They also have an assortment of Brazilian pastries that all looked amazing so we got an assortment of savory pastries to try. They brought those out nice and toasted and they were delicious and cheesy on the inside. My acai bowl hit the spot - beautifully arranged with a great ratio of fresh fruit, granola, and chilled creamy acai with the flavor of peanut butter mixed in - it made for a sweet, yet healthy lunch. The cutest Brazilian cafe off the beaten path. They have an array of homemade empanadas. My absolute favorite was the Conxinha (creamy cheese with artichoke)-- it had the best outer crust to it with a light batter and was filled inside with flavor! I also like the I bought it to go and just popped it into the toaster oven. Beware the hot sauce they give you is pretty hot! We had acai bowls to eat there and there's a nice little outdoor area behind the main house to eat at. It's covered and they bring your food right to you! The Original Acai bowl 16oz is a huge portion but packed with tons of fruits and toppings and has a great thicker consistency for the acai. It turns out a guy I went to high school lives in South SF and insisted we meet here. It ended up being five of us, but, no matter. He also ordered up a combination for me that's not on the menu; it consists of Brazilian Tri-tip with a plantain. Next came a plate of beans and rice along with a ton of tasty veggies and some kind of potato salad (????). It was all delicious! I tasted The peanut butter Açaí and recommend it highly. They make a yummy Kombucha and some fabulous Salgados (pastries). Don't walk out without trying different coffees. My little buddy, Charlie, has a secret for that, too. One which I figured out was doubling the tip. He samples coffees and other drinks, secret menus and gets the word on the local scene. This is my go-to for an açaí bowl. I was never big on açaí bowls until my roommate recommended this place back in 2020 and sheesh, they load your bowl with a bunch of delicious ingredients you won't find a combination of elsewhere. I order the Sobramesa, which is the açaí bowl with blueberries, bananas, strawberries, granola, Nutella, condensed milk, and milk powder. Anything containing condensed milk is something I HAVE to try. I came here two days in a row because my partner ate a good portion of my bowl yesterday and it was nearly 2pm, their closing time, which left us waiting until they opened the next day to indulge in this deliciousness once again. I have to deduct one star because it takes about 15-20mins until you receive your order, which I understand- presentation is key.. I wish I could deduct a half star. This place is tiny and it does fill up quickly, especially around noon! Be prepared to wait! At the end of it all, it's totally worth it. The receipt confirmed I asked for no strawberries, instead they took out the bananas and kept the strawberries. Paid extra for Nutella, which turned out to be a small drizzle. Cafe De Casa was an accident find for breakfast nearby our hotel this past weekend. We ended up going twice on this short visit. I got the Acai Berry Bowl $16.75 on both days. I really enjoyed the consistency of their Acai mixture as it's thicker than most places and has a structure to it. So you get a really good mouthful as opposed to other places where it's often runny. I feel like this is how Acai bowls should be. The kids enjoyed their Empada de Frango and Coxinha. I can't say much about it since they ate it all and didn't share any of it. While enjoying our brunch, we saw the neighboring table get their orders and was amazed. Order after order of the steak or chicken lunch would come out and we were just an awe. The steaks were falling off the plate, and there was an additional plate of sides (rice, beans, salad, etc.). The Husband was convinced we needed to return the next day to get an order of the Bife Acebolado (grilled steak plate) and we convinced my sister and hubby to come as well. Unfortunately for us, we arrived at 10 am and it was busy. We were lucky to grab a table, but the devastating part was that lunch isn't served until 11 am. Big fail on our part. So everyone got their ready-made pastries to enjoy. (As we were in line, we saw items disappearing before our eyes, so arrive early if you want a selection.) The Husband and Little Guy enjoyed Abracadinho de Salsicha $5.95 and 2 Esfirra de Carne $5.95/each. The Little Gal had the Carrot Cake with Chocolate $7.70. It had a stronger orange flavor than carrot though. It's a good size cake and probably should be shared as she couldn't finish it. I also enjoyed the Pao de Queijo Grande $4.50 as I just love Brazilian Cheese Bread. (I have a bad habit of filling up on those when visiting Brazilian steakhouses.). They offer a large and small version, and the large one was just yummy. In retrospect, I should have grabbed a few to go, but the line was ridiculously long the whole time we were there and when we left. There is limited garden seating available. Once you place our order inside, you can hopefully grab a table and they will bring your order out. The Husband will definitely be on a mission to experience their lunch at some point. Unfortunately, I've had two unpleasant experiences in recent months at Casa de Casa. Both times resulted in extreme food poisoning, (once in September where me and two friends all experienced it) and again just last Friday after consuming an acai bowl. I was bed ridden for 24 hours. It's worth noting that I called to inform the manager after this most recent time and she was incredibly kind and apologetic when I reached out. She offered to cover medical costs and is sending the affected food for testing. She also mentioned that around 15 people contacted them in September with similar complaints on the acai bowl which is sourced from Brazil and had a high count of something that caused the illness when they ran testing. I did not ask for a refund or for bills to be paid but her honestly and her very caring response is why I offer 2 stars instead of 1. While I sincerely appreciated the manager's response, the recurring issues are so concerning that I will never return. I was quite disappointed, as I had previously enjoyed the food and atmosphere. However, the health concerns outweigh the positive aspects.I hope Casa de Casa can address these problems promptly to ensure the safety of their customers. They seem to be very busy and prior to my past two visits I had not gotten sick and enjoyed my meals there. read more

I'm so sad that this place is all the way on the other side of the Peninsula (as someone coming from Mountain View) because this place is so worth the drive. From the entrees to the drinks & pastries, everything in this Brazilian cafe is incredibly delicious! I came by for lunch since I was up in South SF for business. I've driven by this a number of times now, but because they close early-ish (by 3 pm), I've always kept this place in my bookmarks in case I happened to be here during their operating hours. Upon entering, you see an assortment of savory and sweet pastries on display. The menu is simple - a few entrees to choose from, drinks, acai bowls, and a few others. I ordered the Frango Acebolado (grilled chicken with grilled onions), Pao de Quiejo, and Guarana soda. The Frango Acebolado does take some time to prepare (~20 mins), but once it came out, I was shocked. It was SOOOO much food for only $20! The chicken was fresh and juicy, and the sides were plentiful! I absolutely had to get a to go box to take home half of it for a 2nd meal. The Pao de Quiejo was fluffy yet chewy, with a subtle cheese pull to it. They also sold Brigadeiro (Brazilian fudge) as well, but only in a 5 pack! I was reaaaaaally tempted, but alas I resisted... but I won't resist the next time I'm back! read more

Sounds a little different but so good. No inside seating. Parking in front or small public lot to side. Outside on a nice day is great. This day was misty overcast and ok. The place itself is good, pricey but good. My only complain is that they should remove some items off their menu at certain times of the day. I went there today at lunch time and they barely had "salgados". If they close the kitchen at lunch time and only serve rice, beans, salad, and protein, they should just add it in the menu, instead of having us driving there for nothing. They have another store on Castro Street which is way better, but it closes super early. They close by 06 PM, no dinner hours. read more

Hands down the best Acai bowl in SF/Peninsula!!! Not only that, their pastries and entrees also are consistently immaculate. They have awesome spicy sauce that has huge flavor and big kick to spice. Small shack with friendly service. I've been literally going here to get my acai bowl fix for the past 10+ years that I haven't even written a review in order to gatekeep... but the credit is due! I literally have made an effort to try other spots for acai bowls and I just keep coming back here as they really set the bar. Original Acai Bowl - 5/5 - The acai is cold, creamy enough, and screams good quality. Doesn't melt fast like other spots that appear to use frozen acai juice. Fruit are always fresh. Love how they cut the banana so thin. Granola is sweet and plentiful, almost as if it was dipped in honey. I like to add chia seeds and on occasion condensed milk. Acai Smoothie - 4/5 - you get their good quality acai in smoothie form. Does taste sweeter than the acai in the acai bowl. It seems as if they throw in some granola for a few crunchy bites here and there. Nice option if you are driving or can't chew for some reason but I'd rather get the bowl. Frango de Milanesa - 5/5 - Huge thin crispy piece of chicken full of savory flavor! All the sides were amazing from the garlic/butter rice, beans, salad (dice tomatoes & thin lettuce strings), and vegetables (looks like Mac salad but a spinach dip flavor with olives, peppers, and heart of palm). All of this mixed with a little of their hot sauce is a legit trip to flavortown. Coxinha - 5/5 - Crispy but doughy outside with a nice creamy and mild spiced inside flavor. Shredded chicken throughout. My partner really can't order anything else but this one and I can see why. Rissole de Presunto de Queijo - 5/5 - imagine a Brazilian ham and cheese hot pocket on steroids. Ham is diced into small pieces and the creamy cheese is very indulgent. Pretty filling. You can get this with corn too but I always stick to ham. Pao de Queijo Grande - 4/5 - always served warm and sets the bar for these bread cheese balls. Perfect texture with it being more doughy with a cheese flavor. Is on the smaller side compared to other pastries they provide for the same price point. Americano de Salsicha/Presunto - 4/5 - fresh and good quality. Bread is light. Both meats are not greasy at all. This is my go-to when taking a break from fried foods. Their coffee can't be beat. They have been serving tasty and strong pour over coffee before it was a hip thing. I was introduced to Brazilian goodies here. Chicken Coxinhas are delicious as are their Pao Queijo are both items I pick up on a regular basis. I started picking up their coffee beans as gifts recently and they were well received. Cafe De Casa has a secret Friday menu. My friend only found out about it last time because he asked someone eating it. It was Brazilian tri-tip steak. It comes with a plantain. If you ask for the combo, it comes with a plate of beans and rice, some sort of tasty potato salad with tomatoes, lettuce, diced tomatoes, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower. We also got the beef salad $17.25 and some pastries for about $5 each. Everything tasted delicious. The chef really did a good job with the Brazilian flavors. There isn't much out there that I haven't tried. It was nice to get that "new" feeling in my life. Sitting outside, on a nice sunny morning made it more special. I remember coxinha from when I came here 10 years ago, and I don't recall other Brazilian restaurants in the general SSF, Daly City, etc area. We got 2 entrees to take away. The proteins are generous and great quality: biftek and a massive perfectly deep-fried pounded chicken breast. I've forgotten the menu name for chicken but it was the Milanesa preparation. The meat is ground the mix of seasoning and olive and peppers are perfect. I saw the sauce on the table and it is fab. Spicy, but certainly perfect for dipping. The outdoor seating is lovely. 05.11.2023 - Dessert A little blue cafe nestled right off the freeway. First, you walk-in to order and pickup is located outside around the side of the cafe through a window. Parking can be hard. Street parking is always taken. Need to drive around the block to get to the back parking lot. Likewise, most spaces are taken, but parking illegally while ordering/picking up your order doesn't seem to be an issue. Açaí bowl made to order. They use fresh açaí berries so you won't get a smooth consistency. Kinda chunky and grainy. Because it's fresh, it's less sweet. The sobremesa came with banana slices, strawberry slices, granola, condensed milk and Nutella. We added shredded coconut. Everything was generously portioned, except the Nutella. This made us sad. Shrimp pastry had good creamy creole flavoring. The pastry itself was deep fried, but it felt very doughy. The ratio between the filling and the dough felt uneven. Beef pastry was...let's just say, we had to toss it. My husband I took a bite and spat it out. The pastry tasted like rye with seeds and the beef tasted gamey. Flavor was so strong and extremely unpleasant. I know they're well known for their chicken coxinha, but it gets really heavy. We also bought their bagged milk caramel to try. Reminded me of play-do. It felt like chewing on sweet flavored play-do. Tasted like powdered milk mixed with butter. No caramel taste what-so-ever. Coconut bread. A huge pastry glazed with buttered sugar with shredded coconut sprinkled on top. Looked so moist and appetizing, but the moment you take a bite, it's so dry. The Açaí bowl may be the only legit thing to order from here. It's great to be adventurous because now I know, I'm not a fan of Brazilian pastries. read more

I really liked the ambiance of this cafe, so I was hoping to give it more stars but it fell short a little based on the service and quality. When you order, the cash register tries to trick you into giving a 25% tip which is wild to me since it's not a full service restaurant. The food I ordered was pretty good but the prices were a little high for the amount of food given. The pineapple and mint juice I got was very good and refreshing.
