He gave me a an extremely reasonable estimate to upgrade my exhaust on my Mercedes. I was assuming it was going to be $600 to $800 to my surprise he charge me $200 and I was more than satisfied with the work that he did. His price quote is 50% less than other big chain muffler shops, I paid him in cash, gave me an additional $20 discount, he is no nonsense guy, no beating around the bush, he does not upsell you with anything you don't need, his shop is small, but he has a steady flow of clients every hour, I am very appreciative of his honesty, God bless this man, he is a diamond in the rough. Just an honest, hard-working dude who is a master of his craft. I looked into a couple of "smog specialists" to help me with my smog problem. The first place quoted me $2200-2400, the next place $3100. Andy came highly recommended by my mechanic for my smog problems. Andy quoted me a price that was WAY BELOW these other mechanics. We chatted while he installed my catalytic converter, saying that he got a great deal on the parts. When he was done, he offered me a lower price than he originally quoted, which to my understanding was why he was explaining why he got the better deal. I had come here once before and had some custom work done on my exhaust. It was a good experience. So, I decided to come a second time to get more work done. I showed up a Friday to get a quote and ask if the job could be done, he said he was busy and to come back Tuesday. I show up at opening hours Tuesday and again he says he's busy and won't be able to work on my car. I come again Wednesday I find him in his office and again he says he's busy and can't work on my car. At this point I'll find another place, Customer Service isn't really the best here. Good Luck. I needed something simple welded on my exhaust and i needed it quick (smog test). The first shop i stopped by first argued they needed a diagnostic fee and had a min welding charge of $90...so a minimum of $160 just to start. Well it pays to shop around. I called Andy's number after seeing his reviews here, nice guy! Andy said, "Bring it over right now and worst case scenario I'll charge you $45." A man of his word, he welded up what i needed and it only cost me $40! I just might have to have this guy put an exhaust on my other truck. **UPDATE** Had to have a handful of exhaust parts replaced as well as my catalytic converter...the smog shop's neighbor quoted $900+tax. So I called Andy and again, a man of his word he saved me $350 AND actually fixed a few other things along the way.
