But....I've had it 4mo and have already had the motor replaced and now waiting on a new battery....plus new tires....granted its all been on them as far as cost BUT....its only a 2024. But Zack was so charming and knowledgeable about vehicles in general, that he had.me wanting to buy within minutes! I was very impressed by him. My husband took our car in for a routine oil change. Oil change $75.00. Got an estimate for a blower motor and blower mower resistor ($621+ $333). The following day, we drove around as normal, but when we got home realized there was oil all over our garage floor and they had not put our oil cap back on. Husband drove back over to Andy Mohr Hyundai, was told that they 'lost' the oil cap and would have to order a new one. They called NAPA and asked them to bring one over. So my husband waited and also asked them to make sure the engine was clean and there were no obvious signs of damage/danger. Anyway, he asked to speak with a manager and was told a manager would call, almost a week later he hasn't had a reply. Husband would just like to share concerns about this, understands it is a mistake but could have resulted in a more costly issue. I'm not a car person, so don't really know the ins and outs, but feel that the customer service is lacking in follow-up and would be concerned if something that simple is overlooked and then 'lost' what larger errors could be and have been made. SO... looking for recommendations for new dealership and service for our cars - we are also looking to buy a new car, but not from here. read more

BUYER BEWARE! I should have done more research on this dealership and read the countless negative reviews before traveling 3 1/2 hrs to buy this car. The first red flag was when I got my out of the door price sheet and it included $1,098 worth of dealer add ons. When asked I was told by my salesman, Justin that it's mandatory for all vehicles leaving their lot have $299 etching, and $799 paint protection. I requested to decline these add ons. Justin went to his manager and was told no. This didn't sound right so I contacted a colleague at the Federal Trades Commission and he informed me that Andy Mohr is in violation of the FTC' CARS regulation which is Combating Automotive Retail Scam. The CARS Rule requires dealers to get consumers' express, informed consent before charging them for anything. When I contacted the General Manager Rish, he agreed to take off the $799 charge but said I had to pay for the $299 etching fee. He then informed me that Illinois requires a $30 title expediting fee. Which also isn't true. I contacted the Illinois Secretary of State office and they said this was not true, it's a typical dealer ploy. I spoke with their finance person and he agreed that the $30 title expediting fee was not mandatory. To this day, Andy Mohr is still charging customers $1,098 extra for this unnecessary and unwanted add ons. It's listed at the bottom of their used car description. I am in the process of filing an official complaint with the Federal Trades Commission against Andy Mohr. The second red flag was when I'd asked the salesperson, Justin to do a walk around and take pictures of any blemishes, dents or scratches, since I'm buying the car sight unseen from a handful of pictures on line. He came back to me showing a picture with one very small scratch. When I picked the car up, it was wet since it had been raining. It was until I got back home that I realized there were heavy scratches on the top of the tailgate that looks like from a garage door. I immediately sent Justin and Rish emails with pictures of the damage and neither bothered to respond. These guys are quick to take your check but service after the sale is unsatisfactory. Not at all impressed. My car's passenger side front brakes were making noise and there was a noticeable vibration coming from that area as well. Service advisor called and said nothing was wrong with my vehicle and asked if I still wanted the front alignment since nothing was wrong with my car. I questioned him that nothing was wrong and he said "Cars make noises as they get older". That was some keen insight there. When they lifted the car, which I would have thought they already did, they then noticed that my lug nuts were loose and that my brake pad was sliding around inside the caliper that was also loose. He asked me if I wanted that fixed along with the alignment which I course did want. Car now drives fine. read more

We purchased 3 yes three vehicles within a few months 2 in one day , my wife had a couple dings in her door and was promised by the salesman and finance manager it would be taken care of . After several emails and calls still nothing no response won't contact her nothing. I bought a truck on a rainy day and of course tires were wet and never noticed the dry rotting on the tires with a date code of 2015 on them tread is not terrible but tires are very dry rotted , a week later I called and emailed and even went down there , and wasn't happy about this . Sales manager was so rude I felt like it was my fault and finance manager did nothing just stood there letting me get talked to like I was a piece of shit. They sell tell you what you want to hear take your money make false promises, And bam they don't give a crap sales done. AVOID THEM THEY ARE NOT HONEST AND TALK DOWN TO YOU. I went to Andy Mohr Hyundai to get three repairs done on a vehicle. The customer service was outrageous. The lack of professionalism and training was very prevalent. I communicated with a service representative and was treated less than a customer. After I was told my vehicles service was complete I arrived and left my pregnant wife in my truck while I was inside getting paperwork done and getting the service paid for. In the middle of payment my pregnant wife ran into the building because one of the Andy Mohr Mechanics decided he was going to get into my truck with my pregnant wife and move it from where it was park. My wife proceeded to yell at the mechanic to get him to stop but he refused to do so. I was then treated poorly and wasn't addressed by anyone about the Incident. I had to find the parts manager who proceeded to tell my scared wife and I "if you want me to fire him in front of you that's not going to happen." This was a very distasteful,scary, and unprofessional incident. We weren't given any apologies for what happened. I don't recommend going to this location. We also reach out to the general manager who told us the employee was just written up and that's it. read more

Sadly Travis Harris, Sales Representative, has ruined my car buying experience with this dealership. While I am pleased with the vehicle I was sold since I drove it off the lot my experience has been at best crummy. Dec 31st -- The keyless ignition fob stopped working within 10 minutes of driving it off the lot. Called Travis and he said I could bring it back immediately or bring it back when the service department was open the following week. He said they would then charge me for a replacement battery. Sadly a nasty phone call to Hyundai Sales Manager was what it took to have it fixed on Jan 1st. Jan 3rd -- I attempted to used the "remote starter" for the first time and it did not start the vehicle. I notified Travis that I would like it repaired when I brought my Pathfinder in for Zeibart Treatment and a promised paint touch up Jan 7th -- Notified by Travis that he did not schedule the touch up paint with Brown's(?) and that he had scheduled my Zeibart for the incorrect day. So now I have had to schedule my own touch up appointment and try to get Zeibart to do my treatment on Thursday, Jan 10th. I do not like having to be nasty but to get what I have been promised I have spent at least an hour firing off nasty email. I think it has been resolved but have very little faith that Andy Mohr Hyundai will carry though with it's promises. Why is this so difficult? read more

WARNING Do not buy from this dealership Andy Mohr Kia located in Indiana. My son found a vehicle online, he worked with a sale person by the name of Sean that he was texting. He knew the vehicles my son wanted to buy and knew when my son was coming. My son drove 3 hours to look at it and test drove it, as soon as he gets out the car after test driving it, the sale guy tells him the car is sold and that the people are inside signing the papers. I contacted the dealership the next day to ask if the car was still available, they said yes. To my surprise, I asked "are you sure?" And I was told it was... thats when I proceeded to explain what happen and suddenly the sales person needed to call me back.... Today I get a call, and the manager tells me it was sold that day to someone that was waiting to get approved to buy that car but told me they do not hold cars so if my son was test driving the car and working with a sales person.. how did the other person already come, testing drive, got approved, and already signing papers to purchase it? Because my son drove 3 hrs to test drive a car that was "still available"... he was never told before he made the drive that it was pending approval, or that anyone was test driving or buying it.. had that been communicated, he wouldn't have drove 3 hours! What's even more confusing is why was I told the the next day that the car was still available? Sounds like they saw an 18 year old and didn't want to mess with it. The manager who called me to address the concerns I had was extremely rude, cut me off and wouldn't even let me explain anything. Needless to say, I wasn't having it and hung up. Before I bought my car, they were blowing up my phone. Now that I bought a car, not one word. I feel like that is bad customer service; especially when they have several people standing around with their legs crossed, scrolling on their phones. Horrendous experience. I blame myself for following through Over 45 days and title hasn't been processed. I have called three different times as well as sent a email with no response. Discovered Car had underbody damage once I purchased and brought home. I will be trading this vehicle in and my three teenage kids will defiantly be buying from another dealer. Just bought a car from here and my wife and I both left very impressed with the place. We felt listened to, instead of them trying to push us to a particular car they needed to sell. We didn't buy a car there our first visit, but our salesman (Jason) did a good job at helping us find the perfect car for our needs within the budget we gave him. The leasing consultant (Gerard) was also very polite and worked to get us the best financing possible and got things squared away very quickly. In the past at other dealerships the buying process has taken all day, but once we found the car we wanted to buy I felt like we were in and out very quickly. I am newer to the area and although this is the first time I've bought a car from them, I know where I'll be going when it's time to upgrade our other car. read more

I took my car in yesterday because my check engine light was on. They told me it would be a $600 repair, and I had to trust them be wise I didn't know anything about that part. They also told me that I needed all new tires, that my back tires were "almost bald." TWO different people told me this while I was there. The tires looked fine to me, so I declined and took the car to Goodyear, where I bought them just a year ago. They confirmed that my tires are in great shape and have a couple more years at least. They provided only one key. when I drove off the lot, I noticed the gas tank was on empty. I believe if you want to have good customer service and good word of mouth. Providing another key for the automobile at their expense and starting the customer out with a full tank of gas would be a great start. First the positive. Sean in sales is outstanding. He is knowledgeable, professional and personable. This dealership should look to hire people with his attributes. Thank you Sean for working with me even though we couldn't make a deal. The dealership itself has all the negative stereotypes of a typical car dealer full of misleading claims to undesirable closing tactics. First, they have banners in the lot promoting certified used Honda cars. After looking at multiple used cars, none of which were certified, I was told it's too expensive for the dealership to certify so not many are actually certified. Bait and switch? Take down your certified used advertising. Next, I was ready to buy a car and was negotiating a price. When we were getting close on a number, the required "manager" comes out to close the deal and explains a mistake was made on the pricing of the car I was looking at and it should have been marked up a couple thousand. He said he would honor the listed price on the car that day because "he had to" since that was the price listed online. He said otherwise that price would be going up the next day. Well, several days later and the same price is listed online for this car. In other words, not mincing words, he literally lied and I knew it at the time. He had an air of false authority, doing me a favor for allowing the car to be sold, etc... Who does this act work on? Finally, the sales guys other than Sean are just hovering around in a pack goofing off, joking with each other, in our way when walking the lot looking at cars. It was like a bad frat gathering. I don't write negative reviews often or lightly, but this wasn't just bad it was offensive. I suggest this entire team take a day off and travel to Fishers of Honda to get proper training on how to treat people. No wonder I actually spent a bit above my budget with them due primarily to their high level of service and professionalism. read more

About a month ago, my husband and I bought a used car from this dealership. Our sales rep was Travis Harris and our paperwork Mgr was Girard. The car works perfectly fine. Our issue was with after buying the car. When we bought the car, we were only given one key and we were guaranteed in writing from the dealership that they could order us a new key at their cost. This never happened. First they told us that their "key guy" only comes every other week. They said they didn't even know what time he comes in. They couldn't even tell us what weeks he comes in. After more than a dozen phone calls to the dealership and hassling and hassling them for information, we finally found out when the key guy is there. Then they tell us the cost is $120, that's $80 more than they guaranteed it would cost us. We have now chose another place in town to get us the key we need for cheaper cost than the ridiculous price the Andy Mohr dealership was going to charge us. It seems like once they sold us the car, their customer service ended there. They didn't care about assisting us any longer, because they already got us to spend our money. Though we are happy with the car, we surely won't be buying any more vehicles from them and encourage any future vehicle buyers to avoid buying from them in the future as well. The dealership should've been thankful we even bought the car after my husband and the sales up got pulled over by police during the test drive because the sales rep didn't properly display the temp plate in the window. read more

If I could give this dealership 0 stars, I would. After 2 days of have a 2019 Ioniq, I realized it was too small for me during long drives to work and back. I took it back with under 300 miles on the car with the intent of getting a larger Hyundai. They refused to do anything for me because I financed the vehicle with an outside lender and didn't pay cash. I've called the finance company and they hadn't received any paperwork yet. I called Hyundai's corporate office and filed a complaint. The corporate office stated that the dealership was wrong and should be able to take the car back. I'm furious now and I'm stuck in a car that I don't want anymore and it's only been 3 days since I bought it. Oh yeah...Hyundai has a 3 DAY ASSURANCE PROGRAM where a car can be exchanged if brought back in 3 days from signing and if it has less than 300 miles on it. I don't know what to do other than caution other prospective car buyers to beware of Andy Mohr and their staff. Horrible customer service and treatment. read more

I had my tires changed and they fixed the alignment. Afterwards, I heard brake grinding. I returned to see if they messed something up and they insisted it was nothing they did, they "didn't even touch the brakes," but if I wanted it fixed it would be $500+. I left and had my dad look at it. My dad found a spring and pin on my brake that THEY MISPLACED and it was grinding against the E Brake. so it WAS their error, as I suspected. they refused to fix their mistake, insisting they didn't make one. This review is mostly for the Hyundai department, but i have heard similar things about the Honda department. From what i have observed, the Hyundai side is the "red headed stepchild" and not given the best or brightest folks. Here is a list of my experiences: 1) 12/2011 I was looking for the new (at the time) Hyundai Veloster. They had one, and spent an entire day trying to lowball me on my trade in and had me running all over both dealerships. End of the day arrived with zero accomplished. 2) 6/2012 Got a phone call stating that the car with the color i wanted was now there and in stock. I told the person on the phone that my experience was much better with a dealer in Greenwood so i wasnt interested. I received a nasty email whining that I had promised that particular salesman that i would buy one from him, and what kind of person was i, ect. 3) 5/2013 I ran over a large chunk of tree at night, and needed some suspension and wheel repairs done. Had the car taken to Stephens for the repairs. Was told it would take at least 2 weeks to fix the car. My insurance company informed me that they had a track record at Stephens of charging sometimes double what other places would charge for parts. They recommended i have the car taken to Curry GMC on the East side for repairs. Curry had the car done in less than a week and a half. 4) 2/2015 the construction on the I-69 interchange caused some large potholes, which destroyed my drivers side tire at 4:30am. Since the car was under warranty for towing, i had it taken to Stephens, so i could get to work with at least some of the day left. I purchased 4 new tires and had the alignment done for the princely sum of $800+, but grudgingly i will admit the car handled well after that. What i did NOT know was that ONE OF THE SERVICE PEOPLE CROSS THREADED A LUG NUT. I found this out when I went to look at the brakes this past weekend and snapped a stud off. The force necessary to impact wrench a cross threaded lug nut far exceeds normal torque tolerance, so this was obviously a case of not caring. 5) 12/2015 I got a check engine light on at 99,500 miles, and because I didnt want to go over 100,000 miles and void any warranty, i took it right there to have them check it out. I was told that unless major things are wrong, i.e. the engine, or transmission completely not working, I was wasting my time. They wouldnt even put it on a diagnosis machine, and tried to have me schedule a time a week later. I ended up taking it to AutoZone and they found the issue, and i fixed it myself. I vow to never go to Stephens Hyundai/Honda ever again. For anything. read more

To start off with, I had been in contact with Brianne (the person in the online sales department) in regards to the possible purchase of a 2018 Hyundai Kona. When I got to the dealership, I was greeted by Zach. After I had explained to Zach that I had been looking at the Hyundai Kona, and that until I went to look at the car in person - that I did not realize the Kona was the same size (maybe even slightly smaller than my previous car - a 2011 Kia Soul) also that I needed something a little bit bigger than the Kona and Soul. We then briefly discussed the payment range that I was able to afford. Shortly after, Zach suggested that I look at the Hyundai Tucson. The first 2 were used. With one of them having only 35k miles. After I took both used Tucson's for a test drive. Zach and the individual working in the finance department (I'm sorry I do not remember their name at this time) they suggested about getting a new (2018) Hyundai Tucson that the rebates/ promotions for the new car would help with the cost (because I still had "negative equity" because of the Kia Soul). Zach, as well as the finance department, Along with the parts/ service department (I also had some questions I wanted to ask them), and everyone else were really helpful. While I know it's possible that it was simply their way of "making a sale". I do think that they were truly doing what they could to help me with getting my new s.u.v. (Considering I've personally had very good results with Andy Mohr's dealerships- both Kia and Hyundai. ) read more

Salesperson was poorly groomed, cocky, and condescending. Although we showed obvious interest in buying a new Civic, the salesperson did not follow up with us once, nor by phone nor by email, in a two week period. Called him back twice, left messages, and calls were not returned. Ended up buying a 2012 Civic from Terry Lee Honda in Avon, who were fabulous: professional, attentive, and accommodating without ever making us feel like we were an inconvenience. read more

I've always had good experiences with my service at andymohr Bloomington but this last oil change really blew it. When I went to check out I was told, ok yours took 6 qts so I was charged for 6, Im thinking hmmm, it should only be 5, but they are the professionals so I went with it. On the way home I kept thinking, it's only a 4 cyl, why 6qts ? When I pulled into my driveway I pulled out my other oil change receipts, each one said 5qts, now I'm panicking, they overfilled my car !! An extra qt of oil, is a lot which with engine pressure it could blow a seal or gasket, (my car only has 9,500 miles) I immediately called, voicemail, called 4 other times, voicemail again ! I drive back in and they call back, I explain my panicking concern, and am told oh, yours takes 5.2qts so we charged for 6, why in the world would you SAY it took 6qts and PUT 6qts on the receipt instead of used 5.2, charged for 6??? AND on ALL my other oil change receipts saying 5qts. It's not that I mind paying for my .20 extra oil, which my car could do without, but explain to me it only took 5.2 but we have to charge for 6. If I continue my service there I will be saying 5 quarts of oil only please !! read more

I brought my 2000 Honda Accord to Stephens Honda for fixing an issue associated with the airbag (manufacturer's recall). The repair team was prompt - I was told to come at 11am, they began the repair almost immediately, and were done within their estimated time frame of forty-five minutes. Each individual I dealt with was more pleasant, polite, and informative than the last: there were no hard-sales tactics to have additional work done on my vehicle. In addition to performing the required maintenance, the mechanics also inspected and investigated (at my request) a couple of issues I was having with my car. They provided a clear assessment of what the costs would be, and what their suggestions were. There was no pressure. The showroom and waiting area were clean and well-stocked with coffee, cookies, magazines, and a television -- waiting was a pleasure, as there was also wireless internet available for use. Finally, the follow-up care demonstrates clear above-and-beyond customer service: before returning my car to me, they ran it through the car wash on the premise (free of charge!) and left a flower on my dashboard. Within a week, I received two communications thanking me for my business. Really incredible care for my car, excellent service, and all-around great. read more

Made an appointment for 3:30 to get a free recall-repair on my Elantra's power steering. I got there at 3:25, was told my car would be finished by 4:30 at the latest, so I waited around. At 4:30 I asked for an update, and they said that my car hadn't been worked on yet. It went in to be worked on at 5:00pm, and wasn't finished until 6:00. Why even make an appointment? I took my Hyundai in on a Monday for two things: a safety recall for the driver's seat and an issue with the car not starting. Before bringing it in, I called and the service tech told me that he would most likely be able to get to it that afternoon or on Tuesday. I bring it in and explain the problems to someone else. He tells me that they don't have the part for the seat recall and they need to order it, so the earliest that they could do it would be the next day. On Tuesday, they call and tell me that the alternator needs replaced. On Wednesday around noon, they call to say that the car wouldn't start to bring it in to change the alternator, so it's likely something additional to the alternator. They will do a diagnostic to check. I hear nothing else for several hours. I call back around 5pm to check, and they say they haven't figured it out. They should know something in the morning. Thursday, I haven't heard anything, so I call around 11:15am. They haven't figured it out. It seems that they haven't even hooked it up to the diagnostic to see what's draining the battery. I ask if they've fixed the seat. The guy says he doesn't know. He checks and the answer is no. At this point, he wants to replace the alternator, even though he says that this might not fix my original problem. I tell him to just fix the seat, which is under a safety recall warranty and takes about an hour to do, and do nothing else. I pick the car up that afternoon and they charge me $50 for the diagnostic. It doesn't bother me if they really don't have time or want to work on my car, but they weren't straightforward about this from the beginning. Every time I talked to someone, I got a different answer. I ended up wasting 3 full days to get nothing except a safety recall fix that takes an hour, and a diagnostic charge of $50. read more

They did not honor the price we had agreed upon in writing (via text with the sales rep) claiming there was a "misunderstanding" as well as the vehicle having 3000 miles more than their listing claimed. They did not sufficiently compare loan options based on their pull of our credit report prior to authorizing each option to pull our credit individually so we wound up with 6 different hard inquiries even though we have great credit. The financial office screwed up our sales tax (we live out of state and should not have paid local state taxes) costing us an additional $500 that I now have to get corrected myself. Our title paperwork (that we paid them to handle for us) was not only late, but incorrect causing extra fees and extra headaches. By far the worst experience I've ever had, and this was not our first time buying a vehicle. Incompetent from start to finish with zero remorse or interest in making it right. Even thinking about dealing with this place is bad for my blood pressure and gives me stress headaches. We should have just walked away when the price wasn't right. read more

My niece is starting out after college, got a job, and needed a vehicle. Against my advice, she went here instead of to a local dealer I recommended. They sold her a Ford Escape, less than 100k miles on it, and didn't offer extended warranty until AFTER she paid for vehicle, which she did not have money for. She drove the car 2 WEEKS before the transmission went out. The same transmission they told her they had serviced and checked out before she bought vehicle. She called them multiple times (she lives 50 mi away), of course the salesman was never available, and never called her back. I told her to go there in person, but she had no transportation. Oh, and they never sent her the title, they say they did, but she didn;t. So now SHE has to apply for duplicate! And pay for "new' (rebuilt) transmission. And find another way to get to work. Bottom line: They do not stand behind what they sell. They do not communicate. I would NEVER go there for any reason. read more

I had my Honda Fit serviced here for the first time last week after moving from California. I was able to get a same-day appointment, and Mike at the service desk was very helpful and didn't seem upset that we added several more services than I had originally requested. While the final bill was more than I had originally anticipated spending, I never felt like I was being ripped off or sold unnecessary services. I will continue to bring my car back for service here, and I will more than likely purchase any further vehicles if I am still in the Bloomington area by that time. read more

I wish I could give them 0 stars, but it is apparently impossible. This is a review for their 'sales' department. This dealer first told me they found the car I wanted in the color I wanted and, when the day came for me to pick it up, the car was not there (and the salesman that said it was fine for me to come and pick it up was not in either). Latter I found out that they did not even find the car that I asked for and then they kept trying to sell me a different color car. Their staff was generally unfriendly (with the exception of the cashier that refunded me without giving me trouble) and I find their service unacceptable. Drive to Evansville if you want a Honda (or any other place...but do not waste your time with this dealer). Evansville Honda found the car I wanted in the color I wanted in less than 2 hours - both first and second options for color, and is having it shipped in 2 days (Stephens took over 2 weeks to NOT find me the right vehicle). Evansville (d-patrick is the name of the dealer) had better financing options and gave me also a better price and lower financing rates. Stephens gives a bad image to Honda - their financial people were rude and condescending (funny that I read the same thing in a different review as I was writing) and their sales people were just terrible. After they tried to sell me a different color, they also tried to sell me a model from the previous year (also in the wrong color). I do not recommend this dealer and hope honda does something about it. read more
