propose to my lovely fiance (spoilers! she said yes), and started shopping for a ring. Researched the important factors and started looking around, and while i found a lot of nice rings, nothing that really called to me. It was a frustrating process, culminating in buying what I thought would be the perfect ring online, only to return it. That was probably the lowest moment, and so I took a break in my ring shopping. Fast forward some months later, and I saw someone else from my hometown post photos on social media of a beautiful designer engagement ring from Mike Press, and so I reached out to Mike. I had no idea what I wanted, even after all that shopping, and couldn't have been more nervous. I didn't want to design a custom ring, because I have the imagination of a piece of wood, so I relied on Mike to ask the right questions and pick out a number of options. He was patient, detailed in his explanations of various rings and options, and came up with a number of beautiful suggestions. Nevertheless, I still could not make a decision. I was scared of completely screwing this up. I asked a million questions, then disappeared for weeks while I thought about it, only to come back and ask more questions. Mike never brushed me off or decided I wasn't going to be a sale - he just kept helping me along. In the end, not only did Mike find a beautiful diamond but he held it for me in spite of having other interested parties. Sent me photos, videos, descriptions, etc until I was finally able to pull the trigger. With the perfect diamond, he then suggested what ended up being the perfect setting to go with it. I was so trilled with what he put together that I wasn't even worried about whether or not Melissa would like it. Again, it was perfect. I wish I could find more good things to say. This was an incredibly stressful and nerve wracking process but Mike made it easy in the end. I was glad to give the business to someone I've known my whole life, but even still, was not expecting the kindness, patience, and helpfulness to the degree Mike provided. He bent over backwards to make this easy.

UNPROFESSIONAL/RUDE/SLOPPY. The woman running the sale literally PHYSICALLY HIT ME. She told me $50…read morefor a set of shelves. Then she priced up my other items off the top of her head (nothing was priced) and gave me my total price. As I was getting my cash out she goes "just for fun I am going to take a picture of the shelves to see how much they are worth." She sees they are valuable online and says she no longer can give them to me for the price we had agreed on. I asked for her name and the name of the company she worked for and she said "why, so you can leave a bad review?" Then she started taking pictures of me on her phone. She said "I will post your picture if you leave a review." I took my phone out to take a picture of her then in return and she HIT MY HAND AND WRIST HARD. I left as fast as I could and my elderly mother who was with me left behind me and they slammed the door on her heel. I reported her to the police. She also referred to her client, the person's home it was, as a hoarder and I could overhear her associates talking about someone who was having medical issues such as "anal bleeding." Which I didn't think was appropriate to talk about for customers to hear. I have never witnessed such unprofessionalism and wish I could leave 0 stars. She also gave out a fake name and I see a few bad reviews with names that she then comments and says "we don't have anyone with that name." Also, I see her unprofessionalism continues with her responses to her reviews. She tries to intimidate and insult people rather than comment something professional. STEER CLEAR clients and customers alike!!

I have never experienced an Estate Sale where the company hired treated customers in such an ill…read moremanner. Only a few items were priced and waited in line for 40 minutes to be given prices that were ridiculously overpriced. The comments being "how long would you wait at Walmart". Witnessed the estate sale company being very rude, loud and insulting. They are not professional at all. Hiring them to run a sale for you from what I saw would not be in your favor. Many customers walked out the door saying how rude these ladies were.

My father passed away and we put the house on the market and had an estate sale. The woman I met…read morewith Marta, said that she would be holding the sale. She seemed knowledgeable and I was comfortable with her. The realtor called and was alarmed that the lock box key had been taken. I was upset, called Marta, got no reply, and called Marcia. The 2 men that worked for Marcia took the key without permission. I asked what happened to Marta, the person I contracted with, and was told she quit. This was days before the sale and I found it to be unscrupulous that I wasn't informed. When hiring for a service contract, such as an estate sale, you are hiring a person based on their skill. I contracted with Marta, who told me she would be there every step of the way. I told Marcia she is not who I contracted with and I wanted the key returned. I told her I was not comfortable with her doing the sale. She said fine (she has no email to follow up with). Subsequently I was alerted that there were people in the house. I spoke with David, and according to David, Marcia must have forgot the conversation I had with her. I asked how they priced the items and they clearly had ZERO knowledge of antiques. I sent him comps that I found nlline in 5 minutes and thank God he changed the prices. If you are looking to pay someone to hold a garage sale, then they are fine. If you have any antiques that are valuable, stay away!!!! Also what they leave in the wake of the sale is horrifying. The realtor was shocked at the mess they left. I am thankful the realtor and photographer got the photos of the house prior to the mess they left.

I didn't have to worry about anything! This was not a small task as each room of the house, including the basement, garage, and shed were stuffed full of years and years worth of items. Even more, because I do not live in Ohio, Marcia kept in constant communication letting me know how the cleanout and tag sale were going. After the sale I promptly received a statement, check, and an accounting of sales along with the sales books showing the sale of each item. I highly recommend Marcia Zarembka!
