1/26/24 - I got a ring from a company that had a loose black diamond on it. I immediately took a picture of the ring and emailed it to the company to inform them of this. In the meantime, I looked for a local company that could place the black diamond in it and fix it real quick for me. I brought the ring to Andre's to place a black diamond back in a ring that had fallen out. He gave me a good deal and it was done within 30 minutes of getting it. I inspected it, only looking at the black diamond (that are easily visible) and left. Unbeknownst to me, just realizing this now (2/3/24), there are TWO white diamonds missing from the ring. I didn't wear the ring during the work week, and luckily I had TIME STAMPED photos from that day I brought it to his shop. Both photos showing the company that there was a problem with the ring, and that I had fixed it. The first photo CLEARLY shows that ONLY the black diamond was missing, and after going from Andre's to my home (7 minute drive) the 2nd photo shows the black diamond is fixed but TWO WHITE DIAMONDS are missing. I called them and he got very defensive and I pointed out the fact I have photo proof of it (time stamped photos) that right after you fixed this 2 white diamonds are missing and he said "You acknowledged everything looked good" being extremely disrespectful and not trying to solve the issue. At the shop, I was fixated on and inspecting the BLACK diamond that he was fixing, the reason I brought it there. Not the tiny hard to see white diamonds that can barely be seen to the naked eye. The white diamonds and silver are very hard to see. (1.5mm diamonds) Regardless, he STOLE or LOST TWO white diamonds from my ring, and is denying it. The problem with that is I HAVE time stamped photos proving my case. So basically I paid him to place 1 black diamond back in my ring, but he lost/stole 2 white diamonds. THE PROOF IS ATTACHED BELOW! You can't argue facts, photo evidence, and time stamps. I have receipts as well for when I picked the ring up. TIMELINE OF EVENTS: - First picture taken (1 black diamond missing): 11:28am - Dropped off at store: 12:15pm - Paid for service, and left store: 12:56pm - 2nd Picture taken (2 white diamonds missing): 1:08pm He's claiming that within 12 minutes of leaving his store, I'm the one who lost the 2 white diamonds from my ring. Extremely rude and unprofessional. I'm from the Midwest and have been vacationing in California. I had initially walked in with the intention of looking at and possibly purchasing some men's bracelets. They had very little inventory out on display which suprised me so I asked them about their products and learned that they mainly sell women's jewelry which still interested me as my girlfriend loves jewelry and I had about $10k in spending money in the car. There was a man and a woman in the store so I curiously asked who made their custom jewelry in an effort to start some small talk; call it midwestern courtesy. The woman replied with a very snarky "Does it matter?" I was taken aback but tried to maintain conversation anyways. Upon learning that the man was responsible for the construction the jewelry, I asked the woman if that made her the "business-woman" and I even threw in a little smile because I was trying to be polite and didn't want to sound degrading. She, with a more aggressive tone than before, asked why I was "interrogating" her. She then said that I should probably leave as she claimed to have more important work to attend to but when I left all she did was sit down and look at her phone as she was when I first entered the store. While I was leaving, the woman said "you have a nice day" with a blatant undertone of aggression and insincerity. She made it very clear that I wasn't welcome in their shop. While waiting in the car, the man and woman both starred at me until eventually the man got up and stood in the doorway of the shop with his arms crossed and glared at me until I left. It hurts me to read all of the positive reviews about how nice these two were and I can't help but wonder why I wasn't treated with the same respect as other customers. Either way, this is not a business that I am comfortable giving my money to and I would strongly encourage other potential customers to take their business to a place where they are truly respected and appreciated. read more

Went to this location twice, first time to inquire if they purchased platinum. They weren't totally rude but were not exactly customer friendly, I seemed to have bothered them in their own conversation. They would not give me a estimated price of what they would give me for my platinum ring, even though it's a plain band and I know the exact weight. ( no point in exaggerating about the weight since I knew they would weight it again) So today, a couple of weeks later I finally remember to bring my ring, it's 5:03pm and their lights are half off and display cases emptied. At first I thought they were closed, then I saw people inside. I double checked their working hours and it says they close at 530pm on Saturdays. They same man and woman there are there, the woman opens the security door and asks the man if they are open and if he is willing to help me. I can understand if it was 5 minutes to closing but almost a full half hour!? The guy gives the woman and me attitude again like I'm bothering him and waves his hands we're closed. This being the second time of their less than friendly attitude I just walked off. Here is the kicker, I went to the nearby trader joes to grab a few things, come back out (I'm parked in front of the store, since that was my first intended stop) and there is a lady inside that they are helping and bringing out jewelry to.... What the F? Really?! Now if they were truly tired and just wanted to ditch out early I can understand... But just seeing that sealed the deal to this complaint... This is why mom and pop shops tend to go out of business. Sad to say here is another written nail in the coffin . Much better shops out there dying for business. Yelp for a better one! read more

In three transactions over this year of 2013, Andre has taken time over and above what other retailers (especially high volume, lots of discount advertising) jewelers will spend in making sure customers are well cared for. This includes being patient, offering suggestions, and even some education in fine jewels and designs to those of us less knowledgeable. I originally went to Liberty Diamonds in Irvine to get my ring resized (down). Liberty told me it was nearly impossible to resize the ring because of how it was made (read my review on Liberty for more details). So I was referred to Andre and Eliz by one of my good friends. Andre and Eliz are super friendly, helpful people. Once Andre took a look at my ring, he said that there would be no issue resizing the ring and he couldn't understand why Liberty told me they couldn't size it (I have about 3-4cm of extra material on the back of the ring FOR sizing purposes, too!!). Andre resized it, and all the issues Liberty claimed might/would happen to the diamonds on my ring? No issues at all. Andre does everything himself, and my ring turned out just fine...PERFECT if you ask me. He also polished/cleaned my ring and did an even better job than Liberty. Liberty charged me $95 for the mediocre ring cleaning, and Andre charged $100 for resizing AND cleaning. Plus, he made sure my stones were all set fine and the three stones were no longer moving around. I'm BEYOND happy that my ring was resized and it's all thanks to Andre. I told them what I wanted and they designed a beautiful ring using the stone from my mom's ring. It is original and beautiful and I was able to share it with my mom before she passed. Last response to BBB....Andre is correct, it was a very expensive purchase, we gave 2 rings that he gave $4000.00 in credit and as the recipe stated that was provided to Attorney General $2000.00 in cash paid not tax for a $7000.00 dollar ring... We provided a center dimond and had ring resized which is a common alteration in a jewlery store... As the recipt states exchanges will be done within 30 days with pleasure? No cash refunds... Nothing else is stated about resizing as being an as is purchase? My bride and I went to Tustin mini jewlery mart and Anthony from Tustin Dimond exchange worked with us and we are both happy... Learned never use cash get all in writing and do not buy with emotions as you will loose a friend and trusted retailer... We will move on from here and forgive Andre, life is lessons and marriage is a blessing that I am sure we will have to overcome more adversaties , as this will make our marriage strong!
