Don't go there. Very bad service. The guy doesn't care that you are his customer. Very rude also. Avoid as you can.

Inside, there is only enough room to place your order - the few tables they have are outside in their garden area. I got the peanut butter acai bowl. They also have an assortment of Brazilian pastries that all looked amazing so we got an assortment of savory pastries to try. They brought those out nice and toasted and they were delicious and cheesy on the inside. My acai bowl hit the spot - beautifully arranged with a great ratio of fresh fruit, granola, and chilled creamy acai with the flavor of peanut butter mixed in - it made for a sweet, yet healthy lunch. Would definitely come back.

I've never been happier and more stuffed!…read more What a grand brunch. Before you've even had any meat, they've got the biggest salad bar you've ever seen with more options than you can imagine. It's a feat in itself to try not to fill yourself up with just sides. They start you off with hot, fresh pao de queijo at your table, they had a chef off to the side making incredible feijoada, and I had a plate full of charcuterie, sauteed vegetables, and fruit...and I hadn't even turned my medallion over to green to start the meat coming! So I was already a happy camper, and then the skewers and the swords came and took me to hog heaven. All the meat was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. And they really kept it coming. Had to cut them off before my plate overflowed. Each time I thought I had enough, they came out with something new that I HAD to try. I thought I would finish with the rare rib-eye (my favorite), but of course I had to have one more, so I ended on the rack of lamb, which was to die for. Our server, Eder, was charming and wonderful. He really took care of us and made us feel right at home. He told us stories of his trips back home to Brazil which really added to the experience. He told us all about feijoada and how it's made, and was so kind and generous to my two daughters...It's that kind of personal touch that's lacking at restaurants these days. It felt warm and classic, like how service used to be. Many thanks, Eder! An upscale, Vegas-style AYCE experience, right in the heart of SF with fantastic service. What could be better? Thank you Fogo De Chao for making us feel like VIPs and for giving us a brunch we'll be talking about for a long time...

While in San Francisco, we decided to go there again, this time for a birthday celebration. We also signed up for the rewards program. The men carving up the meats were efficient and they came again and again, delighting our guests. Our favorites were the meats wrapped up in bacon. Very tasty. We also liked the abundance of choices at the salad bar although we wish there were more choices for folks who opt only for the salad bar. Maybe some ceviche? More cheeses? The black bean with pork soup was delicious. Our biggest concern: the very unattentive server who seemed to like gabbing with the other servers instead of checking on diners. More than once we had to ask another server to send our server back for water/soda refill. We told him one of us was celebrating a birthday, and not once did he offer a complimentary dessert for the celebrant. When we told him we're part of the rewards program, he didn't bother checking, and as such, we may have missed out on some points and/or discounts as promoted by the rewards program. Terrible terrible service!

I saw an Instagram ad for half off the rodizio experience on Memorial Day and had to make a…read morereservation. Matt had been talking about Brazilian steakhouse every time he saw something that reminded him remotely of Fogo de Chao, so I figured this opportunity might be of interest to him. Come to find out that the day after I make the reservation he asks if I'd be willing to go a Brazilian steakhouse for the long weekend, so I got to surprise him with the fact that I already had a reservation. I'm not the biggest fan of Fogo de Chao based on my prior experiences there. I do believe that I have been to a Show de Carnes location before and had another great experience, but also Show de Carnes's Memorial Day promotion was slightly better than Fogo's and I much preferred that their location was outside of the city even if on the other side of the bridge. I did have to call the morning of to delay our reservation slightly, but it was taken care of for us without hassle. We even got seated closer to the original reservation time when we ended up running early. There isn't much space to wait in the front lobby area especially on a packed night, but everything looks very upscale from the wine bottles on the wall to the crystals above the self-serve side buffet. As far as mandatory meats, I have a couple of personal rules when it comes to Brazilian steakhouse, including go light on the sides and only go for the beef. Picanha is my favorite, extra rare too, so I made myself a whole pincanha meat salad while probably giving the guy cutting the meat a good scare. The grilled pineapple is also a must, followed by the cheese and honey. Matt got a lot more variety but it takes a while for the guys to come around with meat that has already been sliced up some so I can get to the parts that I like. We got a papaya cream and passion fruit mousse for dessert, which we probably really didn't need but enjoyed thoroughly as we are both dessert people. As it was a busy night, it was not too easy to flag a server down. I saw picanhas skip our table left and right so I'm not sure there's an established route for them to bring the meat around. The staff did seem to work together with great teamwork, and someone always stopped by to make sure we had more water and our choice of sides. I would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone that is a protein or all you can eat fan. The regular price per person is definitely steep in my humble opinion, but if you can catch a promo it'll be a great time. Also, don't choose between still or sparkling, ask for tap. I will not be getting got again next time.
