Waited 45 minutes for 2 slices of pizza. Completed unacceptable. Pizza tasted fine (4-stars) But you cannot sell pizza by the slice and take 45 minutes. Ambiance was fine, and I watched an entire half of college basketball and didn't get my pizza.

Always delicious! It's one of our a favorite spots for pizza. We also tried several of their appetizers - Buffalo cauliflower, old bay fries, Brussels sprouts, and chorizo cheese fries. All of them were good, especially liked the balsamic tang with the Brussel Sprouts. The chorizo cheese fries definitely had a kick to them. Their pizzas always deliver with the best crust that is crispy and light. We sat outside and enjoyed the large patio and the service was great! It was a calm, fall Saturday afternoon and our group was there for a couple hours.

Spacious pizza restaurant that also serves beer. It's cool they have a column covered with baseball cards. They have a window at the front that opens up with high table seating so you can face the streets. You have to order via QR code and can choose to close out your tab after you order your drinks or food. There are several private bathroom stalls. They have a huge list of beers you could get. Food availability and pricing depends if there's a Nationals game that day. We got a sausage and pepper pizza for about $28. It was huge and came piping out. We got it with a side of parmigiana cheese and crushed red pepper flakes. It came on a stand with paper plates. Very delicious and flavorful with a great cheese pull. Ample pepper and sausage but could have more. We also got a cardboard to go box. When we asked for water, they gave us water bottles lol. The guy working our table was nice.

Whole Margherita ~ added jalapeños and grilled onions.

This is one of the worst pizza experiences I've ever had. I wish I could give it a negative rating. The pizza looked like it had been picked up from a bus stop in the rain. If you look at Yelp photos of other Margherita pizzas from this location, they look amazing -- but the one delivered to me was a complete disappointment. There was no basil and barely any cheese. The only thing that kept it from being a plain marinara pizza was the jalapeños and onions I added to half. I was genuinely shocked. I asked for a refund, and they only offered 25% off. I would have much preferred a full refund and for them to come pick up the pizza. Extremely disappointing.

I usually enjoy my pizza slices From Andy's but this time I ordered a pie and feel absolutely cheated. There was hardly any cheese on the pie ... these slices $5.00 and I can't imagine anyone spending money on the anorexic pizza I experienced. If you look at my pics there is hardly any ingredients in the pie. Just pie crust and an oz of cheese and sauce. Who Ever made this pizza lacked integrity and pride in what they were doing. Insulting!

I think Andy's does a marvelous thin crust. There's a large selection available here--appreciate that. This spot gets my nod of approval because it's easy to order a single slice. It's getting to be that buying a slice in the DMV is harder and harder to do, and if so, then you're limited to the basics. But not here. The burrata is also first rate, if you go that topping route. The seating and service are pretty good. Being just steps away from Nats Stadium, I enjoy the homage to Major Leage Baseball that's found within. The baseball cards displayed about the place are numerous and interesting. And the artwork of the Racing Presidents is funny. Since this is a partnership between Andy's and Atlas Brew Works, it seems to me that the relationship is a harmonious one. Way to go, Andy & Atlas.

They make for a great appetizer to share with a group of 2-4 people or a perfect small meal if you're not looking for something heavy. Highly recommend giving them a try. Espresso Express - This is an interesting and creative take on an espresso martini. Instead of vodka, they use reposado tequila, which adds a richer and more complex flavor profile. The result is an outstanding cocktail and probably one of the top five espresso-based drinks I've ever had. Without question, this was the highlight of the meal for me. Busy - We arrived around 6:00 PM on a Saturday night during the summer and were pleasantly surprised to walk in and find seating for our group of eight. The restaurant was bustling with people coming and going throughout the evening, but the space is much larger than it appears from the outside, allowing it to handle the crowd well. Pro Tip: If you're on a date or hoping for an easier conversation, ask for seating in the side dining area. It is noticeably quieter than the main dining room and outdoor seating areas. Pro Tip: Don't judge the size of the restaurant from the exterior. The inside is surprisingly spacious and can accommodate larger groups better than you might expect.

Prices looked a bit high just glancing at the menu, but the place was busy and we figured that meant the food would back it up. We were greeted by friendly hosts and seated right away. The restaurant was clean and well cared for, with a diverse clientele, which was refreshing. Staff and atmosphere overall were great and it seems like it'd be a fun spot for happy hour or event nights. My wife had a Spiced Manhattan and I had a very cold beer, which hit the spot on a hot day. We ordered the dry rub smoked wings, which were fantastic, but the menu didn't list a quantity and turned out to be six wings for $24, which felt overpriced for what you get. We also got single orders of beef ribs and beef brisket, along with coleslaw and fries. The ribs were very good but priced high for the amount of meat. The brisket was a bit bland on its own, but a barbecue sauce that came in an unlabeled jar helped it out because that sauce was excellent, whatever it was. Coleslaw and fries both had good flavor and solid portions. Overall, not a bad experience by any means, but the portion sizes felt small for the money. If that's the standard, I can't fully recommend it based on that alone.

Dear reader,…read more Whitlow's at the Wharf is a fantastic addition to the waterfront and an excellent spot when you want good food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere without taking things terribly seriously. The space is huge, with tons of seating, an enormous bar, outdoor areas, and seemingly enough TVs to ensure no sporting event goes unwatched. The food is solid, proper bar fare, with burgers, wings, nachos, and plenty of shareable options. Reviews regularly praise the burgers, nachos, crab dip, and welcoming staff, and the overall vibe is exactly what you want from a bustling neighbourhood watering hole. It can get VERY busy, particularly during games, weekends, and events at The Wharf. Service may understandably slow down a bit when the entire population of Southwest DC appears to have arrived simultaneously, but we have always found the food and atmosphere worth the wait. The waterfront location is another major point in its favour. There are great views, plenty of people-watching, and you are right in the middle of everything happening at The Wharf. It is particularly convenient before or after a show at The Anthem. Overall, Whitlow's is fun, energetic, casual, and reliably enjoyable. Come for a game, grab some drinks and food, embrace the crowd, and settle in. A thoroughly good time.
