We, The Pizza has been a good experience over the years. It is located on Capitol Hill, so their interest has been to consistently provide high quality pizza to staff on the Hill and local government employees. Their pizza is delicious. The have approximately 14 pizzas in rotation. I appreciate that their ingredients are fresh, natural, and many sourced locally. Their sausage is from Logan's Sausage in northern Virginia. Some of their ingredients are organic. The end product is a high-quality pizza. I also like their house-made soft drinks. As is the case with many restaurants along this side of Pennsylvania Avenue, the restaurant has two levels. The main dining room is on the 2nd floor. There are televisions on the 2nd floor and the layout is comfortable. The only inconvenience of the 2nd floor is the soda fountain is on the first floor. A soda fountain on the 2nd floor would be ideal. Also, their cookies are baked fresh and absolutely delicious. There have been times I've visited We, The Pizza just for their cookies. Overall, a very good pizza parlor experience.
Love the pizza and hand made sodas here! The crust on the pizza is so crispy and the handmade soda flavors are very original. There are no refills for the handmade sodas, but once you're done you can refill it with fountain soda downstairs, all self serve. It's conveniently located close to the Library of Congress, so it's a great spot to stop by for lunch or dinner. They have plenty of seating upstairs. It's clean, bright, and spacious. Since we went early Friday evening, it wasn't busy so we were served right away. It was lovely to have a hot slice of pizza after walking around DC all day in the cold.
I wanted this to be a four star experience because the staff here are awesome. The Detroit-style slice just did not deliver the way I hoped. When I got my slice, one side was piping hot with the cheese bubbling and the edges crisping. The other side was lukewarm. It was basically room temperature. I asked if they could reheat it and because of food safety, which is totally fair, they handed me a fresh slice. Big points for that. Unfortunately, the second slice had the same problem. The edges heated up but the middle stayed kind of meh. I do not think this is a staff issue. Detroit-style just does not work well with the per slice reheat model. If you are grabbing a classic slice, go for it. If Detroit-style is calling your name, I would recommend getting a whole pie so you can get that fresh out of the oven magic.
We all loved our pizza! This was just the place to sit and relax between seeing the sights. Nice that everyone in our family could get the pizza we wanted since you can buy by the slice. I also had a side Caesar salad and it was the perfect size to go along with my one big slice of pizza. My family all got the two slice and drink deal and it was almost too much food for them! Definitely recommend you stopping in.

It took a few trips away from home to discover that Louisiana knows nothing about good pizza. When you walk in here, there is a menu but there are also pizzas on display before you order. We got two slices each which were huge. You can probably get by with just one. Once we ordered we got a buzzer and grabbed a seat. Imagine my surprise when I was thinking they would just give us pizza straight from the display. Negative. They took it, heated it perfectly, and then buzzed us. It was excellent. Paired with beer it was even better. Was it fancy? No. Was it reasonable by DC standards? Absolutely. Would I go here again? Definitely. If you are at the Capitol or Library of Congress and want a reasonable but filling meal, walk a few blocks here. Thanks to the USCP for the recommendation.

We, the Pizza, offer a wide selection of NYC-style pizza, featuring over 14 slice options, house-made sodas, hand-tossed wings, and Italian gelato shakes served in a relaxed and trendy atmosphere. My favorite was the various murals of celebrities and the multiple quotes. Located in the heart of downtown DC and within walking distance of the Capitol and other DC attractions. I visited during a quiet time of day, which allowed staff to offer suggestions and explain the menu for first-timers like myself. A 10/10 in my book for NYC pizza eaten and enjoyed in DC.
Solid pizza shop on Capitol Hill with a wide variety of pizza options to order by the slice. Made for an easy, quick, and relatively inexpensive lunch for the area. The Hawaiian was definitely my fave - it was loaded with pineapple and chunks of sliced ham. They also have a surprising amount of seating upstairs.
Service was great ! Everyone was very attentive. Manager I believe his name was Eric was very helpful and nice! I just wished my food was as good as the customer service:( Me personally, I do not like huge wings ! If they were smaller , they would've been perfect! Veggie pizza was bland and full of dough ! I would give it another shot & just try something different!
Pepperoni Chicago pizza was borderline nasty. I just tasted the salt from the 50 pepperonis on top. The bottom crust and edges is the only reason I gave it 3 stars. The middle wasn't melts and slight undercooked. Good location. Fast service. Excellent customer service. Just work on the sauce and seasoning

Whoa now! We had a slice of the Bacon Me Crazy and a small detroit style Butcher's Block Pie (Cup-n-Char Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Virginia Honey Ham, Bacon, Fresh Oregano, Mozz-Provo Blend). Premium toppings. Fresh, plentiful, great quality. We ordered both well done and received a nice crispy edge on the crust but with all the toppings it's damn near impossible to get a strong enough base to avoid bend. It's worth the compromise- trust me! Both were delicious but I'll skip the detroit crust next time, and there will be a next time. For me the detroit crust was a bit spongy and had a slight yeast taste. Not enough to ruin the experience but enough for me to choose a different crust next time. We also got the ranch for dipping - new experience. That too wasn't for me. The ranch is homemade and great texture and flavor just not what I expected. It had a heavy dill flavor...yep...dill. Again, tasty but, for me, this is more for veggies than pizza. All in all, looking forward to trying other pizzas. Check them out. read more
Unfortunately my visit to We, The Pizza was pretty disappointing. Although the cashier was very nice and welcoming, I cannot justify waiting nearly 40 minutes for one slice of pizza and three garlic knots. The pizza was on the drier side (lacking some sauce and honestly not warm enough given how long we waited). The garlic knots were good enough but not worth a 40 minute wait, in my opinion. There was a large party upstairs that may have been responsible for the slow service but we left some time after them and noticed a super long line of folks still waiting for their food. read more

But pricey, stick to the pepperoni for a good tasting pizza! Love the adventure and tired different flavors but some were a bit too much I fear. Service was quick and they brought pizza to the table. They play good music and it's a nice vibe to just rest and eat. read more

Their strong pizza consistently makes me feel complete and happy. But the margins on the $9.00 salad make me feel empty and exploited. It is smaller than an iPhone 13. It had 9 leaves of lettuce, 4 cucumber slices, a cherry tomato. read more

This was a solid pizza place in the heart of some great eateries in DC. They had options of buying slices so you can try different types of pizzas. The Hawaiian pizza was pretty great with lots of toppings of ham and pineapple. The crust was nice and crispy, I've definitely missed the thin crusted pizza. The lychee soda refreshment was great, it was crisp and sweet. read more

After a long day of biking and sightseeing seeing, We, The Pizza was just the spot to get some killer wings and a great 'za. Everyone was super helpful and accommodating, brought up a high chair for our baby and extra napkins! Food was solid and the ranch was REALLY good. The wings were my fave, but my husband loved the butchers block pizza we ordered. Nothing makes you feel more American that being in the nations capital, in a vibey red white and blue shop, chowing on some good pizza, wings, and beer. A great spot! read more
Full disclosure: Tried to go to Tune Inn but it was packed, tiny, no seating. Anyway. Walked down Penn. Ave. and smelled the pizza and it smelled good (I was hungry), so I slid in. Lots of different pizza to choose from (they do slices which is NICE!) so I ordered a slice of Greek and a slice of Cowboy pie. Took my number, got my drink (self serve fountain, not many choices); grabbed a shaker of crushed red, found a seat. (I fortunately arrived about 10 minutes ahead of a huge party). Pizza arrives. No napkins. No napkins on table. So back to drink dispenser for napkins. Not a big deal if it's not short busy, but I had to leave my pizza and drink abandoned while the huge party made a huge line in front of the pizza display where I was sitting. Pizza was okay; nothing spectacular (certainly not up to New York standards). Crust a little thick (for thin); cornicione a little chewy for my taste. Ambiance? It's a slice joint. One of the best pizza spots I've been able to enjoy in DC. After living in Brooklyn, I've desperately been looking for a pizza place that makes a decent slice. This is the place. The slices are crispy but not too thin. The sauce is balanced and compliments the cheese well. They also have a decent drink selection. I was kinda shocked by how expensive it was for two beers, two slices, and two waters, but it is Capitol Hill so I probably shouldn't be. I really liked the murals inside, very DC-themed. The place seemed decently clean. The only tables (except one) are upstairs so doesn't seem stroller or wheelchair friendly. read more
Always a good time and great pie here. We had an event on C Street and this location was top choice of all the eateries close by. The vote paid off. When you walk in, you can see all the choices. Different pizzas from buffalo chicken, to butternut squash with balsamic drizzle - I know it reminds me of Inside Out broccoli pizza, but my friend said it was delicious. I enjoyed a DC Brau with my slices of "Aces and West Cowboy"(sausage and perpproni) and Spicy Sicilian (salami, eggplant, and peppers) The beer and pizza were both very good. Plenty of room and various size tables for your various size parties upstairs. You place your order and wait until your buzzer goes off. Pickup is just right of the register. The staff were friendly and the order came out in a decent amount of time. This location is well within walking distance of the Capitol Building and other spots in downtown DC. Enjoy. read more

I tried a couple slices. They were both pretty good! Loaded with meats and a nice crust. The chicken was good. Wasn't a good fan of the flavor but they were crispy. The space is large and ordering in person was quick. The wait time was about 20 minutes. read more
If you want a good size in the district area of DC then you should probably stop here because they have a lot of options although I didn't see a vegan option, but definitely vegetarian options. the slice was a good size and it tasted pretty good. The staff or the most helpful or overly friendly but just your typical pizza place worker. I thought the place was actually fairly clean and I thought the ambience outside and on the second floor were nice. My slice cost me six dollars and change. read more
My hubby picked up some dinner on his way back to our Airbnb so I can't review the inside or even menu! But we got a large capital supreme and it was tasty, lots of toppings and flavors. Garlic knots were also tasty. Nothing amazing but not disappointing overall!! read more

What a great pizza place! I ordered a gluten free white pizza (but they subbed garlic butter instead of béchamel due to gluten). Everything was so very good, but next time I would order something with fresh herbs only because I hate dried herbs. I appreciate the gluten knowledge from the servers. We loved the name of this restaurant so we had to try it. We ordered two large pizzas and a large Italian Chopped Salad to feed 2 adults, 3 teens and one kid. It was slightly too much food. A large pizza is 16" and has 8 slices. We got 1/2 Forest Shroomin', 1/2 Double Pepperoni, 1/2 Bacon Me Crazy and 1/2 Butcher's Block. Everyone enjoyed the pizzas and had different favorites. We also got their specialty sodas which were all very good. When you enter, you order at the counter. Someone greeted us upon entry and answered any questions. Upstairs is abundant seating and restrooms. The restaurant is clean and well-air conditioned. Definitely worth a visit when visiting the U.S. Capitol. Just a short walk down the street. read more
