Waited 45 minutes for 2 slices of pizza. Completed unacceptable. Pizza tasted fine (4-stars) But you cannot sell pizza by the slice and take 45 minutes. Ambiance was fine, and I watched an entire half of college basketball and didn't get my pizza.

Always delicious! It's one of our a favorite spots for pizza. We also tried several of their appetizers - Buffalo cauliflower, old bay fries, Brussels sprouts, and chorizo cheese fries. All of them were good, especially liked the balsamic tang with the Brussel Sprouts. The chorizo cheese fries definitely had a kick to them. Their pizzas always deliver with the best crust that is crispy and light. We sat outside and enjoyed the large patio and the service was great! It was a calm, fall Saturday afternoon and our group was there for a couple hours.

Spacious pizza restaurant that also serves beer. It's cool they have a column covered with baseball cards. They have a window at the front that opens up with high table seating so you can face the streets. You have to order via QR code and can choose to close out your tab after you order your drinks or food. There are several private bathroom stalls. They have a huge list of beers you could get. Food availability and pricing depends if there's a Nationals game that day. We got a sausage and pepper pizza for about $28. It was huge and came piping out. We got it with a side of parmigiana cheese and crushed red pepper flakes. It came on a stand with paper plates. Very delicious and flavorful with a great cheese pull. Ample pepper and sausage but could have more. We also got a cardboard to go box. When we asked for water, they gave us water bottles lol. The guy working our table was nice.

Whole Margherita ~ added jalapeños and grilled onions.

This is one of the worst pizza experiences I've ever had. I wish I could give it a negative rating. The pizza looked like it had been picked up from a bus stop in the rain. If you look at Yelp photos of other Margherita pizzas from this location, they look amazing -- but the one delivered to me was a complete disappointment. There was no basil and barely any cheese. The only thing that kept it from being a plain marinara pizza was the jalapeños and onions I added to half. I was genuinely shocked. I asked for a refund, and they only offered 25% off. I would have much preferred a full refund and for them to come pick up the pizza. Extremely disappointing.

I usually enjoy my pizza slices From Andy's but this time I ordered a pie and feel absolutely cheated. There was hardly any cheese on the pie ... these slices $5.00 and I can't imagine anyone spending money on the anorexic pizza I experienced. If you look at my pics there is hardly any ingredients in the pie. Just pie crust and an oz of cheese and sauce. Who Ever made this pizza lacked integrity and pride in what they were doing. Insulting!

I think Andy's does a marvelous thin crust. There's a large selection available here--appreciate that. This spot gets my nod of approval because it's easy to order a single slice. It's getting to be that buying a slice in the DMV is harder and harder to do, and if so, then you're limited to the basics. But not here. The burrata is also first rate, if you go that topping route. The seating and service are pretty good. Being just steps away from Nats Stadium, I enjoy the homage to Major Leage Baseball that's found within. The baseball cards displayed about the place are numerous and interesting. And the artwork of the Racing Presidents is funny. Since this is a partnership between Andy's and Atlas Brew Works, it seems to me that the relationship is a harmonious one. Way to go, Andy & Atlas.

Street Parking Only & It's Definitely Hit Or Miss. I Got Lucky & Found A Spot, But It Is Metered So Be Prepared To Pay. This Spot Is Literally A "Side Door" Located On The Side Of Scarlet Oak. Super Unique Setup With Cool Lights That Make It Easy To Spot. It's Different From Your Typical Pizza Place, Which I Actually Liked. Since It Was Monday, They Had Half-Off Pizzas If You Dine In & I Had To Take Advantage Of That. CHEESE PIZZA I Ordered A Cheese Pizza & Lemon Water. This Is Detroit-Style Pizza, So Don't Expect New York Style. It's Thick, With A Generous Amount Of Mozzarella Cheese & Tomato Sauce. Honestly, It Almost Felt Like A Cheesy Bread Situation But In A Good Way. The Crust Was Buttery With A Slight Crisp On The Outside & Soft Inside, Which Was The Perfect Balance. The Ingredients Tasted Fresh, & It Was Very Filling. The Size I Got Came With 4 Slices, & Honestly, 2 Slices Was More Than Enough. I'd Definitely Come Back & Bring My Son This Feels Like A Spot He'd Love, Especially If He's Into Breadsticks & Cheesy Pizza. The Staff Was Decent, Though I Didn't Interact Much. The Overall Setup Is Interesting, A Full Restaurant Vibe Inside With This Separate Pizza Concept On The Side. Different, But It Works. I'm Glad I Finally Tried It, Unique Setup, Solid Detroit-Style Pizza, & A Great Deal If You Catch It On The Right Day. Just Have To Be In The Mood For Detroit-Style Pizza.

Continuing the last 3 of the runner-up alphabet series (& then onto 2025 alphabet series with…read morerunner-ups included at the same time) and the only representing 2023, W is for Wiseguy Pizza. I first had Wiseguy on 3rd & Massachusetts Ave NW way back in 2014, and I knew I loved their pizza. I had also been to a couple of other locations in Arlington & their only one in MD, which closed, at Wheaton Mall. I visited this Navy Yard Wiseguy about 3 times. The first was on Monday, January 6, 2020. I had work travel to DC. My girlfriend of that time was working in DC. It was a brief period of time. She started in December 2019, then on that Friday, 1/10, the contract was furloughed due to the contract company President dying, so she was off for 2 weeks. Then, it was back to normal commuting back to DC, which was brief, as Covid was around the corner, and became 100% remote. She was happy I surprised her coordinating lunch at Wiseguy at Navy Yard not far from her work. This location was pretty new at the time. She & I loved our pizza. It's a thin NY style, perhaps the best in the DMV! The other noteworthy time I visited was on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Early that afternoon, I was way up at Columbia Mall, where I happened to be writing this Yelp review now, as I ate lunch & had a movie on my AMC A-List. Afterward, I was texting/calling with a friend. He was itching to go to a baseball game. O's were away, but Nationals were in town playing against one of my favorite teams, the Texas Rangers, and I had their pitcher in our Fantasy baseball league. We coordinated that afternoon having about 1.5 hours to buy tickets on phone, for me to drive from Columbia to Greenbelt Metro with some modest traffic on parts of 95, & metro all the way on Green line for the 4:05 game. My friend was running a bit later, so we didn't enter right at 4:05, but my heart sank when I heard Nats fans loudly cheering for a homer. My Rangers pitcher got clobbered by the Nats. I was pissed at him quickly dropping him the next morning as soon as I could. Although rain chances were low like 15%, there was a heavy thunderstorm that blew from DCA to Nats Park; almost the entire region was clear, but just bad luck. The rain lasted like 15 minutes, but I was pissed at the Nats because they delayed the game by 1.5 hours! They should've gotten the game going within 45 minutes. I think it was a ploy by the Nats to get people to buy more drinks & food. I refused to give the Nats a dime besides the ticket to go to the game. But after the rain, I was hungry from like the 5th inning to the end. We should've been out of there about 6:30 (which would've been on par with my hunger level) but instead like 8 PM. I told my friend about Wiseguy seeing it was quick & relatively cheap. He loved their pizza too as did I once again. If I'm ever in Navy Yard, Wiseguy is definitely a viable option for me.

THIS IS A 1-STAR REVIEW. Unfortunately, Yelp is not giving me the option to select 0 stars, so…read moreplease consider the rating shown accordingly. This was our second visit to this Wiseguy location near Navy Yard, and unfortunately, the experience was completely different from our first. Our first visit was great--we received great customer service and had no complaints. This time, however, our interaction with an employee named Oscar completely changed our impression of this location. Oscar was extremely short, dismissive, and disrespectful toward us. He made us feel as though we were inconveniencing him simply by being paying customers and eventually told us that we needed to get out. He also closed the location before 10:00 p.m., which is the posted closing time for Sundays. After getting our pizza, we sat outside to eat. Shortly afterward, an Uber Eats driver arrived to pick up an order. Since the doors were already locked, we told him to knock and let them know he was there for Uber Eats. He knocked and was ignored. We could see Oscar inside laughing while we were knocking, which came across as extremely condescending and unprofessional. I eventually went over and knocked myself. When Oscar came to the door, I told him directly that he was being very rude. His attitude remained dismissive. What made the situation even more questionable was that we had witnessed pizzas being given away before closing. Yet when the Uber Eats driver attempted to pick up his customer's order, he was told that they had thrown everything away. This was only around 10:12 p.m. Why would food for outstanding Uber Eats orders be thrown away, especially after we had just witnessed pizzas being given away? The driver ultimately left without the order he came to pick up. I understand employees want to finish closing and go home, but that does not justify treating paying customers or delivery drivers disrespectfully. If there are still outstanding delivery orders, those should also be accounted for before food is discarded. It's especially disappointing because our first experience at this location was genuinely good. Unfortunately, based on Oscar's behavior, the premature closing, and what we witnessed with the Uber Eats driver, this experience deserves 1 star. Management should seriously address the customer service and closing procedures at this location.
