You know you're paying for pure, great quality drinks. We came here on a random day before the gym and settled with the love verde and charcoal lemonade. The love verde has a combination of cucumber, green apple, ginger, lemon, and kale while the charcoal lemonade was made out of activated charcoal, lemon, agave, lavender, and alkaline water. The true winner was the charcoal lemonade. There's almost no way to describe how refreshing it was. It's a shame they don't make the drink sizes bigger because I definitely wanted more! It's located off of Johnson next to the city hall. Parking is pretty much all on the street. I was craving some healthier eats so I decided to check the place out. I walked in and was greeted by Liz who is super friendly! I ended up getting myself a Pesto Chicken Sandwich, and one of the pressed juices in the refrigerator. The sandwich is pure deliciousness! It was made fresh, and was made with care and flavor! The restaurant itself is small with a few dining tables, but is extremely clean & cute to sit in! I got this DoorDashed, it took about 45minutes to get to me and the smoked salmon bagel helped up. It was amazing. The bagel was still crispy, it was loaded with salmon, and they put a dressing inside that punched me into another dimension. I highly recommend it. I will most definitely be ordering it again. I also got the beet salad and the same dressing comes with it. I'm hooked! The only thing that I didn't like from Andrea's was the matcha latte. It was a beige color and tasted like sugared milk. A new year brings new beginnings. This year I committed myself to eating veggies with every meal. While I love the juice cleanse package because I get to try a bit of the everything. I find it much easier to order a half jug of the love verde juice weekly to drink instead of that second cup of coffee that I normally go for. I have noticed an overall improvement because I feel more hydrated overall. It has a great flavor if you don't mind ginger. Definitely has that zing to it if you love ginger this is the juice for you. Highly recommend supporting this shop! Staff is great. Customer service is on point. Ordering online is easy and if you have any questions they respond to you very quickly. The only minor issue I would fix is when you are placing an order for the half jug of juice online it doesn't list an option to choose the flavor of the juice. Other than that everything was great. Was in the area and did my Yelp research. Glad to drop in. I tried the avocado toast and Coconut Freeze smoothie. The avocado toast was perfectly flavored with a nice size of fried egg on top! My kiddo had the Post workout smoothie with almond milk, peanut butter, chocolate protein and berries. I loved my Coconut smoothie. Very refreshing. My daughter said her smoothie was good, but she tasted more of the almond milk. Overall, if I'm in the area I will try another smoothie or maybe an Acai bowl. Cashier was sweet and welcoming. Both were delicious and had me craving a second wrap long after I finished. I believe I met the owner Andrea (not 100%, I forgot to ask her name) but she was working the counter the day I went in. Today was the day to finally try this place out. Let me say that the min you walk in you are greeted with a smile and friendly customer service by the owner. She asked if we had any questions about the menu and also advised if we follow lent there are fish options. I decided to try the chicken pesto sandwich, which came in a combo. We had the choice of a pressed juice or tea and a bag of chips. This sandwich was packed with so much flavor. The ciabatta bread was nicely toasted the ratio of chicken was perfect. The sandwich contained ciabatta bread, pesto, spinach, chicken, mozzarella, tomato, and avocado. I will say very filling! I really enjoyed the refreshing taste of their papaya passion fruit tea, so much I got one to go. They have plenty of options and definitely will come back to try more of their menu. At this time they only had one table to sit at but the owner advised they will be having more seating options very soon. She told us we can order online for pick ups. I was feeling a bit under the weather right before thanksgiving dinner (Sunday?). It was a simple cold, tested negative for Covid but had a cough and my sinuses were a bit congested. My boyfriend ended up surprising me with a bunch of ginger/lemon shots and a Let's Beet It juice (he insisted that i recover for thanksgiving dinner LOL). He told me that when he picked up the order, the lady was extremely sweet and said that she hoped I'd feel better. Most importantly, he said he watched them make the juices FRESH, right in front of him! Yayyyyy! The shots were definitely potent, let me tell y'all. I'm no stranger to ginger (my grandma leaves chunk of them in dishes she makes and my mom loves making the lemon ginger tea) but these ginger shots were STRONG! I felt them going down minutes after I had downed the shot. The let's beet it juice had more cucumber than I think I would've liked in a normal juiced beverage but I didn't mind it as much since it kept me hydrated. I think I just prefer more vegetable than fruits. I think it's good for those who aren't used to juicing and prefer more of a sweet and clean aftertaste. I'm used to drinking celery juice and juices that tastes like you went to the produce isle and licked a vegetable LOL. Customer service is impeccable here! I was randomly looking for a local juice spot to see if any carried celery juice. Since my migraine made my blood pressure go wack. I called Andrea's and asked if they had celery juice. The lady that picked up said they do and they make it fresh but they were juicing a big order and to come around 3ish. Well I ended up forgetting and got a call around 4:15 letting me know my juice was ready and they closed at 5. Let's just say it slipped my mind again. I called the next morning and asked if they still had my celery juice while apologizing. I hate flakers and I was one of them :/ I ended up picking up my juice, a chicken bowl and had a great conversation with the owner. She literally is the sweetest and was so understanding! Btw that orange sauce they use on top of the bowl is delish! She mentioned all their sauces and dressings are homemade! My boyfriend picked up two smoothies and a bagel pesto sandwich totaling $25. Nina fresa was creamy and not too sweet. The bagel pesto sandwich was the highlight of the meal! Good cheese pull, and good amount of seasoning. My only complaint was the smoothie was $8 (online pickup prices) and the cup sizing are the same size as a small energy drink. This was my first time here and it was great! I was lucky to find street parking in the front that's 20 min only but there's other parking available. The avocado banana smoothie is sooooo good!!! Not super sweet and not super thick. I'm definitely going to get this again. I also go the soyrizo breakfast bagel and was able to swap out the onion bagel with a sesame one. I want to start off by saying the service was amazing, as soon as I walked through the door I immediately was greeted and given recommendations! The restaurant in itself was very clean and it smelled nice as well! Everything seemed to be very organized and well kept. I ordered the soyrizo bagel with special sauce and an avocado peanut butter smoothie, and let me just say these two were absolutely phenomenal!! I used to work at a juice shop and when she handed me the smoothie I already knew it was going to be amazing! The smoothie was the right consistency not watery but a nice creamy texture and the flavors were there as well. The bagel was made with egg whites, soyrizo, avocado, cheese, and their special sauce. All the flavors combined perfectly together! There wasn't too much of something, every flavor balanced itself out. I posted my food to my social media and I've had at least ten people tell me how amazing this looked and where I got it from! LOCATION: Andrea's Healthy Kitchen is quietly tucked away on Johnson Ave, directly across from the El Monte Courthouse and Police Department. Plenty of parking all along the quiet street. They have beautiful signage so you shouldn't miss finding it. FOOD: I've been here twice already so I'll be talking about what I've ordered so far. Let's start with their Niña Fresa Smoothie. It has strawberries, pineapple, and yogurt so overall it's not insanely sweet like most other places but I think that's a good thing. It's good but it didn't blow my mind. I probably would try one of their other smoothies. Next is their Chicken Wrap, which is very good! It's a spinach wrap with fresh chicken inside, spinach, brown rice, and more. I had this for lunch and it was great. Definitely would order again. Recently, I ordered their new Soyrizo Breakfast Bagel. This was so good! I shared it with my girlfriend so I'm a little sad we didn't get our own haha. It was deliciously flavored with good complimenting ingredients and the avocado was a smooth touch. I really enjoy all of the options they have. Hot Tip: They also carry Baby Pastries (local baker) VEGAN Cookies & Cream Conchita and I literally can go back, just for this. This updated review is long overdue. I've been a loyal customer of AHK since days she worked from her home & barely had enough room in her personal refrigerator to store orders. Applaud her for getting a big commercial refrigerator & then TWO. Business was going well for her. I'd make the drive out & pick up 1, 3 to 6 orders b/c I was always recruiting someone to detox. Truthfully I have yet to come across anyone who can beat her prices. I can see how the owner Tatiana can come off unfriendly but I don't think she means to I think that is just her persona (unless you're famous or have a big platform) then you'll get a 1 on 1 convo. Other than that her husband was the one who always attended me. Last time I placed an order she forgot to include ginger shots (human error). I reached out about them &I felt like she did not make any initiative to make it right. No offer a refund, discount (on next order) that was 6 shots missing. She placed blamed on her husband for not including them. But I let it go.... Once my friend reviewed her Yelp for the lack of customer service in resolving the small issue that's when she reached out to her but at this point we were over it. I have yet to place another order until recently & orders are done on her website. I ordered a gallon of Charcoal Lemonade, when checking out you are asked to add in the notes date/time for pick up. Apparently it was my mistake for not knowing her business hours that when I put in the notes I'd pick up Saturday I was supposed to automatically know she was closed on Saturdays because it says so on her IG page. I made a simple suggestion that she should add a calendar or hours on the checkout portion of her site to avoid any inconvenience for both her & customers. After a couple of exchanged msgs she offered a refund if I would not be able to make it out Sunday. I msgd her Sunday if it be okay to move forward with the refund bc it's a drive out for me & I ordered thinking I could swing by Saturday. She did not even respond with an "I'm sorry", "Hope to see you soon next time" or even to let me know the refund was processed. I noticed it days later in my acct. I will no longer be a customer of AHK. Thanks to the poor service she gave I hands down managed to make the Charcoal Lemonade myself. I work 5min from "Juice C Juice" she's been in business for 20yrs+ has built up a platform & has managed to stay HUMBLE. Appreciating every single one of her customer's whether you are famous or simply a local. Her detoxes are pricier, on the thicker side (not as watered down).
