I tried to get a key fob cut for my 2020 F-150 because I had lost one of my originals. I had one cut there before for the same truck without a problem so I would have a spare, which was not an OEM Ford key fob but one I got from Amazon for a third/quarter of the price - and it worked fine. I was able to program it myself easily as well. But when I returned a month later to get another one cut b/c I had lost that original, they didn't want to do it. They said they had problems with cutting non-genuine Ford ones as it would supposedly destroy the key. I told them I would take the chance and sign a waiver but they refused still. (You can buy new standalone replacement keys for the key fob on Amazon as well). So I had to drive down to Kunes Country Ford in Sterling where they cut two key fobs without a problem. I programmed both of them myself and they work great. The reason I have extra is because you need two working key fobs to program a third, so I prefer to always have at least 3 in case I lose one. So I will not be using RRF for any future business. I'll drive instead to Sterling where I also got my oil change done. Seems RRF just wants to sell you a key fob for $130+ instead. Of course when I got home from Sterling, I found that original key fob I had lost. So now I have 5 key fobs for my truck, costing less than $150 for those 3 extra including key cutting and self-programming. read more

I'm no longer wish to do business with this place. When I do purchase my new Ford it WON'T be from Rock River Ford. Your sales team can thank the service department for That! My wife and I brought our Crown Victoria in for the LCM (Lighting Control Module) recall. The symptoms of a bad lighting control module include loss of headlamps, brake lamps, tail lights, cornering lamps and turn signals. What the dealership recall involves is bypassing certain elements of the LCM, to ensure proper functioning exterior and interior lighting. The issue is some lcms need to be replaced all together, which is, part of the recall. With the nature of the issue established and many procedures on how to safely correct the issue, we drop the car off at the dealership for the repair. Well, the mechanic who did the work did a sloppy job. Wires are dangling loose from underneath the steering column and obstructing use of the brake and gas pedal. They must have just turned on the headlights and only looked at the front of the car and sent it. As a result we lose headlight function occasionally, turn signal function and side marker lamps as well. And at night if we try to use the lights the brake lights refuse to come on, including the third brake light which is extremely concerning. It's no longer safe to drive at night, and it's less safe to drive at night than the car ever has been. We only brought the car back three thousand miles later because my wife and I work a lot and I'm very busy schedules. Bringing it back was this serious issue however, the local mechanic there was on her side and he says that he was willing to repair it but it was four words the end of his shift. The dealership now wants to charge us $400 to repair this part and it's quite aggravating, because with this rats nest of loose wires he left underneath the dashboard I can't even guarantee replacing the LCM will fix the issue. My car was basically 'molested' and they refuse to do the Christian thing and fix it. We called corporate and they said it's up to their mechanic to decide if our grievances are related to the LCM recall. After working a 70 Hour Work Week, I get a call from Don Murray over at Rock River Ford, claims to be the service manager. He claimed that that day he spoke the corporate and that it was neither the the Ford Motor Company's fault nor the dealerships fault that the issue is not fixed. Such blatant deception combined with them constantly trying to shrug this issue off is quite aggravating. I felt like I was talking to a robot instead of an actual human being. As if he was only reading off of a script that he has memorized throughout the years oh, I'm quite frustrated and my only hope is for them to repair the issue for us, if they're not willing to do that well I guess I'll take my business elsewhere, for it's not just Rock River Ford that is standard reputation but also any dealership that's part of Anderson's. Darrell had great customer service would have given a 5 but since my last visit in 2018 they had my phone number wrong which I had gave them to correct last time and he asked me for it today and when I called them to check if my car was ready they stated they had left me a message???? When I arrived to pick up my car the cashier guy 1st of all had no customer service or personality. I also told him my phone number was incorrect again gave him my number so I hope for my 3rd visit its corrected. We took a lease for a car from them and when we wanted to trade out early they treated us like were some kind of leper. They told us when we got the car that any un-used miles on the lease that we could get a credit, but when the time come, they would not even consider us to trade up in a newer car. Anderson rock river Ford is the worst service department you could possibly take your vehicle to. The first time I took my vehicle there was for a transmission flush where I watch the guy empty the transmission put new fluid in. Even I know that the process for a transmission flush on my vehicle requires you to drain the fluid filled with fresh fluid, cycle the engine up to warming temperature with the transmission in neutral or drive around the parking lot,place the vehicle back on the rack and drain and refill with fresh fluid again. Very shady... The next time I took my vehicle in to Anderson for service on the ABS system I told them what was wrong with it and to check that first. When I went to pick up my vehicle they told me they spent two hours basically doing nothing and lied about repairing a pin on the 4 x 4 module, when I told them that I was going to look for the wire they said originally that they repaired. Very shady. So I picked up my vehicle they charge me 260 bucks telling me they were tracing wires and it ended up being the ABS sensor that I told him it was in the first place. They told me it would be 260 for the diagnosis and 198 for the repair part. I pay the 260 because I had no choice and told him I would change the ABS sensor myself I can get it at AutoZone for 125 and it takes five minutes to put on. read more

So...I needed my sunroof repaired. It's tougher than you'd think to find a place that does that, and knowing that I still say I'll never go here again!! Did they do the repair? Yes. Was the price reasonable. Yes. If they'd stopped there, they would have gotten 4 stars...but they didn't. They repaired the sunroof, but they tore up my interior trim. In and of itself, that's a minor issue. Here's my beef - the person who worked on my car is a LIAR. Instead of owning up to tearing up my interior trim...and making an attempt to fix it, he went to the person I presume is the body shop manager and made a point of telling him it was already broken/torn up. Seriously? You think I don't know what the interior of my car looks like? You think I don't know if something is broken? I'm flabbergasted at the balls on this guy. So - I talk to the manager, tell him I'd like it repaired...and that I'd like it done by someone that can do a good job because I know if I try to do it, it will look bad. So, the manager himself goes out to "fix" my trim. Holy flying f*ck balls Batman! Worst repair EVER!!! I could have done it better with my eyes closed. I am appalled at the nerve they have to tear up my car and tell a bald-faced lie about it...and then when they're caught in their big fat lie, they don't even give the courtesy of having someone competent make the repair. I just purchased a new car from here in the last couple of weeks. I will not do so again. I paid for an extra add on that I new the salesman would get a bit of commission on I like our salesman we used him in the past so I said sure why not. Well I got my brand new car delivered to me since it was not ready on Monday or Tuesday in the rain it was delivered to me at work. I noticed a scratch on the inside of the drivers door. I was in a hurry to get back in to work and was not really sure if that was what I was seeing. I took the car right away to the dealership and was told there was nothing they could do, well this was not there before when I test drove the car so it could have only came from the detail shop. I was pissed I told the salesman who tried to fix but really was telling me there is nothing he could do he took it to the back to try and rub it out still there. I came home and noticed when I got that the door on the driver passenger side had a scratch on it. So I waited until they sent the survey and I filled it out and let them know that I am not happy. I get a call from the salesman that claims he wants to make this right well I was at work and not able to talk. I have called back and low and behold no one calls me back. This is what you get when you spend 30K+ for care and service? Really I paid extra for the Lux Care what a bunch of crap. They damage a car I had not even taken home in their detail shop.
