Ordered through Grub Hub and I got a call from the diner about 15 minutes later saying they don't have soda. That wasn't a problem, but the delivery took over 2 and a half hours. I live in Newark, and I ordered a large meal for my friends who were visiting. 2 and a half hours and during that time, I didn't receive a single phone call about why the driver was so late. I called twice asking where the food was, and how much longer the wait would be, and the young lady answering the phone kept answering with," oh I don't know the driver or where he is but he should be there shortly". Food ok - not the issue. I am giving this place a 1 star for the complete lack of customer service , inept ability to deliver on a basic (charged) service, and the incredibly disrespectful and completely off base follow up from a female person that called me from the location to back up her incompetent driver. Here is the specifics: Placed an order for delivery and paid. Gave the instructions to my location. As well as my name. They tell me about an hour - no problem! Fast forward - I'm busy at work and on a call. My cell phone rings , rings, rings , rings , and rings - still on a business call I can't answer. I get off my business call and answer my phone , this one (from a different number ) is this establishment calling me back. Stating the driver is waiting on me - I say ok what's the problem. She says her driver is waiting and her driver can't wait . So I stated - I'm not even sure what the problem is. I walk out of my front door and find the driver sitting on her ass in her car. I am completely taken back by this as she was literally 20 feet from the front door and could not bother to walk through the sliding door to see multiple people -all of which would have known me. I just can't imagine someone sitting 20 feet from a door and calling from a cell phone instead of waking through a door to inquire. So I say that to her and her response is - what I'm suppose to go in ????? What??? Meanwhile the location girl hangs up while I'm talking with the driver - you think she would have apologized when she realized her lazy ass driver was sitting in her car instead of walking through a door 20 ft from her and "delivering" the food. I have never had to go meet a "delivery" of food at their car ever before in my life. So when I engage the stupidity with like response. - I'm told I need to relax. This diner has a "cheers" atmosphere. A lot of locals who all know each other and have their story. The food is diverse even for a diner. I had a Mediterranean salad with grilled chicken. Not what you'd expect but none the less satisfying. The food is plentiful and service very good read more

So was visiting family in the Newark area, and my husband and I decided to have dinner at Andros diner. I tried the penne a la vodka with chicken and he had pizza from the downstairs pizzeria. A restaurant open 24 hours is rare in Newark, but Andro's comes through every time. Their buffalo wings are crispy but not saucy and still pretty hot. They have American diner fare as well as food more typical to the residents of Ironbound. Everyone is friendly. Always get a milkshake. They make them with Nasto's ice cream! read more

My office is near there. I have been ordering from there for the past 13 months. Quiet often large orders. Normally, the food is pretty good but today I ordered the Chicken Fettucine Alfredo and it was just greasy, bland and cold. It's as if they took cold cream add a lot of melted butter & threw some pasta in it ewwww! Calling them was useless. Unfortunately used cash and not CC. Well.... its not very often that i will actually take the time to sit down and write a review. but this place deserves it. the food is great and the service is always what i want it to be . if youi're looking for a clean, well-managed place with a good menu and great diner food, this is it. Visiting from out of town and found that they deliver through GrubHub. It's kinda pricey... we paid $40 for 30 "wings"and fries... the wings are not really wings though... they are extremely long strips of some sort. RACIST. THIEVES... Paid $40 for $32 breakfast NEW YEARS DAY. Fine.. We leave. Waitress comes out chasing us says we did not pay. I KNOW I PAID. And tipped. Worst service ever! I tried otdering a salad 3 times on different days, the first time it arrived after my lunch hour was over, the second time late again and not what i had ordered. I spoke to the manager and he gave me a 10 dollar credit. Where do I start.... walk in no on seats us and we're told just grab a menu the owner I presume find a booth sit down. Look over the mediocre menu I wanted calamari so order that and a combo platter, drinks are sold by the bottle or can $3 for a Snapple. I've had several bad experiences here so this is not a one off experience. Once ordered a Gyro and was told when it came the kitchen made a mistake and put it in a normal tortilla wrap instead of the normal Gyro wrap. She said it so fast with a half baked "sorry" before quickly walking off we didn't have a chance to ask for it to be fixed. Another occasion I got a chicken wrap and only ate half because I kept getting bone shards that I had to spit out. One time I had a good experience with a nice waitress and great buffalo chicken strips. Sadly the good experience didn't make up for the last time I went and the waitress (same one from all the other bad experiences) was especially rude. My friend nicely asked for mayo and eventually the check and was ignored and talked to very rudely. My friend payed the check and decided not to tip because the restaurant was almost empty yet the waitress was just standing around and ignoring us. We walked out and the waitress chased us outside and started yelling at us for not leaving a tip. I've tipped every time I had her but I HAD IT with the extra rude service and my friend wasn't having it. I believe in tipping al the time unless it's truly awful and the waitress is to blame. Sometimes things are out of their control so there is no need to take it out on them but she did not earn or deserve a tip. I was shocked she started yelling at us down the sidewalk. Will never try this place again just because of that. It's cheap food and would have gone back if it wasn't for her meltdown. Too bad the one nice waitress was only working one time I came. Which I love...(ed) Well the love affair is over I found Andros on Ferry street off Polk st wow!!!! I ordered the Eggplant Paramagne witch they served over linguini. I'm in Heaven The food is out of this Solar system beyond. Delicious and the waiteresz who took my order was warm friendly and got me the food FAST .. The young man who took the check was intelligent. Warm funny and made me feel like I'd been eating there all My life. ( I am hooked ) this is a double blessing a Great Classic diner in the Old fashioned Tradition !! And one of the best Italian Restaurants I've ever been too! The food is great the Prices are reasonable and it's got such an inviting homey atmosphere I was so glad I listened to my neighbors who said " your gonna Love the Place " ..
