Came in for a quick lunch based on the recommendations of everyone here on Yelp. Restaurant is super cute and quirky. We were able to sit wherever down and our server was very attentive. Our food came out quick and everything was hot. It was all pretty good, neat place to come to. Hubby ordered the chicken and waffles (not on the menu but we saw it on yelp). He said it was the best crust on his chicken that he's ever had on fried chicken with waffles. A few extra finishing touches would have made me want to give a 5 star review (my BLTA wasn't cut in half, for example), but this is a solid 4-5 star diner. read more

I have been wanting to try Andy's Diner for a while now and I finally did last week! I got the huevos ranchos 3-egg omelet - it was really good. The service was very fast - less than 7 minutes to get my food and the waitress was very nice. She was the only waitress on the floor and she was rocking it! My coffee cup was never empty. So happy we found this spot for breakfast. Solid food and reasonable prices. My husband enjoyed the biscuits & gravy (white cream gravy is the only true way to do this!)-- said he wished there was more gravy. I tried out the chicken & waffle sandwich. The chicken itself was a little dry, wished it was brined or something to make it more moist. But the waffle was solid and those Andy's fries were my favorite!!! They have a great breakfast selection with many of your standard options to choose from. Sizeable portions too. Friendly service. Clean restaurant. Oh em gee! The portions here are HUGE! I had the chicken and waffle sandwich. The chicken was hand-breaded and not from some freezer section of already breaded chicken strips. The waffles were the perfect density. It also came with a maple mayo on top which gave it some extra moisture. And bacon! I cannot forget the bacon! The side of hash browns was also amazing! Upon entering we were greeted right away and were allowed to choose our own seat. We picked a booth for my wife, daughter and I - and the booth was comfortable. The interior seemed to be original and the food did not disappoint. I had the Wagyu steak and eggs breakfast with the (house) Andy's potatoes. One word ~ perfection. I should kick myself in the ass for not coming here sooner!!! We don't frequent downtown Esky very often and just don't think of Andy's probably because of the downtown location. Well, now we have a reason to go downtown!!! Went there for breakfast today as an afterthought as nothing else in town sounded good. First off, the place is (cute as my wife called it) clean and pleasant to dine in . Secondly, the service was friendly , attentive and speedy. Now to the food. I can't imagine getting a bad meal hear EVER, as I just don't think they would let that happen. We both ordered the breakfast platter of eggs, taters and sausage. I now know why they call it a platter!!! Huge portions, presented nicely and cooked to perfection right down to the toast!!! Eggs were perfect and the Andy's potatoes were great, but the sausage ( which I presume is made for both restaurants) was fantastic. Not your little factory made sausage links , but huge delicious homemade sausages. The sausage patties were awesome also and I believe they were an Italian style with a little spice and a good bit of fennel seed which I happen to love. I ordered a hot cake instead of toast and it was a meal in itself. I usually don't like big pancakes and prefer more crepe like cakes, but these were light and fluffy with crisp edges. While trying a new place (well, new to us) we were so pleasantly surprised to find a hidden gem in downtown Escanaba that serves an amazing breakfast and can't wait to try something from their lunch menu!!! We found this via Yelp and are SO GLAD that we did. It's a perfect spot to stop in for lunch. The staff is friendly and personable, the service is lickety split speedy, and the place is super clean. I had a bowl of chili--highly recommend it, not too spicy, not at all bland or boring. My dad had a chicken bacon wrap that he called "delicious" and the fresh chips--hand-cut and fried potato chips, were off the hook. My mom had their special grilled cheese and fries, she proclaimed everything "excellent." Go there immediately, even if you don't think you're hungry. Order those chips! read more

There are two different places in Escanaba with almost the same name of Andy's but this one closes at 3 PM and it does serve breakfast all day and lunch. The food is so good you will think God cooked it. They don't know how to ruin anything. That is just terrible LOL. They are a small family owned place and they are pretty close to the Swedish pancake restaurant but across the street. This is a big gem in Escanaba. The outside is painted lemon yellow and black that's how you know which Andy's it is. They make home fries to die for and if you add onions forget about it LOL read more

What a nice little place to find. Prices are great and sonics the food. It's basic and I enjoy it that way. Come and stay a while while you read the paper and sip coffee or come for a great meal. Burgers are very good for lunches as is the porketa. read more

Good Place for Breakfast This is a good downtown place for breakfast. It's local, fast, and good. We enjoyed Albuquerque Eggs Benedict and eggs with corned beef hash. The corned beef hash is substantially hash brown potatoes, but the corned beef does add nice flavor. I ordered a side of Andy's Potatoes - cubed, fried, with onions - because I didn't understand there would be a lot of potatoes in the hash. You don't NEED to order extra potatoes. The coffee was weak, and tended to go cold quickly. Shawn was excellent with service, and we'd be happy to go back when in Escanaba. read more

If this was only about the food, this would be 5 stars without question. We had an absolutely amazing breakfast, 2 adults and a child, for only $21. Our food was amazing and this will be a stop every time we drive through the area in the morning which is usually 2 to 3 times per year. I had an omelet, my husband had an eggs, sausage, hash browns breakfast, and my son had pancakes (our son is only 15 months so he can't talk, but he vacuumed them right up and ate nearly the entire plate!) Where I only give 4 stars is in the lack of a changing table. There was not a changing table in either the men's nor the women's restrooms. We put our son in the car in his pajamas at 5:30am so by 10, he was in desperate need of a diaper change and I wanted to put clothes on him so he wasn't in his pajama shorts. So my options turned out to be, go back to the car and change him while standing in the pouring rain, change him on the bathroom floor (nope), or the option that I chose which was stand him on the toilet seat and take a wet diaper of a wiggly little boy, half wipe him, and then try to get a new diaper on that same little wiggle monster. Thank god it was just pee!! Otherwise we probably would have left and found another restaurant and not discovered this amazing food! read more
