I wish I could give Dr. Dreyer and his office more then 5 stars! While I was under the care of another local dentist, it was basically told to me that my only option was dentures. I was so scared! I was also upset with myself that I allowed my teeth to get so bad. I left crying. I went home and further researched my options. I found Dr. Andrew Dreyer on google and called his office to set up an appt. for a consultation. Three days later I met with Stacy (Treatment Coordinator) to go over what I would like to see happen. She shared with me that they would be able to meet my wishes. I was ECSTATIC! When I went for my procedure I was a little scared, but knew I was in good hands. Everyone in the office was extremely nice and very caring. Dr. Dreyer was very professional and gentle. Almost 0 pain!!! A little tender, but with all the work Dr. Dreyer had to do I expected that. Having gum surgery is not fun; however, it is necessary sometimes to keep your teeth healthy Dr. Dreyer was AMAZING!! He is exceptionally knowledgeable and his many years of expertise resulted in PERFECT work on my gums. His bedside manner is calm, kind and compassionate. I would not give any stars if I could. This place is all about money with little or no regard for the patient. Warning: Have them put in writing how much it will be for everything before you agree to the procedure. Apparently, spoken words don't count here. Everything gets changed up halfway through and then you're stuck having to keep going back to finish with a bill that is 3 times what it should be. As others have said on here "check your billing" which means this is his method of operation. Wish I'd never gone in the first place. Terrible unfinished work and now I don't have enough to pay someone else to finish it. read more

My sister went in because of two blisters her gums possibly caused by a surgical instrument. He took 1500.00 so he could cut out the bone on either side of her mouth. She could relax with the ineffectual medication he gave her. Called me into the room and said I'm through your sisters through. He didn't do anything Kept her money and told her to leave. She then scheduled an apt with a specialist in Newport Beach and he said just wait their blisters and will fall off. They did and no charge. read more

I have complete confidence that Dr. Dreyer is a great periodontist and after meeting with him, I felt comfortable and was ready to schedule the procedures he recommended that I receive. After deciding that it would be prudent to do a pre-authorization with my insurance company, I received my explanation of benefits and my insurance would only pay their portion of a max of $285 out of the $365 that Dr. Dreyer's office wanted to charge me for the service. (That price is per quadrant of my mouth, so multiply it by 4 for the total price of service.) When I spoke with his office staff, I told them that I would schedule it if they would accept the max price that my insurer pays. The reply was basically, that is not our policy, so you can pay the $365 (times 4 equals $1,460) or find another provider. I felt that his staff sounded personally offended when I suggested that I wouldn't pay the $365 per quadrant, but would agree to the $285. So, I won't be having my procedure with this office. I'm surprised by this because this is work that the hygienist would be doing, not Dr. Dreyer. I guess that they have so much business that they can refuse mine. Now it's time to find another dentist. read more

I had a different oral surgeon who was going to pull one tooth that I had been waiting three years to have done. That office said I needed to have a blood test to see if my protein levels were correct since I had shots of Prolia for osteoporosis. He made me wait nine months for another test. Things went awry and I ended not being able to go back to this oral surgeon. I asked my DDS for another referral and Dr. Dreyer was chosen. He is much younger than their first choice and I feel that is an advantage in knowing what is current in the field of medicine.Within one week of my consultation, I had my tooth pulled and was on the road to recovery.
