Went here for a family dinner based on some recommendations. We got there around 5:00 and it wasn't busy yet for a Friday. Seated immediately. Service started good. We placed our order with our drinks because our 2 year old was with us and you know how that is. Our appetizer was the freshly baked bread. Nothing special. No marinara sauce came with it. Would not order again. An hour goes by and we flag down our server to ask where our two wood-fired pizzas were. We noticed that it had gotten busier but all the tables around us had already gotten their food. She went to go check in the kitchen and came back almost 20 minutes later to say they just put it in. She quickly turned around to leave but my husband said " they just put it in? How long does it take to cook?" She said "5 minutes" At this point it was clear she forgot to put in the order. Instead she gave us two separate excuses. Didn't even enjoy the pizza when we got it because we had to pack it up and leave. We had to ask for a comp. I have been coming here for 7 years and each time I stop in I have the best time. From the waitstaff to the bartenders to everyone else between. The service here is always on point and everyone is so nice. I typically will sit up at the bar and enjoy catching up with the bartenders. Patrick I believe has been there since I started coming in there back in 2017. When I was there this past Saturday he recognized me and it was so nice to catch up. Jeff is no longer there but when Jeff and Patrick would man the bar it was always a fun time! Every bartender they have there is always so personable and makes you feel like part of the family. Their food is always so delicious and never misses a beat even since I started coming there. I'm a sucker for deep dish and I will say this is the best deep dish I've had in the cities before. Their wood fired pizzas are always so good as well if deep dish isn't your jam. Their pasta dishes are always good too. Their Sicilian salad is so good and pairs well with a wrigley deep dish. Tiramisu is always a must for dessert as well! I love coming here whenever I am in the area and or needing some deep dish pizza! Can't recommend pezzos enough! This past Saturday my buddy and I stopped in and I had no idea they had a grand reopening. Previous owners had purchased them so they were have a celebration. It was busy but my buddy and I did snag a couple spots at the bar after waiting for about 20ish mins. Patrick did notice us waiting and we grabbed a drink while we waited. Had an amazing meal here ! I've been wanting to try a deep dish pizza and this place came up and decided to give it a try. We came here at like 5 and knew that it would take about 50ish minutes for the pizza to be done so we ordered a salad first. The portion of the salad was pretty big for 2 people and the flavor was really great! It wasn't long after the deep dish pizza came and it was served to us. The crust was sooooooo crispy and flavorful. The bottom of the pizza wasn't soggy at all and it held up to the sauce. We had their in house sausage, pizza, sun dried tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese. I definitely wasn't able to finish it but it's great for leftovers. Service was great and the ambience was nice. They do have outdoor seating if you want to enjoy the outside weather. This is the second time I've been here and I really enjoy their pizzas. I've had a white sauce pizza from here that was just devine. We (trio of gals) headed here after a rained out baseball game. We were cold, wet and didn't want to head home quite so early. The friend I was with recommended this place. Walking in, we were greeted and quickly sat at the back of the restaurant (window looking out onto Hwy 61) in a booth. They didn't have hot chocolate so we shared a French press coffee. I added a shot of Kahlua, sis ordered Bailey's. I never order dessert when dining out. And i wasn't hungry for a full meal. So dessert it is, especially when I saw cannolis on the menu. Sis went with tiramusu. Friend ordered the cheese dip. She had ordered it previously and fell in love with it. You can even get an extra half loaf of bread if you run out before the cheese is gone. A really cute place with really good pizza! My bf and I decided to share an appetizer and pizza together so we got the cipollini mascarpone cheese dip for our shareable and it was divine. You also get more complimentary bread so we got more since you get soo much cheese dip. For the pizza we got the paisano, which is a pizza with pepperoni and Italian sausage. The pizza was extremely good and almost too much food for us but we managed to finish (: The waitress was so nice and extremely helpful throughout our entire experience, making conversation with everyone she served. We love Pezzo. The food was so good, as always. We were celebrating our son's BD along with his kids, as we do every year. Our service was not the best we have had, however, our server was so kind & friendly when we did see her. We were never checked up on after ordering our food/drinks. I had to finally wave her over to get another drink. The 4 kids/teens were never asked if they wanted a refill on their pop or the 3 adults on our beverages. We then waved her back to see if they had a BD perk. Of course, they have cannoli. We said we would love that. We then didn't see her again. She came back to give us our tab & I said we never got the cannoli. She apologized and brought some back to us. She then said she added it to our bill. She said she could go back & redo our bill or give us credit. I told her, whatever, was easiest for her. She said she could give us a $10 gift card for a future visit would be the easiest. That was fine with us. Overall, the food was so good & we enjoyed our food/visit. We will be back to use that gift card! I am sure this was a new server or someone just having an off night. Great atmosphere! Peaceful low lighting, modern and clean. We happened to be in the areas to pick up a few things and this place cay eye. The kiddo and I were hungry and, well, it was Friday fun night! The kiddos taste buds are more standard American than mine so we went with Caesar salad and pepperoni & sausage pizza. And ended with 1 scoop of vanilla and pistachio gelato. After ordering, our awesome server brought out a plate with a ball of dough for my son to play with! Coolest kid thing a restaurant could give a kid!! he will probably never be content with a standard restaurant issued crayons and paper again! I could probably go on and on about how awesome that ball of pizza dough was. It totally killed time, waiting for the food and distract us from our hunger. Even I had fun playing with it. And of course, he asked to take it home in which a container, was provided at the end. The staff is great. He helped us narrow down to a regular crust versus deep dish. (And he brought us that dough ball!!!) despite how busy the place seemed, he was on point with checking on us and brought things out quickly.. The Caesar salad was a bit lackluster for me. It had some brown leaves in it, which I'm a little bit squeamish about. And just wasn't as flavorful as some housemaid. Caesar dressings I've had elsewhere. It did have incredibly long shaved Parmesan cheese pieces though and my seven year old said it was the best salad he's ever had. The pizza was decent. The pepperoni was perfectly crisp and juicy. And the bits of fresh basil on top helped my more gourmet taste buds enjoy playing on pepperoni and sausage pizza all the more. Being that it's woodfired pizza, it's a given that some of the crust would be charred. Which is OK with me. I'm an oddball that likes a the flavor of things being a little burnt sometimes. Entree: Tedesca pizza ($17) with added white mushrooms ($1). Crust is really thin, which lets the white sauce shine. The coal fired crust gives It a home grilled flavor without making the crust too crispy or too flimsy. (see photo) The sauce is a delicate Alfredo style. The homemade sausage is a typical Italian sausage and the white mushrooms (added) are nicely firm with a delicate non-overpowering taste. The restaurant was about 1/4 full, but I was seated in a booth, back by the kitchen door, which seems isolated. Easy to forget somebody back here (see photo). The entire pizza is not evenly covered (photo), so I'm taking away a 1/3 star. Dessert: Cannoli ($3). The Cannoli was about 5" long and 1" wide. The ends were dipped into small chocolate chips and the cannoli was lightly dusted with powdered sugar and chocolate powder. Sadly, the interior cream was somewhat "stretchy", so it's lacking some cream components. Another 1/3 star deduction. Service: After the time of "I'll give you a minute". About 10 minutes passed. Not too bad, but I was concerned I had been forgotten sitting back near the kitchen. 1/3 star reduction. Ambiance: Large, open place with a patio too. Does not feel crowded and the decor is pale yellows, white, and brown panels with industrial ceilings. Overall: Unique pizza choices with quality ingredients. I'd pass on the Cannoli, but the pizza is a better choice than any chain pizza joints. RECOMMENDED. read more

Our first visit here this year. It's one of our favorite pizzas in the Twin Cities area. On a Friday night, it was quite busy. We got lucky and found 4 stools at the bar while we waited. Our wait ended up being much shorter than originally estimated. We started with a Caprese salad. It was good but all said they would like a bit thicker cut tomatoes and mozzarella cheese slices. Deep dish pizza was very good. They do a great job of crisping up the deep dish crust without drying it out. Lots of toppings and cheese. Great dinner as usual. read more

Here's the positive: the service here is fantastic. Our server was extremely attentive to our needs. I appreciated how prompt she was with her actions. Also, she offered dough balls for our 3 kids to play with. I've never seen this before, but I thought it was really cool! It's real dough, not a synthetic toy (must be scraps from their pizza; we were warned not to eat it). It can be pretty messy, but wipes were included. The food here was below average. The salad was basic. However, you got A LOT of it. It could feed a whole table, so I suppose it was a decent value. Their "Caccio de Pepe" (did they spell it wrong on their menu - Cacio e pepe?) was not representative of the traditional dish. There wasn't really a sauce at all. It was overcooked noodles, with a little pecorino sprinkled on top, and black pepper on top of that. Hardly worth the money considering I could make the exact same thing at home for $2-3 (for a pound of pasta). The pizza was the best thing I ate. We ordered the margarita pizza. The crust was cooked well with some blistered black spots on the bottom. However, I didn't really care for the big slices of tomato on top bathing in the tomato sauce. It seemed redundant. Too much tomato for me and not enough mozzarella and basil. If convenient, not a bad place to visit, but don't order the pasta and stick with the pizza. read more

Food is never ready at the pick up time they give you. Not even close. Sandwich was dry and missing the au jus - kind of a big part of the meal. Food is typically good, service and friendly-ness is almost always a miss. At those prices, there are plenty of better options in the area that won't leave you feeling frustrated. read more

We were enthusiastic because there was a line to get in and the restaurant was nice. The service was good, but the food was just okay. For the prices they charge, we were shocked that they served grated Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper in packets as if we ordered takeout. Come on; you're charging $30 for a pizza; maybe serve with fresh grated cheese and a shaker of crushed red pepper??? read more

My family loves this place! We go there once to twice and month. I highly recommend it! The pizza, salad and meatballs are our favorite!

Good food, friendly service, but can be a bit slow at times. First, the food. If you only choose one appetizer, get the cippolini dip. It is ny favorite thing on the menu. Cippoline onions wirh mascarpone cheese fired under the flames. The oven fired pizzas are delicious. They are more neopolitan style with a thin, chewy crust. They do a build your own but also have some selections to choose from. I enjoy a BYO but I also enjoy the Pera (a Blanco with figs, pears, balsamic). They also serve deep dish if that's your thing. Have a nice selection of local beer and wine an a rotating seasonal cocktail menu. Dessert options are a little boring. Ok, the service. Staff are friendly, but holy cow, it can be really slow here sometimes. I swear if people are ordering deep dish, they hold all the regular pizzas until those are cooked. I cannot see why appetizers take over a half hour to receive. If you don't mind the waiting, the food is good. read more

Was excited to stop by here after the Apple Orchard but keep in mind they open at 4pm. We ended up waiting around White Bear Lake for couple of hours but it was worth the wait. Patio seating, yes! Great coal fired pizzas! We ordered the Carne and it was delicious, the sauce, the meat, just everything. The Tedesca wasn't as great. It just seemed like they forgot the white sauce on the pizza, or it was lacking in flavor. The artichoke dip was bomb! One of the best artichoke dip I've had. The focaccia was soft and delicious. We wanted more bread with the dip, but hesitated to ask. Do yourself a favor and ask for more. Our waitress told us they would've given more for free. We debated between that and the mascarpone cheese dip but decided on the artichoke via our waitress's recommendation. Get that! Will definitely come back and try their deep dish! read more

It took me a lot of years to come back but it was a lazy Saturday so we stopped by. The food was awesome! The waitress was even more awesome!!! Our table had a deep dish pizza, a coal fired pizza and an appetizer of focaccia bread with the most amazing balsamic and oil! We were warned it would take 45 minutes for the r deep dish pizza. We had a toddler with us so the waitress brought some raw pizza dough to the table for the baby to play with. It was a total hit! I plan to return. We were treated so well and the food was excellent! This was my first time here and it was a great experience! We sat on the patio, a lovely little hidden area with plenty of tables and shade. Marketfest was going on across the street so we were treated to some live music as well. The service was great! We ordered the caprese salad and some beers to start. Skip the caprese! It was dry and flavorless, it needed olive oil or something- I've had much better. We also ordered the deep dish Lincoln park pizza which was better than expected. I'm usually not a deep dish person but the crust was crispy and there was plenty of cheese and veggies to create a deliciously fresh bite. Yum!
