I called and was thrilled to find out my favorite hygienist Deanne was still there as well as all my dental records! She introduced me to Dr. Nadine and I knew I had found my new dentist. I ended up having gum line issues/bleeding/ and color mismatch from my prior crowns and 3 years after the procedure I ended up back in Dr. Michaelson's office. Once I decided to move forward with my crown revision, he was very honest and straightforward with how I could best achieve the look I wanted, what my future with the crowns looked like, and timeline. They were also up front and transparent with pricing. Even though they are on the higher end price wise, the lab they used did an amazing job to match the color and it has now been over a year and my teeth have held up nicely. I was also very nervous for how long the temporaries needed to be on because of how bad temps have been in the past but these temporaries were not bad at all. For general dental visits: all of my cleanings were awesome/pain free and you could tell that they knew how to be careful with maintaining integrity of any dental work. Only experience that I feel like could be improved upon was X-Ray process. I have never been that uncomfortable from just getting dental images but they also got the most in depth photos I've ever had done so that could be why. Lastly, they always tried to accommodate my schedule and fit me in when they could. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Michaelson and his team. If I did not move I would still be going for my annual exams and any additional work.

I have been a patient of Dr. Castro for nearly nine years and was always satisfied with the care I…read morereceived until recently. Unfortunately, over the past couple of years my experience has changed significantly, and after my most recent visit I have decided to seek care elsewhere. About a year and a half ago, I was told I needed a dental implant and received a quote from Dr. Castro's office that was extremely high. After getting a second opinion, I had the same implant completed by another dentist for $3,000 less. During that visit, the dentist also identified an infection in my upper right tooth. Six months later, during a routine cleaning with Dr. Castro, I asked him to check that area and was told everything looked fine. However, at my most recent visit two weeks ago, I was advised to get veneers on my four front teeth and whiten the rest of my teeth. I was also told the office would bill my insurance for crowns instead of veneers so that part of the cost would be covered, which raised serious concerns. Because of these red flags, I returned to the other dentist for another evaluation. I was told I do not need veneers and that whitening would be a more appropriate option. Additionally, the infection in my upper right tooth is still present and will likely require a root canal. Since it may have gone untreated for over a year, there is now a risk the tooth could need to be removed. In addition, the atmosphere in the office has changed noticeably. While the staff is friendly, the frequent loud chatter and laughter create an unprofessional environment that was not present years ago. It is disappointing to see such a decline after so many years as a loyal patient. Between the pricing differences, questionable treatment recommendations, and concerns about quality of care, I no longer feel comfortable continuing treatment at this practice.

Ms. Ana, the office manager, always greets me with a beautiful smile, checks on my appointments, and truly makes every patient feel comfortable from the moment they walk in. Marilena, the hygienist, is beyond amazing. I have honestly never experienced a hygienist like her before. She is incredibly detailed, caring, and professional. The work she did for me made me feel like I have a brand new mouth. That is how amazing she truly is. And Dr. Aristy is simply incredible. Her hands are magical. I had a filling done today, and she made the entire experience painless and comfortable. Her professionalism, kindness, and talent are unmatched. I just want to express my gratitude for finally finding what I truly believe is the best dental office in the entire state of Florida. They do not deserve only five stars -- they deserve far more than that. In my opinion, they should be ranked number one in the world. Thank you all for your amazing care and dedication!

I called on Monday because I had been experiencing gum pain and wanted to be seen. I was told I would be referred to the oral surgeon as in a previous visit I was told I needed my wisdom tooth pulled. She refused to see me after suffering 3 days of pain and no sleep. I called to schedule an appointment with the oral surgeon and they don't even take my insurance. So I made an appointment with the urgent care office and they gave me antibiotics. So I called today to see if she would please squeeze me in as today makes day 7. I was told again she couldn't do anything as she believed it was my wisdom tooth and wouldn't be able to see me. After pleading and having to over talk her to explain that the pain was nowhere near my wisdom tooth she finally decided to schedule me but told me she wouldn't be able to do anything about it. This is unacceptable. I am 8 months pregnant and never thought I would have this experience from a doctor. Doctors have to learn to take black pregnant mothers more serious across the board. It's not just a medical provider issue.

From appointment reminders (calls, texts & emails to make sure you don't forget) to appointment accommodations, the staff is reliable, consistent and most importantly-- they are welcoming. If they can get me an earlier appointment, it's done! The dental treatments are top tier-- my teeth have never looked or felt better. I just finished my Invisalign and wow-- "El Jefe" (Dr. Chapkis) is clearly an outstanding leader because his team of staff, techs, hygienists, and other dentists are some of the most synchronized and synergized people I've met-- I want to work here it's so awesome! This post is long overdue, so I wanted to let everyone who reads this review know who the best dental team is in Orlando! My teeth are super important to me and the staff immediately understood my needs-- in this day and age, where are we able to find such talent and professionalism?? It has been a blessing to be a patient-- thank you all! I'll see you soon for my next cleaning and looking for my appreminder, Lee Ann (sp?)!

As a registered nurse who works long hours in procedures and has a tight schedule due to being on call, it is very challenging to make the time to care for my own health. I called and made an appointment to establish care with Dr. Chapkis. At first, I was told I could wait to see him after my cleaning. Then, I was told he was too busy to see me, but I could see someone else. Finally, I just made the decision to leave when I was told I would be seen by Dr. Chapkis at my next visit (so, maybe in six months???), a statement not guaranteed, because if he has higher-paying customers, like those needing crowns, your first visit and cleaning are not a priority. I want everyone to understand that your time matters and you, as an individual, matter even more. No one can force you to see a doctor or dentist you did not choose. Imagine if I told my patients on the day of the procedure that their surgeon would be someone else and that was their only choice? I am my patients' greatest advocate, and you always have a choice. When you are made to feel like your time doesn't matter or you don't matter, do what is right for you. Tomorrow, I will get up at 5 a.m. to serve my patients, and I pray that I never make a single one of these lives I serve feel like their care is not my top priority.
