Wow, I was pleasantly surprised with this cute little Korean food gem in Navy yard! We had to try the spicy chicken wings, and the fried chicken sandwich which were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! It is not as spicy as you think so FYI. I think the highlights for me were the beef bulgogi and the beef lo mein along with the wings. The Bulgogi is a must have. It comes in a sizzling, hot pot with crispied rice and gochujang sauce. We also tried the chicken teriyaki platter and it was very saucy. The ambiance is laid-back and they do have some refreshing cocktails. Also, the prices are really good. For example the platters are $18 and very good amount of food ! Street parking is available.
Hi! We just found this restaurant, and we're obsessed! We're so sad we're from Florida because otherwise we'd come here every day. The service was outstanding, the food was incredible, and the drinks were amazing. Everything was perfect. I'm not lying when I say this place is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the Lo Mein and the wings--they were absolutely delicious! Even the fries were on another level. If you're thinking about trying this place, do it! We can't wait to come back.
What a great place near the waterfront metro station. I didn't know what to order and settled on yakisoba noodles with chicken. There were a good variety of veggies and lots of chicken. Delicious! There are many choices with noodles and rices. Comfy booth and I didn't feel weird sitting alone. Fun music played in the background. My server was attentive and friendly. She made me a fresh iced tea.
Momo's was a great pick on a rainy night. The place was pretty quiet so I was a little nervous at first, but it needed up being a good choice. The soy garlic wings were great! I also had the Bibimbap which was also a good choice. Lots of chicken for the size of bowl. My favorite was the Yakisoba! It was the most flavorful!

They advertise cute cocktails on their menu but what we received was mediocre. They warn you that the chicken will take a while as it's made to order so that wasn't a problem. The problem was that they brought out my side of rice 20 minutes after the chicken! Seems like they were understaffed because that is unacceptable
I went in during a random day of the week just to get out the house. They still had some Valentine's Day items on the menu so I figured I'd try at least one item that may not be available. Our server Isaac was incredible. I felt bad because he was also the host but he was running around taking care of everything with a smile on his face. He was very warm, friendly and an absolute joy. I'll never turn down a pork belly bao bun so I had to order. But I was also interested in their Korean fried chicken. The Pork buns were okay as well as the chicken. The other people in my party had fried rice and ramen. They thoroughly enjoyed the ramen but I was told the fried rice was pretty average. I ended up getting the French Kiss Vday cocktail which was gin, pink lemonade, glitter and champagne. I did the drink was a little expensive for what it was but it was okay. All in all, I'd probably return if I was in the area but mainly to try the ramen.

I was in need of soup the other night and searched Yelp! for any restaurants in walking distance that had noodle soups. When Americans think of noodle soups their thoughts immediately go to pho. But too many people overlook ramen because when they hear the word, they immediately think of college dorm cup-o-noodles. There is no similarity. Good ramen has tender, almost al dente, fresh made noodles, tender proteins (like juicy chicken, seafood, or pork), bok choy, soft boiled egg, tofu, and other ingredients. I had never heard of Momo so I took the two block walk to check it out. The place has a pleasant bar vibe and plenty of tables for sit-down dining. I was dining solo so decided to grab a bar seat, have a draft of a local DC IPA, and watch a soccer game. The bar tender was quick to take my order of Spicy Miso Ramen plus a side of Kimchi and I enjoyed the casual company of bar diners. The restaurant was lightly populated when I got there at 6:00 on a Friday night, but by the time I left at 7:15, the place was buzzing with people. The ramen was very good, I would have given it an excellent if the egg hadn't been hard boiled instead of soft boiled. The Kimchi was exceptional though. I'm glad that I've got this local spot in my area and will be back.

HOWEVER- We ordered soy garlic chicken breast in their smallest quantity and it never got delivered to us. All of our food came except that and we waited for like 20 minutes for the food. We wanted to cancel because we were done and full already, but the waiter said we can't do that because it's being made. Then 5 mins later I see the waiter deliver FOUR trays of chicken to another table who came at a later time, and that's when we decided we're done. They were nice enough to remove the chicken from our check, saying it takes long because it's deep fried... The waiters didn't really check up on us and I had to keep calling for them, and the place was not that busy. TLDR, I'd say just skip this place.

After sitting at the bar, I was promptly greeted by my bartender/server who wasted no time in grabbing me a cold pint of beer for me. Although the restaurant is known for it's 'award-winning Korean fried chicken', I decided to go the more tradition route with a Bulgogi Bibimbap. For about 18 bucks, I thought the bowl came with a generous amount of food, and the food was above average compared to other bibimbaps that I've had. The restaurant has a pretty friendly and open vibe, and would be great for a simple 3-6 person gathering.

The soup base was miso but didn't really taste that great. The ramen I ordered was spicy but what really made it spicy was just putting lots of chilli oil.
We stopped by Momo Chicken & Grill on our first night in the Washington, D.C. area. It was already around 8:30 p.m., we were starving after a long day of travel, and my mom was craving Asian food. After a quick search, this seemed like one of the closest options near the National Mall. The restaurant was smaller than we expected, but since it wasn't busy, we were seated right away. It's neat and quiet inside and we kinda liked it. We ordered a variety of dishes, including fried rice, noodle soup, bibimbap, and other Korean favorites. The food took a little longer to arrive than expected, though that may have felt longer because we were so hungry. Overall, the food was solid and reasonably priced. My kids especially enjoyed the noodle soup, and I really liked the fried rice (which disappeared before I could even take a photo!). Nothing was particularly memorable or unique, but everything was tasty and satisfying. If you're looking for a convenient, affordable Asian meal near the National Mall, this is a good option. Just don't come expecting a destination dining experience. read more
I came to Momo Chicken and Grill for a solo lunch date and had such a lovely experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt very welcomed. The vibe inside was great and the music made the atmosphere really enjoyable while I sat back and enjoyed my meal. My server Zaid was amazing. She was very attentive, sweet, and helpful throughout my visit. She checked in at the right times and made sure everything was going well, which made the experience even better. I ended up having a big lunch and everything was very satisfying. I've also heard they're known for their wings. They can take about 20-30 minutes since they're made fresh, but people say they're absolutely worth the wait. Overall, great service, great vibe, and a perfect place to enjoy a meal even if you're dining solo. I'll definitely be back! read more
Came here for a meal this time. Got the Korean fried chicken and it was worth the hype! The smallest order is 10 pieces. It's juicy and crunchy. I will have meal for later. The walnuts old fashioned was good. Moth feel was a little thin, but my friends really liked the "forbidden fruit" and enjoyed it. The chicken katsu was solid. But I came for the Korean fried chicken. Our waitress Omozele was really nice. I love this place bc it's got local bar vibes! Like k said before. I will be back! read more

I enjoyed my time at this venue. It was recommended by my son-in-law and he is a great Foodie. He raved about the Korean chicken and he ordered us a half and half selection. It was a nice spicy Korean glaze and a soy garlic glaze. I was also very pleased to see the selection of noodle entrees. The waiter and staff was friendly and personable. It's a nice cozy atmosphere. There's a full bar to one side of the restaurant. There's clean single stall restrooms. The portions are a decent size. The quality of each of our entrees were excellent. The price reflects the quality, so I respect that. The kimchi was on point. It's a good local spot with a nice selection. I ate their food twice one week since it was near my family's apartment. read more

I love when out of town and stumble unto a delicious spot to eat. This is like an asian/korean inspired restaurant that seems to specialize in chicken. when entering I was greeted promptly and able to choose my own place to sit. The inside is clean and modern and has a very nice bar. Since they are first and foremost a chicken place I went with the Half and Half (Soy Ginger and Spicy) Wings and Beer Happy Hour Special and the Spicy Pork Bibimbap. The beer Ichiban I ordered came out in a cold mug which I always enjoy. The wings were next and they were amazing and likely one of the beat wings I have enjoyed. I am a sucker for asian food so the flavors were perfect for me and the wings were just perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy and falling off the bone on the inside. The wings were perfectly coated in the sauces and not soggy or too saucy. The bibimbap was a standard yet perfectly executed bibimbap with a perfectly fried egg on top and delicious gochujang sauce on the side. I am here all week so will need to definitely find my way to this spot again! read more

I wasn't expecting to be able to eat anything here based on the name of the restaurant and the fact that I'm vegan, but upon looking at the menu, they had a couple of Bibimbap and platter options using tofu (teriyaki tofu or gluten-free tofu) that I could get. I went with the Bibimbap without the egg to make it vegan, and it was delicious! I love that they used a little toasted sesame oil in the dish to give it some extra fragrance and flavor. My non-vegan friends got non-vegan dishes and enjoyed them, too. It was quiet when we were there - a little too early for most people to eat dinner, so service was quick and attentive. Noise level was average since there weren't a lot people and the music was audible but not loud. read more

I wish this cool restaurant had a parking lot or at least some street parking. Being able to park legally without fear of being ticketed would inspire more people to come and enjoy the restaurant. The ambiance of the place is pretty unique and it truly does seem like an inviting restaurant. Just getting there isn't the easiest. I ordered some chicken sandwich sliders to go, and just now had the chance to try them out. The smart way to order would have been to do it online, because the employee behind the counter was not too empathetic about the fact that I wasn't exactly parked legally. Everyone here seems to go at their own pace, even in spite of the fact that it wasn't busy. The sliders were outstanding and I topped off the meal with some nice iced coffee. Delicious! read more
Mono is in a high traffic not so easy to park location in SW right near the waterfront. Tip is across the street is a parking garage for the Safeway so pull in there if you must. Now let's get to the food, people have talked this place up for a long time about how great the food is, especially the chicken. We'll they were absolutely....wait for it...not right! All the food here is okay and I mean "just okay". Now would I go back yes I would, the service was decent and the place looks nice. They also have a bar. So it's a place to visit when I'm passing by and am hungry. All these 4 and 5 star ratings I've seen and heard...your tongue should be ashamed of yourselves. read more
The interior is really pretty vintage with a bunch of Beatles albums on the wall. The bar area is pretty minimal, so it has a very clean feel to it. The fried chicken is really just chicken that is pretty well fried, but it overall is just pre-standard. There wasn't anything about the chicken that really stood out to me. The soy garlic chicken was a bit too salty. I will admit, though that the drumsticks are huge. It makes me wonder what kind of hormone was injected in the chicken that resulted in such large chicken drumsticks. The menu said that the chicken would take about 30 minutes to cook but I believe we got it in about 15 minutes. The extra large chicken drumsticks had 15 drumsticks and a small cole slaw in the middle; I recommend getting a side of rice to cut the saltiness of the chicken. Overall, I think that this is a good place to get fried chicken if you are really hungry. This wasn't the best fried chicken that I ever had but it is passable. read more
