My first time there and had an awesome experience. So good that I will return in a couple weeks! I had the makings of a Western Skillet but instead of ham,they accommodate me with putting grilled chicken. It came out in a black cast-iron pan. It was excellent!!!! Very flavorful , fresh and cooked perfect. I had home fries with it. They were also very good! I also got peaches and sauce pancakes. It was their special, It was amazing! The pancakes was so light and fluffy. The service was excellent. Very tentative and accommodating to your needs. We also met the Owner whom is active in the restaurant. I met a colleague for brunch on a weekday and appreciated the festive decor felt very homey. Menu offers variety, but we both ended up ordering crepes one savory and one sweet. The savory one comes with a side of fries. Both were good, I think I prefer a thinner crepe but the savory one offered a thicker one so it was pretty filling. Overall 4/5 for value and execution. Not necessarily a destination spot but conveniently located and a decent option if you're looking for a quick bite. I recently found the Cranford Station House via a Google search and I am so glad I did. While staying in the area, I needed a good breakfast option and this place did not disappoint at all. Our waitress, I believe "Sophia" was amazing. We had a few picky eaters in the bunch and she was so pleasant and patient listening to all their concerns about their food. She also informed us what was the best sellers on the menu. Many of us had the skillet, from her recommendation and they were delicious. The flavors were so gratifying and flavorful. The menu is also so big, there is literally something for everyone! They are in a nice location, which is near a parking area near the train. They have an extensive menu to choose from. From breakfast items to lunch. We came around noon. We ordered a special short rib hash with eggs, Reese peanut butter pancakes, churros French toast, reg pancakes, and a chicken gyros with loaded fries. Everything was super fresh made to order. Went in on a Sunday morning there was no wait. Parking wasn't too bad. My husband got the churro French toast and loved it. I got the southwest skillet (weekend special) with no meat. My friend suggested this place for breakfast one morning and with a menu that looked so good, I didn't mind making a 40 minute drive. Everything sounded wonderful but whenever I see somebody making corned beef as a skillet, I'm definitely going for it however I was incredibly disappointed to find that they used canned corned beef and although it was very good, it was a huge let down. First impressions, definitely can be dicey to find parking but if you decide to take the train it's quite literally across from Cranford train station, so quite convenient in that regard! My food was pretty basic and tasted good, it was priced at $16 dollars which honestly I don't think is worth the price. My partner's dish was good as well, but for $20, we are basically paying dinner prices for a brunch. While the food was good I don't think we will be coming back due to the prices not being worth it and with tip our bill came to almost $60! I also ordered the Reese's peanut butter pancakes because I'm a huge peanut butter and Reese's fan. The pancakes were as big as a normal plate and there were 3 of them. They were fluffy and delicious. I loved the Reese's pieces on top and it was my favorite pancakes ever! My gf ordered a waffle with berries and it was a great waffle. Her best friend ordered the fruity pebble French toast I believe. She loved it. The service was quick. Especially for it being such a busy Sunday morning. There just so happened to be 3 seats at the bar top so we sat there. The wait staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They got our drinks and orders in quick. The ambiance is that of a little old school diner. Even though it was opened in 2019, the place reminds you of an old school place. It's small inside and there can definitely be a wait. But man is the wait worth it. The prices here are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. I think the pancakes are $15 for 3 giant ones. The omelet was $16 for all the food on that plate. The place wasn't crowded yet I had to wait a while to even be noticed and then seated. My friend's burger seemed really overcooked to me but he didn't complain. Ketchup bottle was empty, my omelette was kind of dry and the avocado toast with eggs over medium wasn't special. With dining out being more money, I expect food to be above average. We got to the Station House at prime brunch time and it was crowded with a wait, but we expected it. Host said 40 minutes but it was more like 20. He seated us and a very friendly waitress took over from there. I got the Chorizo Eggs Benedict and it was outstanding! My side of extra crispy bacon was cooked to perfection. Hubby got the cowboy chicken sandwich (no bun) and loved it. All the food was fantastic. The ambience, like a cool diner with an old train station theme, was perfect and we loved it. I work in Cranford and Cranford Station house was on my list for two yrs now. I finally decided to give them a try. We walked in and stood at front cash register. We stood there for like 3 mins,No one greeted us so I initiated conversation and asked how long the wait was for a table. They stated 35 mins and we said ok and gave our name and sat down in the waiting area. 5 mins later the guy that said 35 mins came and offered the bar. I miss heard back because the back had two empty table clearing up. As I made my way there my friend said no the bar he said. So We sat at the bar where the first waitress came and said hello gave no name. We wanted Minosas but no Liquor in establishment. I didn't know what I wanted to drink and my friend ordered Pumpkin Cappuccino. Which she stated tasted like dirty water. We asked again to be seated in the empty booth behind us. They are small booths not long booths so they comfortably would seat two people. Mike said "Sorry Saturdays & Sundays are busy days". Ok that has nothing to do with the fact that we were willing to wait 35 mins for a table and chair not the bar. No customer is better than then next so if I was willing to wait to sit where we wanted to sit why are you denying this for customers that haven't arrived yet? That was so off putting. We are the one's choosing to spend money here I expect better accommodations. Anyways after the 3rd try he said you can go pick a table in the back. We sat in the back and was greeted by Foulli lovely waitress who took our orders promptly. I ordered Hot chocolate which tasted watered down but beautiful whip cream and caramel drizzle like I requested. We order French toast and scrambled eggs w/ cheese and my friend had turkey bacon. My eggs had a shell in it and by time the waitress came back for me to tell her I no longer wanted the eggs because I was done with my French toast. I eat them together.
