Food and hospitality is amazing! The pizza is good and the steak sandwich is really good

I went on impulse with my hungry 9 year old after some business in Gunter. I'm a sucker for a pizzeria salad with black olives and ranch. Andrea's did not disappoint. We ordered a little of everything so we could get a full pulse on the place. For a little local place, it was great. A much tastier option than a chain pizza place with plenty more options. We were served by a young man who was a local and was really patient with our over ordering, he even brought boxes at the end without being asked while also telling us to take our time to let us know he wasn't rushing us out. First time visiting, I drive by a lot so finally decided to give it a try. My wife and split the calzone. You can customize it however you want, and it was fantastic! The dough they make is really good, we will be back for pizza soon. The owner and his wife are also extremely friendly and help you with the menu and anything you need. read more

Nice clean family Italian bistro. Great fresh food! Voted the best pizza in the middle of nowhere by the Dallas Observer 2022. Established in 2010. Homemade sauces and real mozzarella. 3" tall delicious Lasagna. I'm had the chicken parm with pasta and sauce. Heavenly homemade rolls. Delicious homemade pizza and sandwiches. Great fast service. Judging a nice, family owned restaurant based on not being able to charge a cell phone is surprising. What is going on people? Can't break away from your cell phone?? --- I know the type. Im a FOREVER customer to this pizza place , honestly This has to be the best pizza I have ever had. We get the deep dish thick crust pizza and its just so yummy! Most pizzas I have had are coated in grease but not from this place. I just moved from nevada, we had pizza places but nothing like this pizza. The owner is so amazingly friendly! I came in with a few coworkers and to make sure the four of us would be okay charging a few devices on our lunch break I called ahead to make sure that was okay. I was told that was fine. Once we arrived the man at the front desk informed me that no we could not charge anymore because it was now "peak hours" 20 minutes later. In the handful of years I've lived in Texas, there was one thing about Gunter, TX restaurants that I knew. They don't exist. Alright, that's a lie. There have been a few restaurants that have graced the streets of Gunter, but they quickly seem to disappear. All except the Sonic... not that Sonic is a bastion of culinary excellence. Don't get me wrong, I loves me some late night Sonic, but it's hardly considered a restaurant. And then along came Andrea's, a small taste of Italy to this even smaller town in Northern Texas. With a simple menu; pizza, salads and pastas dominate your choice of selections. What else could you expect, especially in a time where less is more? For those craving classics: Andrea's serves up Lasagna, Chicken Parm, Raviolis and Backed Pasta. For the more adventurous, you can choose from 5 different pastas, three different sauces, and two different meat choices. The tour of tastes doesn't just stop with Italian at Andrea's, as they serve up wings, gyros and sandwiches. Having visited twice, I've sampled a range of pastas and pizzas. Their Chicken Parm was decent, their Calzone of adequate size, and their thick crust pizza pretty acceptable. I haven't had a chance to try out their American/Greek fare, but they will be next on my list. I won't lie, the food wasn't amazing, but it also wasn't bad either. Considering that Andrea's has settled itself in a town more likely to call it "Eye-talian", I think it's worth while. More importantly, the service there is great and personable. Owned by a husband and wife, it's probably the closest thing to home cooking you'll get outside of your own home. (Well, except going to your Grannie's) I have some high standards for Italian food, and most places do not come close to cooking that I grew up with. But you know what? Gunter needs at least someone's Mom's Italian cooking, and Andrea's is it. read more

I really enjoy Andreas. In a time were mom and pop shops are hard to find and good service is even harder to find Andreas is a great place to eat. It is a small place owned by husband and wife. The wife runs the front and is VERY helpful and pleasent. She gives my kids attention which I love. The food is good. Their deep dish pizza has a great crust. Their lasagna is one of the few my husband likes. I am not normally a fan of meatballs but have found myself going to Andreas just for their homemade meatballs. You cant beat the prices! The lunch specials are great. Lots of food for a great price. Only downfall is no delivery. read more

Not sure how this sits at 4 stars - even on a small town scale. Good - is okay. Really just processed commercial diner food - and not impressive. If the service level was better, it might add some forgiveness for the food - but for now forgive me for going somewhere else read more
