So I have visited this place a few times. It suppose to be open at 5 am many times I have beaten the cashier to work. They are often out of several items. It makes no sense to me that at 5 am you are starting off with limited items, plus with the cashier coming in late very last minute my pause for concern is are hands be washed are containers being wiped down? Andy's is my favorite donuts in the area hands down. Just simple, not complicated, good old fashioned donuts! Whether is a standard glazed, an old fashioned, a cake donut, or an apple fritter, Andy's has you covered. More donuts than bagels! That being said I was all around impressed. There were all the donut variations you can think of. I ordered a glazed twist and a fritter! Both were fresh and flavorful. This has been my favorite donut store for years. I lived in that neighborhood over 10 years ago and still come here for my donuts and bagels. Everyone is always so nice here. The food is always fresh and fair priced. They do prefer cash though bc the cost of donuts compared to card machine costs are ridiculous. The inside is your basic donut store, a few tables and chairs lots of drink coolers. Glad I now work in this area so I can come here more often again. read more

Best donuts in town. Live the chocolate old fashioned. But they do run out about mid-morning sometimes. The apple fritters are the best I've had. Crunchy on the outside edges, yet soft and yummy on the inside. Round chocolate donut with custard filling is a treat as well. Service is efficient. Not very chatty, but helpful. Inside has a few tables but maybe they could make it look a little more inviting to stay and enjoy your goodies. Two thumbs up for Andy's donuts! read more

Where can you find an Apple Fritter better then here! All the donuts are so good and even better when you get them warm and fresh . This place has always been my most favorite to get the apple fritter especially, it's so tasty with crunchy edges and a soft sweet apple flavor ! Not to heavy just absolutely amazing. I ordered one today and wish I got at least two!! I didn't make it to take a pic of my donuts bc I ate them as soon as I entered my vehicle. I always get the jelly filled donuts and sugar donuts. The donuts are so soft and perfect. I almost don't want to share this place ! But... my secret favorite donut place is here. Just FYI the early bird gets the worm so make sure you get here early enough before they run out . I got here around 7:45am so my fritter was nice and warm , just made . Yum ! I was RIPPED OFF at Andy's Donuts! I can't believe he would go so low to steal a $1.99 & $0.50 from customers. I think he is doing this all the time. I will confirm my accusations with photographic evidence. The situation was very simple. I went in to buy a dozen donuts. Nothing else. I asked how much I owed & the lady's said $19.65. I Immediately told her that the math does not add up and asked for a receipt. She refused to print a receipt. I argued until I got a printed receipt. The receipt made no sense whatsoever. I asked her why she was charging me for a newspaper for a $1.99, and what was the $0.50 charge for? She refused to answer and just demanded the $19.65. I asked her to explain item by item since they were charging me 3 items, and I only bought one item. She acted like she couldn't speak english. The owners wife came to the cash register. She got angry and told me to shut up and just pay my bill. She took the receipt, but I snatched it back. At that point, Andy came over and asked what the problem was. I told him that the receipt didn't add up, and I wanted an explanation. He printed another receipt with exactly the same amount. But this time, there was no description on the items. They were printed as department 1. Three different times, but the amounts were the same as before. Andy got super mad and told me to pay my bill and shoved the donuts at me. I took the donuts, and I gave him the $20.00 bill. He told me to fuck off. He pointed at the door and told me to get out! Then he threw the change at me. Delicious donuts! Sampled a cinnamon roll, and a few other standards recently on a Monday around 9am. They had a great selection, above average I'd say. Service was efficient and friendly. They did stack the donuts as some other reviewers mentioned. For a short trip home it wasn't a big deal but I did find it a bit unusual. I'd prefer to pay slightly more and have a bigger box. read more

Okay The donut was OK. Pretty fresh considering it was 2PM and they close at 4, but I was kinda' flabbergasted at the price: $1.85 for an old fashioned. I guess it's been a while since I bought a donut but I figured it might be around $1.25-$1.50. Maybe $1.85 is a good deal. I really don't like giving negative reviews. Especially to a local small business. But sometimes it's necessary, and in addition to helping consumers make choices, I know constructive criticism can help a business to do better. So here goes... we came here expecting to see donuts and a good selection of bagels, given the name of the business. There were only three kinds of bagels, which seemed odd, but they had everything bagels, which we love. My husband asked for butter in his bagel - no butter. Also seemed very odd for a place marketing themselves as a bagel shop. Also no peanut butter or jelly or anything else. Only cream cheese. And only one flavor/type. But ok - fine. He ordered it dry. I got a bagel with cream cheese. Surely the amount of cream cheese one should put on a bagel is subjective, but this was the smallest amount I've ever seen anywhere. Just not right. I got coffee, too. I wasn't expecting much; it's a donut shop, not a coffee shop. But the coffee was barely luke warm at 8am. The container of half-and-half had to have been milk, not cream. The milk container was milk, for sure (looked to be non-fat). But the cream wasn't cream. I'm confident of that. And, as expected, the flavor was pretty awful. Even for a donut shop. They also only take cash, which made sense in the beginning stages of Covid, but seems odd at the end of 2022. I personally never have cash on me, but my husband did, so we were ok there. Just know you can't use a card there. They had signs up saying they no longer take plastic because of "rising supplies". Not sure what that means. It's not a huge deal that they only take cash, but it's worth mentioning. Personally, I would rather see them raise their prices a percent to more than cover the credit card processing fees. Or have a minimum purchase price to be able to use a card. Now for the good-the donuts were great! The dough was very soft with a good bit of chewiness but not too much. The flavor was good, too. They also have a nice selection of types and flavors. This is also a subjective thing because my husband and I thought the donuts were fab, while my son wasn't a big fan of that type of dough. But we ignore him because he is a silly teen :) Try the donuts. Support this business that way - but don't get coffee and be aware of the fact this is decidedly NOT a bagel shop despite the name of the biz. read more

These guys are always quick and getting it right. It shows that they make everything fresh. Their bagels are making me drool just thinking about them right now and their donuts melt in your mouth. 1st timer here sent by my co-workers for a donut run. Ordered a dozen and the lady behind the counter picked it. What a mistake that was. When I got back, opened it up and we all stared at it in shock. Not one glaze, sugar, or maple. It's 6 am! They gave us all the ones that don't sell. It was my 1st time there and last. Never I have ever ordered a dozen donuts and not have the usual favorites. For $18 give us some decent favorites! Maybe I'll go order another dozen, open it and make them take them back so I can pick my own. Don't let them pick for you, all they give you is the ones they probably end up throwing out at the end of the day. I can't eat donuts like I used to, if you looked at me you'd doubt that comment. Andy's donuts is a great neighborhood donut shop. I've been coming here for years. The donuts are always fresh (not those pre-made, stale donuts you'll buy at those chain donut restaurants). My favorite is the apple fritter. It's large, crispy on the outside, soft in the middle...an excellent fritter. You really can't go wrong w/ any donut here. Staff is extremely friendly and the store is always clean. In my opinion, it's the best donut shop in Santa Rosa. Tan's in nearby, but they're not nearly as good as Andy's. read more

This has been a favorite place of mine to get donuts for quite a while since having my office in north Santa Rosa. The driveways are a bit steep so if you have a lowered car you will want to enter at an angle. My Cadillac even on the 7-11 side. I have always been greeted promptly and with a friendly smile even when I wasn't quite sure what I wanted. The guys at my work have not been disappointed at all with the variety I bring back. They also have a great selection of beverages for the not so morning people. The coffee is delicious and always still hot by the time I get back to the office. read more

I bought two plain donuts and one bagel (with nothing on it), and it was over $7, which seems ridiculously overpriced, even for Santa Rosa. And they only had one flavor of bagel (jalapeño cheddar). A business shouldn't call itself "Andy's Bagels and Donuts" and then have only one kind of bagel -- then you're just a donut shop who also happens to sell one kind of bagel. The donut selection was so-so-- your basic vanilla, chocolate, maple, coconut, fritters. I'm wavering between one and two stars because the donuts I had were decent and not greasy. I used to go to Andy's Donuts quite a bit when I lived nearby. I moved away for a while but am now back in town and stopped in today. I bought six donuts and the cost was $13!!!! (This includes a $0.50 charge for using a card.) At Safeway in Santa Rosa I can get a similar donut for $0.99 each. Great people, great place, great donuts! Been buying donuts there for years. Every Sunday morning I buy donuts for my church. I call ahead and always hear the friendly "Good Morning Paul". My donuts are ready when I get there. These people have made it through many hardships. Their customer base is a lot of Coffey Park which burned, and then Covid reared it's ugly head. Finally stopped in to this place that looks bland on the outside and is easy to miss at the far right of this tiny shopping center. Glad we did. There weren't a ton of choices when we stopped in but what was there made up for it. The doughnuts are not greasy or too sweet as they often are at other places. Just the right amount of light glaze too. If you're used to overcooked bear claws, you won't find them here. Haven't had one that good in a long time having stopped at doughnut shops from here to Santa Cruz. Will be coming back for my next doughnut craving for sure. read more
