AWESOME SHOP! Andy and his crew are magicians, and super-nice too! We needed a new front bumper, and Andy's shop was recommended by our mechanic. We shopped around, and his pricing was the best. He did a fabulous job. The car looked brand-new. Naturally, due to Murphy's Law, a hit-and-run driver side-swiped us and damaged the new bumper. Andy polished out the paint transfer and touched up the nicks. Icing on the cake: He refused to accept any payment. I have been using them regularly for the last three years since moving to Richmond. I've been going to Andy's Auto body shop since about 1988 and it is now 2025 I'm still a very happy customer.

Most hilarious Road stop I've ever experienced. Story time: I'm leaving dinner with my friend and Andy pulls up next to me and gets me to stop. I was so confused. I had no idea what he was doing or who he was. I looked at him with a confused look on my face and heart sunglasses on, but that did not distract Andy at all. He quickly determined that he wanted to fix by a dented bumper. This bumper have been dented for months. I was trying to find a way to fix it but the repair shop that my insurance had recommended have been blowing me off for months, they were charging me a $500 deductible. It was all bad. Andy was willing to repair my car right there in that parking lot for $200 and I was still sitting in the car. He must've taken him some thing like 20 minutes if that. Right there in the parking lot he fixed my car. Highly recommends. He was professional, quick, and efficient. read more

Have an older vehicle and you need help? I just picked up my precious 1998 Jeep Cherokee yesterday from Andy's Auto Body shop. I'm trying to not be hyperbolic here, so, I'll let you be the judge. I started out calling a different highly rated place that would not even TOUCH my vintage vehicle, and decided to call Andy's thanks to my neighbors on Next Door. WELL. I took it in on a Monday- and it was brand spanking new and ready to go on Thursday. Andy said that he "was lucky." I say- he and his crew are magicians! Vintage doesn't have to mean IMPOSSIBLE. Andy and his staff did an incredible job fixing a dented Mazda bumper in record time and at a fair price. Being a 20-year-old car, finding a replacement bumper in an auto parts salvage yard would be near impossible, but they were able to hammer the dent out, paint and buff and it looks brand new! Unbelievable! I scraped my cars front fender (not bumper) which made it pop out and that side covered with pain. I went to one body shop in Richmond where the guy took pictures an spent half an hour inputtiing data into a computer: estimate $1,500. My next call was to Andy. He was very friendly and asked me to drop over to take a look. He asked if I wanted perfection or a more cosmetic look. I said the latter, he offered $200. About an hour later he came into the office and said it hadnt taken that long, $100. Not only that it looked great. He reattached the fender and removed all the paint. I couldnt believe it. Then I did the same thing, and now my back lights were out. A very friendly guy took the entire back lights apart and showed me the burnt out bulbs then replaced them and put the lights back together. Then he showed me he had also put the fender back again and removed the paint. I was ecstatic and asked him how much I owed him. He said $60. I about fainted. I felt guilty giving him such a small amount. Andy is close to 580, off 23rd Ave I am still in shock. read more

I was referred to Andy's from Premier Auto Body in Pinole. Premier has always provide outstanding service and when I went to them for some custom work, they gave me Andy's number and I could not be happier. After a few calls, we set up an appointment to have the work done. I dropped off the car with one of his employees who was helpful and friendly. I finally met Andy when I picked up my car and you could tell he was the example that his staff follows. We talked about the work they did (which was outstanding) and then talked for a while like we were old friends. If you have any work you want done on your vehicle, this is the place to go. read more

Andy and his team are very skilled, responsive, & honest. My car was considered totaled from an accident so didn't want to put a ton of money into fixing it. I tried a place my insurance recommended and they took my car apart and quoted me 6K which was the cost of the car! I found Andy's on Yelp and he was able to figure out the damage by looking at some photos I had and also through my description from the other shop. He didn't guarantee anything but said he could take a look. Once my car was there, he gave me an amazing quote that was right in my budget and was able to cut a few costs for non-urgent things (like suggesting going somewhere cheaper for paint and bonding some things as opposed to getting a brand new part). He was able to make my car safe to drive AND look good (except for the paint which I'm going to have my car wrapped anyway). Then to top it off they were generous enough to drop my car off to me because I'm a busy mom with kiddos and had a hard time getting there before the shop closed. Andy's deserves way more than 5 stars. First of all, they allowed me to drop of my car at a special hour when they were not open as I was heading out of town. They also matched a lower estimate for me (and took off about $10/hour from labor costs, equalling about $180, since the person who rear-ended me wanted to pay out of pocket), as it was much much more convenient to get my car fixed here than in Sacramento where the other estimate was from. In ADDITION, they also fixed not only my rear bumper, which was under the estimate, but also two smaller dents from in a parking lot and from a bicyclist with no extra charge!!!!!! AMAZING. I have taken my car to Andy's twice and both times have been BEYOND amazed with their service. I went as far as to make a yelp account just for this review! read more

I wanted a spoiler added to my Hyundai Elantra that I recently purchased, so I had my dad drop by the shop while I was at work to get an estimate and/or an appointment to get the spoiler installed and fix some gravel chips on the hood. By the time I got home from work the spoiler was installed and many of the gravel chips fixed for a very reasonable price! He told my dad he didn't do the very tiny chips because it would be too time consuming and expensive, but instead explained how we could fix the chips ourselves. I may decide to have the hood painted instead, but I appreciate that the fellow my dad spoke to didn't use our lack of knowledge as an opportunity for his own profit. It really shows the integrity of this shop which I hate to say is rare. Since I wasn't able to personally speak with the gentlemen at the shop who worked on my car I wanted to take time to write a review and thank you myself. I can't say enough great things about this shop! I'm surprised there are not more wonderful reviews about you. I will refer everyone I know! read more

For the past 10 years I have only trusted Andy's Auto Body with my vehicles. Although, I live in Walnut Creek it is worth going to Richmond to see them as I have not found this kind of service at any place in my area. They always fix the problem properly and quickly. I have never had to go back to them to redo anything. They even pulled a dent out of a different part of my car at NO COST to me, as a courtesy.
