My family loves having breakfast at Andy's Diner. So much food that we always have leftovers for lunch. Delicious food and I love the Andy's fries. The Cali Baby Babe omelet is my favorite.

I have been wanting to try Andy's Diner for a while now and I finally did last week! I got the huevos ranchos 3-egg omelet - it was really good. The service was very fast - less than 7 minutes to get my food and the waitress was very nice. She was the only waitress on the floor and she was rocking it! My coffee cup was never empty. I believe it was $12 with tip so a good value too. I will definitely try this spot again - maybe for lunch! Thank you!

So happy we found this spot for breakfast. Solid food and reasonable prices. My husband enjoyed the biscuits & gravy (white cream gravy is the only true way to do this!)-- said he wished there was more gravy. I tried out the chicken & waffle sandwich. The chicken itself was a little dry, wished it was brined or something to make it more moist. But the waffle was solid and those Andy's fries were my favorite!!! They have a great breakfast selection with many of your standard options to choose from. Sizeable portions too. Friendly service. Clean restaurant. Would definitely visit here again if I'm visiting the UP.

Quick service, nice waitress and very large portions for just under $30 for two people. I must say I was a bit hesitant to go in as it's dark from the outside, but it's clean on the inside and the food was great. We will definitely be back. Thanks Andy's Downtown Diner for the great food.

Amazing food. They make their own bacon and pork belly. Homemade chips and homemade pickles. Everything was fantastic!!! Very friendly and relaxed. Love love loved it!! What a find! The photo is of my pork belly sandwich w roasted peppers

Great burgers and fries (the only thing I've had on my visits), nice and clean atmosphere, and friendly staff. It's a good place to eat.

No? Nobody? Just me? Damnit. The silver lining? A wonderful breakfast meal and cheap to boot! Since I realized I'm part idiot (and not the good part), I decided to eat breakfast at my accidental restaurant. Mostly because I was already sitting in the booth and did NOT want to admit defeat. And boy howdy, am I glad I did! I ordered the French toast, eggs, and bacon. Two toasts, two eggs, and about three bacons. And a breakfast Coke (which is normal coke, but in the morning). First off, the eggs. I only eat scrambled eggs because I'm a child. Salt and pepper, then into my mouth. I don't like creamy scrambled eggs and I don't like scrambled eggs that get that weird skin on them for cooking too long. These ones were perfect. I garbled them down. My trick is to heavily salt and pepper them THEN cut them up and mix them together to disperse the seasoning. Eggs 10/10 The French toast? Perfect. Good size slices, a ball of butter on top (thankfully enough to spread over all four triangles), and a ramekin of syrup. They were the perfect portions. The FT (French toast) had the best sponginess and fluffiness. French Toast (FT) 10/10 Finally. The bacon. Look. I am a huss for bacon. I'll do some shady sh** for some good bacon. But I ain't going back to prison. I always ALWAYS request my bacon be floppy. Some places call it limp. I call mine floppy. Because I'm a professional. A lot of places struggle on what floppy should look like. I've had floppy bacon I could put through a plate glass window. I've broken a piece of floppy bacon on a table edge and shanked somebody (see prior prison comment). But here? This place? Sweetie pie, I could tie my shoes with this bacon it's so floppy. I could lasso a baby calf with this floppy a** bacon. If you don't believe me, I attached a photo of what floppy bacon should look like. Professional Floppy Bacon 12/10. I would also like to mention the Coke this place served was top tier. It's like it's chilled prior to coming out the fountain dispenser. It just went down SO smooth. Drink some. Also. It's a medium-quiet place. Family friendly. Has that down home look and feel.

The hotel itself has a…read morehistorical look and is located close to the center of downtown, which is small but charming. The check in process was easy and parking while minimal was adequate during my stay. They offer complimentary coffee and water when you walk in which was a nice touch. The elevator is very old and extremely slow and I found myself thinking stairs might be faster. As for the room I had heard ahead of time not to stay on the sixth floor due to reported haunting activity so I was on the fifth. Each room is supposed to have a theme but mine felt rather dull and uninspired. Unfortunately the room was dusty and I found hair in the sink from a prior guest which was off putting. The bed was comfortable and the temperature was cold when I arrived at 62 degrees which I actually liked. The view was nice but the room was very loud in the evenings. I suspect I was right below the sixth floor bar because I could hear chairs dragging and plenty of noise until about eleven or twelve at night. On the positive side the staff was kind and nobody was rude. I also tried their restaurant pub twice and it was excellent. The fish and chips cheese curds and chicken strips were all delicious and I highly recommend eating there even if you are not staying at the hotel. Overall while I appreciated the history the location and the food I would not stay here again. My three star review is more about the cleanliness issues and the constant noise from above. For two nights in a king room the total was eight hundred twenty five dollars and for that price I expected a cleaner room better upkeep and more amenities.
