I can't say for what he sells but even other Jewelers recommend him for repair work that they cannot do. I had my 2 rings repaired, wedding and anniversary, which had issues. My solitaire had a slice in the gold right by the bezel. He added a little extra gold to strengthen it. My anniversary ring (see before and after pics) was brought to original glory! The original had beveled prongs, 2 to each stone which was what I loved about this ring. But it wasn't very secure and several years later, a prong gave way and one of the stones fell out. I took it to a Jeweler in Brea, highly rated, but they said all they can do was to secure the prongs by a ball. Not knowing what that would do to the feel and the esthetic of the ring, I agreed but upon return, I disliked it so much that I hardly wore it. But Tom brought it to its original glory! He pressed and split the prongs to better secure the stones AND there are no awful knots on them!! Thank you Tom! Cannot recommend you enough. Excellent! read more

I originally went to rambling rose to get a vintage art deco1920 ring repaired and altered, and the owner said the work was too extensive and she suggested I go to P X jewelers across the street. And Im so glad I did because the work he did was amazing. It's a little pricey for repairs, but worth it. I then took another 1920's art deco ring again to him to get resized, which was standard like $50. Both rings were very delicate and thin. His work was so good that it looked like original work! My only advice is to be very clear in exactly what sizing you want. One ring was a little too tight, but he was able to adjust it to the right fit afterwards, and was super understanding/friendly about doing the adjustments. read more

Tonight I stopped by to get my palladium wedding band resized from a 10.5 to what ended up being 7.75 (I lost about a little bit of weight between this time last year and now). I walked in, spoke to, I guess it was Tom (the only man there?), and asked him if he'd be able to do that. He actually wasn't sure because he said he had never worked with palladium before, but after about 10 minutes, I was out the door with a resized ring! I was just expecting to drop it off and then pick it up tomorrow. My band has grooves running along the band, so he wasn't sure if he could get the lines matched up if he cut it, so instead he took it upstairs and used a machine to compress the ring somehow so it is the right size, and it's still the same weight as none of the palladium is missing. It's still 100% the ring I walked in with, just smaller! Needless to say, I was very impressed, and will definitely stop by here* again for any future needs. === *here, or Rambling Rose Estate Jewelry. I actually contacted them first, but said they weren't able to complete the resizing in the timeframe I was hoping for. We love these place!! We have had many problems with my engagement ring since we bought it in 2014. It's a vintage platinum ring from the 1920s and there were diamonds falling out from the filigree being so old. The jeweler, Tom, did an amazing job rebuilding the ring and restoring it. We haven't had a problem with it since! Because our experience was so pleasant the first time, we took in my grandmothers wedding band to be resized for me and he was able to save all of the original engraving on the inside. When I showed my mom what a great job he did she cried. What a great way to do service. He is the best in the area for vintage jewelry and I'd highly recommend him! He seems to be able to fix any problem, does a fantastic job, and works pretty quickly as well. Fantastic jeweler! I have a platinum engagement ring with intricate carving detail and several small stones in the band. I was in a car accident and the ring had to be cut off my hand. The first jeweler to "fix" it used white gold for the repairs, so the metal didn't match. Also, the ring was sort of oval shaped and crooked. I cried when I got it back because it was so ugly. The second jeweler managed to straighten and round it out, but the metal was still mismatched, the band uneven, and now the ring was about 3 sizes too big. I had given up and was just keeping it in a box, planning to buy a new setting eventually. I decided to try one more time, since it's my 10 year anniversary tomorrow, and I really wanted to wear the ring. I brought it to P X Jewelers and Tom said that he could really fix it. He took the time to really look it over, and then explain to me in detail everything he wanted to do to fix it correctly. He had to remove six stones and rebuild 2 parts of the band and replace one of the prongs to get all the white gold out of it. Then he had to try to replicate the etching. After the terrible results I had in the past, I did not have the highest expectations. Just a few short days after dropping it off, I came to pick up the ring today. I was completely shocked. It was as perfect as this poor battered ring could possibly get. All the white gold is gone, the band is straight and even, it is the perfect size, and the repaired etching matches the original almost exactly. Tom is a miracle worker! I did actually cry a little bit, this time because it was so beautiful. I couldn't be happier. I will never bring jewelry anywhere else.
